The movie was awesome!!! It is such a great love story! To be young and first love! I highly suggest reading the book first, it's great to be in the "know" with other fansduring different scenes. I thought it rocked, can't wait for New Moon :)

I think the movie protrayed the story on a basic level so that all audiences could understand. From reading the books, yes i was a little disappointed to see important things/scenes from the book not being presented the same way in the movie. The Cullens house is white in the book, adding new scenes to the movie that weren't in the book was pointless and Bella and Edward's first kiss was not in her bedroom! Also i think the movie could have done a better job of showing the intense passion and true love that Bella and Edward felt for each other. I'm not saying the movie was bad, it just would've been nice to experience the same feelings during the movie as i did while reading the book.

What a great movie! And they stuck to the book too! You definately need to read the book before seeing it to get the full understanding and to know what is being "said" between Cullens, etc. But I know anyone who was a die hard fan of the book will appreciate it. A couple of backgrounds for scenes were different, but they had all of the key conversations, and all the favorite lines included. Pattinson and Stewart did a great job and had good chemistry! The whole cast was great, adn I especially loved Alice.
You definately need to see this one! I'm only upset we are going to have to wait so long for the New Moon movie!

i read the books first, and loved them. i had high expectations for this movie and they just didn't meet what i wanted it to meet! i feel like it could have followed the books so much more, but i understand that they have to do what they have to do to make it a 2 hour movie. thanks to this movie, though, i have a new love for robert pattinson!

FIRST OFF: READ THE BOOK BEFORE YOU SEE THE MOVIE. YOU WON'T GET MOST OF IT IF YOU DON'T READ THE BOOK.
SECOND: The movie was great!!! Of course it did have some flaws but nothing that can't be repaired in the sequel (fingers crossed!). As someone who has read the book, it did kind of speed through some good parts during the beginning. BUT it got the gist of the book in the end. ALL THE ACTORS ARE PERFECT!!! All in all, an AMAZING movie! <3

Can't wait for the other three. The actors made this film, obviously the movie leaves so much of the content out, but the chemistry betweeen the actors ~ more than enough to carry the film. Great casting! Can't wait to see how Jacob shifts into a wolf. Congrats to Stephenie and all involved! Barnabus Collins from Dark Shadows would be covetting the attention, maybe he is!

The movie was definitely worth seeing. The actors all did a wonderful job (especially the Cullen characters, they all did better than I expected). The only complaint I have is that there are a few scenes that deviate from the book and do it differently. It didn't deviate enough to change the story, but there were definitely things those who read the books before seeing the movie will notice. Some characters are left out, and some are changed (Jessica not having curly hair for example, or Eric not looking awkward or with greasy hair). All in all though they did great and I was pleased.

maybe there was too much hype. I didn't think it was meant to be a comedy...but it was for me. But the acting was just SO bad, I couldn't help but laugh more often when Rob Pattinson had any closeup shots. Sure, the cast was just pretty to look at (and there are plenty of close-up shots to be happy with) but acting wise.....no sorry no. I've never read the books, so I can't tell how accurate the movie was to the book, but from what I could tell....maybe it would be better if society was more excited about reading the books still than watching this movie.

I am a 32 year old mom who started reading the books last summer. I read all 4 books at least twice and was greatly anticipating the movie. I went to the midnight viewing on Thursday and was excited and disappointed at the same time. While the movie was fabulous, I wanted more of the info from the book in it, even though it would be 5 hours long! I took my daughter to see it again tonight and loved the movie even more the second time!

I was highly upset about the way the movie was put together. There needed to be more about Bella & Edward instead of everything else. More about the Forbiden Love rather than The love between the Vampire and the Human. There wasnt enough scenes about the times that Edward was in Bella's room and the "human moments." The Clearing sceane was entirely wrong. Their first kiss was in the clearing and not in her bedroom. To many pieces of the story were missing or were in the wrong places.There wasnt enough information about the characters. People who watched the movie and didnt read the book, wont understand the next movie, while those who read the book will be disapointed.

Nothing will ever be as good as our own personal imaginations as when we read twilight. But out of all the books I've seen made into films, this one was the best. They left out many parts, but it would have had to been a show on tv dragged out into a whole season to get all of it. the actors all did a wonderful job of the characters they played. And guess what,..you DO see Edward in the sunlight! I can't wait to see it again and again!!!

Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart truly embodied the spirit of their characters and they made me dream of New Moon on the big screen. I can't wait to see Bella run through the streets of Italy screaming his name. If I dare dream maybe Catherine Hardwicke will even do Chapter 20 of Eclipse the justice it so deserves. Because I know Rob and Kristin are definitely capable after seeing Twilight. Run to the theaters to see this movie, heck I'm going again tomorrow.

The book is amazing. Cannot be beat! The movie was fun and it was nice to put faces to the characters. I enjoyed the movie. I view the movie as a bonus to the book. Overall, it was exciting and I love the characters even more now. I suggest reading the book first because it is perfect! Robert Pattinson did a fantastic job as Edward. PERFECT CASTING! Kristen Stewart is a great Bella also! Good movie! Awesome book! Amazing story!

I have read all the books, more than once, and was truely excited about the movie. It lived up to the hype. It captured the essence of the book very well, even using many lines directly from the books. However remember this is a movie and certain things (houses, cars, sequences) were changed for reasons that are not up to us (the viewers) to understand. Just remember this is someone elses interpertation. Not what was in your head. Overall, it was well worth it.

I've loved the books for years ,and I loved this movie, but if you haven't read the book, you might be a little confused, so if you haven't read it, I'd recomend reading it first or go with someone who has read it who can explain. It was true to the book for the most part, I was a little disappointed in a few of the character choices in the casting, but they were good actors. I truly enjoyed this, I've already seen it twice! If you liked the book, chances are you'll like the movie.

Seriously? The acting seemed forced. There were scenes that were not in the book, while important scenes from the book were left out. It felt rushed, as if the director didn't feel she had enough time to "cram it all in". The beach scene with Jacob, the characters at the school, were thrown in, leaving one to wonder "who are these people, and why should I care?". The one highlight was the very talented Cam Gigandet, who played the role of James. Better casting, better acting, better direction, and better editing might have saved this movie... Overall, the movie was so rushed it fell limply to the ground, like a colorful helium balloon with a leak...

I love the Twilight book it's total AMAZING AND THE MOVIE ROCKED. I loved the Cullen family, the other students and of course ^^ Robert Pattinson. He has good qualities and is a wonderful person from what I know ^^. I wish they would have spend more time working on the movie they left out SOOOO many good parts from the book and I feel that they rushed threw many parts. Hopefully if the continue with the sequals they'll take there time and put in important details but other than that I LOVED IT ^^^^^^^ :)

i thought this movie was great. the one issue i had was that it moved really fast from each different part of the movie making it a little hard to follow, especially if you havent read the book. some scenes didn't feel complete, but you have to cut down stuff for a movie. the movie was definitely not as good as the book. but they never are. i was not disappointed by this movie, and i thought it was amazing. =]

The movie is super-fantastic and even though a few elements have been changed for theatrical purposes, the story-line pretty much stays true to the book. The actors are exactly right for each of their parts. The one thing that was pretty funny was Jason Rathbone's portrayal of Jasper. He looked pretty scared most of the time.
As for having movie times set aside for 21 and over, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
We went to the midnight showing of the movie with all the teenagers, and even though the audience themselves were pretty entertaining, it was very nice to watch the movie without all of the giggly girls making their remarks and repeating lines from the book. I really hope the theatre's start doing more of this in the future.
