THe movie was really great.. there are some actually funny parts in the movie. It does follow the book pretty good there are some parts that were a little different. I pulled the book out to reread after watching the movie but it is great.

This movie was awesome! It's definately one of those that anyone would like, and I wish I could see it again. Twilight has action, romance, and even some humor! Some may not like it, but I absolutely LOVE it!

I thought this was superbly cast. I have only just started reading the series and was on Book2, so I wasn't sure how the characters would fit with my imagination. I was definitely not disappointed. Edward's character and personality was better in the movie than the book (less chuckling and smirking)! Bella was perfect. Apart from the flashback scenes which jarred against the quiet intensity of the scenery in Forks, I thought it was fantastically and faithfully filmed.

The movie was wonderful and and I can't wait for the rest of the Twilight series of movies to come out. There's some points in the movie where it seems to be a little "cheesy", especially if you read the book. But, I think the Director-Catherine Hardwicke, intended it to be that way, so it would be funny. You just don't want it to end. It's a MUST see, so get your butt's off the computer and go buy your tickets today!

Easily the worst movie I've ever seen.
The adaptation from book to movie was utterly horrible, which I wouldn't have thought was possible.
The time spent on scenes that weren't even in the book would have been much better used to provide some background details and some scenes to reinforce that Edward and Bella love each other. Because honestly, if I hadn't read the book, I would never believe that they are in love, let alone soul mates.
I'm hoping that a different director, some cast changes (the acting was so over the top terrible that is was LOL funny), and a bigger budget for the sequels will help the final product.
**Very** disappointing.

I had alot of expectations for the movie. So I thought I would be disappointed.But, once it started I was so excited. I thought it was well made and had the right actors for each person. I would go see it again. But, I would agree that you should read the book or even the series before you see the movie. But, I absoulty loved it.

I am soooo used to the typical vampire movie that it was such a treat to see things done differently. The twilight series is amazing anyways then make it into a movie wow! The director did such an amazing job with this I am so pleased. I saw it yesterday and I am going to see it again today I love it!!!!

i thought the movie was amazing but i definetly recommend reading the book first.i went with my friend and they kept asking questions.read the book first.edward wass so cute and all the actors did very well.the only down side was that the movie moved to fast and skipped some parts and added their own but other then that it was amazing.

Some say that you have to read the books before you see the movie, but i think that they set the movie enough so that you didnt have to. For a person who has read all the books religiously , like me, it missed some crucial parts and some of the scenes were cut too short to get connected like you did in the book. But altogether Robert was hott and for the most part the characters did a good job, i cant wait for the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit, the movie was good, however, the books are so much better. it's amazing to realize how much they had to cut out to keep the movie within a reasonable time. Reading the book first definitely helps when watching the movie, as many scenes seemed abbreviated.
Would recommend seeing the movie.

Like all the other Twilight fans i waited in line to watch the movie!! after 3 hours of waiting..the wait was finally over! the movie was sooo amazing and more funny than i ever imagined! edward was soo hott and also very funny!! i loved every character in that movie and almost everyone of them was funny! the only person i didn't like was Jasper. some people might not agree with me but i thought the person who played jasper did not fit into the role at all and was very akward. i didn't really enjoy it when he came onto the screen. but other than that i recommend anyone to go watch whether you've read the books or not...it is sooo worth watching!!!

I didn't go into this movie with high expectations, because movie versions of books usually let me down. I think parts of the movie were very, very well done and a lot of the acting was great - the Cullen family, for instance, were all wonderful. Kristen Stewart as Bella was the biggest surprise for me, because she really delivered and made me believe that role. My biggest disappointment, I think, was Edward; I know that Pattinson is a good actor, but in this movie, it seemed like he didn't fully grasp the part. He was awkward at times, and just not as debonair as he is described in the books (although he did look great). I think all things considered, he did an overall decent job.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the movie. I actually went there thinking I was going to be very disappointed. The book was so good I didn't know if the movie would or could do it justice...but just a little bit into the movie I was greatly surprised. All in all the director and actors did a great job! Yeah, there is a lot missing but it is still a very good movie.

The film was different from the book as was expected. But it stuck true to the story lines and the actors really portrayed the characters' personalities well. Also the special effects were amazing, and looked natural. Overall, a great film. I'd see it again.

Although the special effects did give away its modest budget, the movie delivered the goods. It captured the thrill of first love and the excitement of being drawn to someone dangerous and mysterious. Robert Pattinson was very convincing as Edward; he had the audience cheering and gushing. I loved how he actually played the piano--that was a nice touch. Kristen Stewart acquitted herself well, too. She was the Bella I imagined from the books--serious, a bit of an outsider, and with a gentle, kind heart. She even got the clumsiness part right and elicited some laughs.
In short, it captured the spirit of the book. I can't wait to see it again!

The expression "the book is always better than the movie" rings true with this film. Kristen Stewert was a believable Bella, BUT Robert Pattinson was a horrible Edward Cullen. His acting was awful, and as far as believing him to be the most gorgeous vampire ever......No way. The audience was laughing out loud at some of his more serious scenes, b/c they were so over the top. Read the book, and enjoy the visuals in your head..they're much better!!

As previously stated, read the book first. You won't get much out of it otherwise, and you will probably be confused a lot. It moves very fast, and you have to read the book to understand the motivations behind Edward and Bella's relationship. The film makers followed the book SO well. All the crucial points were there. Tons of the dialogue was straight from the book. Everyone looks incredible. Visually very entertaining. I got a lot more out of the second viewing. Once I knew what to expect, I appreciated and enjoyed the film much more.

I thought the movie did a good job of incorporating the main points in the book, sure there where things I would have liked to seen and some lines I missed hearing "Stupid shiny Volvo!"...but I sat there for 2 hours wanting it to keep going! Looking forward to the rest, why not shoot like Lord of The Rings and do them all at once???

First let me say that I read Twilight in less than 24 hours, I was utterly addicted to finding out what would happen next! So when I found out that there would be a movie made, I was a little scared.
To anyone who has ever read a book and then seen it's film, the book is ALWAYS better. I hope that people wouldn't let their expectations of this movie get too high. It is a good film, but again, the book is always better.
I thought that the story moved too quickly, some of my favorite scenes in the book were chopped away, but all in all, it told the story and the end result was the same.
I would recomend people go and see this and decide for yourselves.

The movie was very well done. I was very glad I read the book first, though!! The characters and setting were very much like I pictured them. I agree with a previous post that the scenes moved too quickly from one to the next, but overall, GREAT!! A great movie for teens and adults.

IMO this movie is as good as it gets when it comes to book to movie adaptations. Twilight holds true to the love story of the book and I liked that additional scenes were added. I also laughed more than I expected and I really liked that. I felt all the tension while watching the movie that I felt when I read the book. I fell in love with Edward Cullen all over again. I saw this movie 3 times opening day and plan to go back again and again. I hope the sequels are mad!

We loved this movie. My daughter, son and myself went to see it and we all loved it. I felt it moved a little too fast but only because I wanted it to last forever. The characters all did so good and it even had some funny moments. Edward's expressions throught the movie were awesome and funn and it does help that he is HOT!
