Thoroughly Entertaining

I thought this movie was extremely amusing and entertaining. Everyone played their part perfectly, and it was funny without being slapstick. The romance part is a sideline to the actual story - so its not too sappy. All in all, it was a great cast, and really fun to watch!

great action and highly entertaining characters, as well as perfectly timed one liners, make this a truly entertaining, feel good, get the bad guys kind of movie.

I thought this was superbly cast. I have only just started reading the series and was on Book2, so I wasn't sure how the characters would fit with my imagination. I was definitely not disappointed. Edward's character and personality was better in the movie than the book (less chuckling and smirking)! Bella was perfect. Apart from the flashback scenes which jarred against the quiet intensity of the scenery in Forks, I thought it was fantastically and faithfully filmed.

Predictable, but Solid Movie

I thought it was a good solid, albeit slightly predictable, movie. A nice bit of escapism - unfortunately with the requisite Sparks ending.. say no more..
Diane Lane is stunning as always, and Gere (while softer with age) is always easy on the eyes.
P.S. Take some tissues if you are easily moved.
