Ok, this was and awesome movie. I didn't like the book that much because a lot of it just drew on and on. I have always been a vampire fan and the book made me wonder if vampires were good in this light, but the movie changed that. It was much better than I imagined and the actors did a perfect job of playing the characters. I will recommend this movie to everyone even if they don't like vampires.

Actors were great. Writers messed up. Loved the books. The movie was disappointing, things that should have been left in was taken out and things that should have been left out were put in. Things not in the book were added.

Wonderful movie if you go in expecting nothing and are a fan of the books! I loved it and will see it again! Edward was sooo intense!!!! I wish the movie wasn't so low budget but that's ok, I am an optimist and loved it for what it was! I can't wait for the next movie!

The beauty and perfection of seeing the most exquisite, phenomenal love story alive on the screen is undefinable. With greatest expectations held, watching the movie in its' entirety broke barriers I didn't even think existed - and yet in awe I found that flawless love expand within. I am already anxious to see it again. What a surreal experience, how artfully shot and brilliantly acted. This was fully a reality, words became memory rekindled right off the page and my imagination, landscapes felt like home to me, nothing was left out that could not be remembered and condensed so wonderfully in the time that was given. If there is only one flaw it is that this movie ever had to end.
Twilight will stay in your blood forever.

Without a doubt this is a "chick flick"! I felt a bit strange sitting among all the teen age girls and the few slightly older girls! Movie was well cast but left out some good story guides in the book. Don't they all! Was much more fun to watch the reactions of the girls watching the movie than to watch it myself. The one theme that really bothered me was the one that "bad boys can be made better by good girls"! And that good girls never change. Neither one is true. This is where most abusive and broken marriages come from. Passion does not last forever. Would discourage my daughter from seeing it. Ed

I give this movie four stars, with a minimal budget where most movies of this kind would have hundred mil or more this movie achieved what it set out to do, capture the love and devotion between edward and bella. I did not have high expectations for this movie but after watching it I was 100% satisfied. Granted they changed some stuff from the book but nothing that didn't make sense.

For anybody that's read the books, Twilight may come as somewhat as a dissapointment at first. I have read the books, and I felt this way at the beginning. But, really, it's a great movie. I thought that it moved a little too fast, compared to the book. But I'm somewhat okay with that, considering they had to cut some stuff out for time reasons. My suggestion would be to read the books if you haven't already before seeing the movie. There's a lot more detail, and it explains how the Cullens came to be better then the movie did. In my opinion, the movie has the potential to leave non-readers confused. But overall, it was fantastic.

This movie was good, not as good as the books but that's to be expected when they convert a book into a movie. My favorite character was, surprisingly, Charlie. I thought he was hysterical, the perfect comedic relief. I was a little bummed by the portrayal of Edward. He came off as a shy and awkward teenager instead of the confident and arrogant centenarian that he was written as in the book. The other part that bothered me was how rushed the romance was. I understand that it is a movie and needs to move along faster than a 500 page novel, but the building romance is my favorite part of the book so I would have liked to see a little more of it not just "poof" we're in love.

This movie is awesome. It tells the story of Bella and Edward in the beginning. The movie doesn't go exactly by the book - but it gets the point across on how much Edward and Bella love each other. The ending is breathtaking and leaves you wanting more.
Edward can bite my neck anytime he wants. There is somsething about how he loves Bella and how he treats her that makes older women fall in love with him. He is a true gentleman and very sensual.

Eventhough I felt like the oldest one in the theater, at a mere 49 years old, it was fantastic.
The previews did not do it justice. I was concerned that having read all of the books, I would be horribly disappointed. Wow! I wasn't! I did miss some of the details from the book that obviously had to be overlooked for length purposes, but overall it was cinematically perfect and a very touching love story.

Without reading the books, you will like this movie. If you read the books, it will make more sense and you will love it. Lots of time spent on the beautiful scenery. After the first 15 minutes the movie starts to pull you into the characters. The feelings between Bella and Edward do not need sex to enhance it. Hopefully, everyone will read all 4 books!

If you go in open minded and realize there is no way to cram a 500 page book into 2 hours you will enjoy this film! Look past the low budget, albeit not awful effects and enjoy a great romantic, action adventure!

The movie was okay. it was a good interpretation of the book to movie. Better then the Harry Potter ones for sure. I thougth some of the actors/actresses were okay for the parts but they could have picked other actors/actresses that would have played the parts better and/or been a better represenation of the characters. For example Hayden Christian would have been a better Edward (all around), Kristen Steward was too pretty to be Bella ubt her interpretations were good, and Taylor Lautner just didn't look like he was Jacob but played the part well. On the other hand James and Victoria were played/casted very well. i also thought when Edward walked into the light for Bella he could have sparkled more, you really had to look for the sparkling

I read the books religiously and own them all, and yet made sure not to be a stickler when watching the movie - I hate when people point out every difference between a movie and book. They're bound to be different due to perspective differences and time restrictions. The problem was the horrible acting (sorry, Rob - I still think you're a great guy), HORRIBLY corny script ("hang on tight, spidermonkey!"), and awkward shots. It left me laughing hysterically in my seat with friends that also call themselves "Twilight Lovers." Sure it was fun because I walked out with my abs aching from laughing so hard, but was it worth the two hour wait, jittery anticipation, and $1 service charge? Not at all.

I was thrilled with Twilight. Of course things were different in ways from the book, but they always change things. It keeps it interesting. I loved everything about it. I've read and loved all the books and was really looking for toward the movie. It was horrible. The acting other than Robert Pattinson was really bad. Bella had no personaity and was always doing some weird twitch nodding thing before she said a line. Really bizzare. It was shot like a b-flick low budget movie,there was no flow between scenes and no building of Edward and Bella's relationship. If you hadn't read the book I think you would have a really hard time following the story.
The only good thing I can say--it stayed pretty true to the story and there was some humorous dialogue so we did get to laugh a little. I went with 4 other women in my age group who have all read and loved the books and we were all disappointed.

I didn't expect the film to be Oscar-worthy...but even though my bar was set low, the movie turned out to be a HUUUUGE letdown. The script writer should be fired and banished to another country. The screenplay adaptation was by far the most miserable, embarassing script I have ever seen. The movie was SEVERELY rushed, skipping through the most pivotal moments in the story with just a few seconds of attention. It was so choppy and confusing. They should have done a better job of building up the relationship between Edward and Bella, as is done with the book. Summit should have allowed financing for another 30 minutes of feature film, to give the story the justice it deserves on the big screen.

I went to see Twilight twice yesterday. The first time things moved very quickly and although I quite enjoyed it, I found myself coparing it to the book too much and looking for specific scenes and things that were different. The second time, I just sat back and enjoyed the movie. The only thing that could have made it any better would have been if it was longer and we would have gotten a bit more build up in the Bella/Edward relationship. The casting was spot on and the acting was excellet. Kristin and Rob were Bella and Edward.

The production was good, but things were out of order and far too many things were changed.
WHY THE F*** DIDNT EDWARD SPARKLE?!?!
Did anyone else notice this? It was like he was sweating, not sparkling. I wanted a full-out, stop traffic shine, and I got some sweat glitter. Not cool Summit, not cool.
Yeah, and the romance? Where was that?! I know it was more action-filled than the book and that was good, but they only /really/ kissed once and pretty much the entire book is supposed to be them in love.
I think the movie was good, but only about 1/5 as good as it could have been.

I loved the books I have read each one at least ten times, and I'm sorry rob patinson is not nearly hot enough to play edward, the movie was very choppy and disjointed, the cgi effects were cheesy, and if you are looking forward to the characters saying specific lines from the book, face it it'as not happening, I wish that i did not waiste the 10.50 on this movie, I'm sorry I hated this as much as I hated the movies based on Anne Rice's books.
