I loved this movie. Both Will and Rosario put forth awesome performances. I am glad no one told me about the movie in advance because it added to the suspense. At the heart, this is a love story but it is unlike anything you've ever seen. I felt his pain throughout this film. I am so proud of Will Smith! I read a review before I saw this movie this afternoon that rated it 2 1/2 stars. Don't believe everything the critics say. This movie was outstanding. This was one of the best heart warming as well as heart wrenching movies I have ever saw. The theatrical style is a flashforward and a flashback narative with the movie starting from the end, forward with flashbacks that explain the development of the character. Obviously the critic that rated this movie was a rookie that did not understand or couldn't follow this theatrical style. It was extremely well acted. I think it was Will Smith's best dramatic performance. The entire audience left the theatre in tears. This is definitely a must see!!!

Seven Pounds is a truly beautiful story. Although it ends in a state of affairs that will leave you holding back tears - or at least trying to - it is not a sad story. The previews didn't really give us a clue as to what it the movie is TRULY about, and the movie doesn't either - until the final 25 minutes. This one is all about perception; its meaning will lie in the eyes of the beholder. You'll be crying both tears of heartbreak, as well as tears of happiness, simultaneously... The Direction is incredible, and Will Smith is PHENOMENAL. In one word: Powerful.

This had to be one of the worst films of the year or of the past two years. The attempt to make it an intellectually-charged plot ended up short. The movie lacked the fundamentals (a plot, a climax, and an ending that left you satisfied). Even the presence of Will Smith did not save the film - everything seemed out of place and underdeveloped! In the theatre, people were falling asleep around me and I stayed up with the hopes that it would get better - unfortunately, that never happened. I would never see this movie again! I'm a big Will Smith fan, and I enjoyed his performance in the film. But the first hour dragged for me. It is filled with obscure references to earlier events in the form of flashbacks that do little to build suspense or interest. I was frustrated and bored by the midway point. Will Smith is AMAZING in his role, with worlds of expressions in his facial quivver, and a plethora of emotions abailable to him in his craft of storytelling.. Smith definitely has star power and brings beleivablility to the story. Woody Harrelson has only a small role, but he's great in this film. He's gained so much weight, though, that he's hardly recognizable.

it was ok. its a lil lengthy (1hr 58 mins) and it leaves you hanging until the end. you really cant piece it all together until the end and then you wonder why
