Despite the criticism this movie received for being all "backstory," it is easy to forget that as you are pulled into the earlier life of Logan and Victor. The action scenes are generally good, but there are many times I cringed at the lack-luster CG of Wolverine's claws. Fortunately for this movie, you come to rather like Logan as a person, something that was much harder in the earlier movies. A few of the scenes in the movie do drag, but soon enough there's action galore and those dreary moments are forgotten as battles rage and muscles ripple. If you're looking for a movie that has a nice blend of action and story, this one won't disappoint.

Awesome movie, great plot, a lot of action and a well done graphics. This movie makes a great explanation of Wolverine (Logan) and a perfect plot to the X-man movies.

Logan was always my favorite and now he got to show his stuff. Some parts were different, but I never got to read the comic book for this series. The War Montage was awesome, I would use that for a history class if I was a teacher. Do yourself a favor and go see it.

Great storyline. Nonstop action. The only criticism I have is that the movie was too short. The movie glossed over some of the earlier action and did not completely explain what powers Logan's brother has. Nevertheless, the movie had great action, imaginative fighting scenes and one of the best ongoing storylines in action movies today.

As a movie it wasn't horrible but from a lifelong Wolverine fan, it was very weak. There was no passion from the writers for the characters. When bad things happen to Wolverine, there isn't a lot of emotion to it because the writers never make you care about the characters. It's kinda like, someone dies, oh no, next scene. The only person to get Wolverine right to date was Brian Singer. If you want to watch a good Wolverine movie, watch the mansion scene from X2. That raw emotion never shows itself in X-Men Origins. I was highly disappointed.

It was a strong showing of a comic book series. The story was good and linked back well to the three X-Men movies. The action was strong and there were good twists that didn't always turn out the way I expected them. Though a bit perdictible, it's a comic book genre and why would I not predict it. Just like any "book" turned into a movie - there are certain things you cannot change. And I always like the "stay to the end of the trailer bits" and this one did not disappoint.
Though it wasn't the best movie ever - it was solid and kept the action level through out the movie.

Critics and reviewers are making pains to point out this movie's flaws, but i think what they're expecting is another Dark Knight or Iron Man. X-Men Origins: Wolverine only needs to do one thing: be the best Wolverine movie it can be. I think in that respect it succeeds admirably.
Not only does it make up for the lackluster and somewhat uneven X3, Wolverine manages to tell the story leading up to the first X-Men movie (and, more critically, X2) as well an give Hugh Jackman another shot at one of his best roles. Liev Schreiber excels as Sabertooth, much more than Taylor Mane did in the first X-movie. And Danny Huston portrays a convincing William Stryker.

This movie was good. It was better then Daredevil, Electra, all of the Punisher movies, Fantastic Four 1 and 2, and I enjoyed it.
There were some issuies with certain things, but that comes with being a comic book geek. Point is, most people hated this movie for the wrong reasons. I hated the last 1/4 of the movie. But loved the rest. There were some things they should not have done, but its Hollywood. Look Go see it. It is worht it the time.

I enjoyed X-Men Origins: Wolverine more than I thought I would. I have seen all of the X-Men films and I thought that this one was pretty exciting. I thought that there was a little confusion about some of the characters and which ones they were portraying from the comics. Stay through the credits for an additional scene at the end which hints at a future for one of the characters!

If you ever read the comics, you would appreciate this movie. It outlines the full beginning of Wolverine, as well as lightly touches base on the beginning of the Academy.

A great way to understand how Wolverine became Wolverine. Hugh Jackman was meant to do this roll. Very believable. Non-stop action with a good plotline. Great on the big screen

Marvel, feeling gluttonous and bulletproof after the success of Iron Man, decides to back up the Brinks truck to Hugh Jackman and tell another Wolverine story.
While Jackman inhabits the cinematic creature he brought to life, the cast that surrounds him, and most importantly, the script that supports him fall terribly short in scope and execution.
The script meanders about, never quite focusing on what they are trying to tell.
The supporting cast is poorly cast, poorly written, and just occupying space while Jackman scowls at the camera.

I wasn't expecting much since I had read some movie critic reviews, and most were not kind to this film. However, So I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the movie as much as I did.. If what you're wanting is great action, then this is it. If you're looking for lots of character development for Wolverine or any other mutant, then you will be disappointed.

but it was slow at times. There was some stuff that could have been left on the cutting room floor and saved for DVD. I didn't leave the theater feeling great, but I didn't leave hating the movie. I really think that it could have been better, but for the most part, good effort on the movie. Some scenes were drawn out and could have been shortened. Some characters could have been utilized better... there were little things wrong with the movie but I would still recommend people to go see it.

I think the movie is much better than what a lot of the reviews said about it. It not only had great actions and cool characters, the story was pretty good and the flow, edit of the movie was great. Everything gelled and the characters were all great. Hugh and Liev did a really great job. Effects were overall good and as I said, some great actions scenes combine with with great visual effects. Go check it out, I recommend it.

This movie was better than any X-men movie just for the fact that you get to focus on the best character the whole movie. They didnt try to overload you with the other characters because there is no time to. Great storyline and effects. Some really emotional scenes that worked also. Hugh Jackman is a great actor period but Liev Schreiber added some great acting as his brother and really pulled you into the movie. I love Ryan Reynolds but was afraid throwing him in the movie would maybe take away from it with his humor but it was great and ended up being perfect for the ending. I wish the movie would have ended with a bang rather than a fade away but nothings perfect. If you liked X-men at all You should love Wolverine!

Today was Free Comic Book Day! All across America comic book shops were giving away books to fans young and old.
And what better way to celebrate this super hero holiday than to take in the latest film adaptation of Marvel Comics.
This big screen spectacular was much better than the version leaked onto the Internet! All special effects were complete and the story just flowed!
Hugh Jackman was born to play this character! He's tough, talented, and one mean SOB! Just like in the comics!
Liev Schreiber helped to hold it all together as a dynamic villian with depth and dimension!

The story had several interesting plot twist and the action scenes were very well done. The movie was an ideal length and was able to keep the attention of the viewer throughout the entire film The situation set up for the central conflict was a little too contrived but the set up led to a great ending. Overall it was an entertaining movie and I would strongly recommend anyone to see the film.
