The action in this movie was better than I expected it to be, I only wish the movie was longer. The cameos by other mutants was really cool, would have been nice to see them all use their powers at least a little. Hugh Jackman was born to play Wolverine.

I loved it! I was happy that they didn't turn him into a whining sniveling baby like they did in X-Men 2 & 3! Sorry! That is way too untrue to his character in the comics! He's just too much of a tough guy for that! It was also nice to see what he never completely recalled in the comics (so far as I know as it's been a while since I read them).

First of all, one should remember that movies are for entertainment. Growing up with the comic books, and cartoons and now movies, I wish everything was the same as when I was a child, but that is sometimes imposible. In this case, Wolverine was even better than my expectations. I enjoy good direction, good sound, and special effects. Therefore, I loved this movie, not just because Hugh Jackman looked sexy (he really did eh) but because it was packed with everything related to Wolverine, which is why this movie is called this way. Hopefully they will do ORIGINS for most characters, even if they were to put them together to save time.

I liked the movie. I wished they would have used Gambit and Deadpool a little more but perhaps they have plans for them in future films. All in all as a Wolverine fan it was very fun to watch and I will buy this once it comes out on DVD.

Wolverine was a decent movie and I had a fun time watching it. No new ground was broken, but, that is kinda to be expected in a prequel.Like many of the reviews have stated, the script has its weaknesses and never really rose above average. It was entertaining, but not without its flaws. One of the more noticeable flaws is with the use C.GI. Some of the effects shots were obviously rushed or done on the cheap. The action was well done and its certainly worth seeing.

This movie is great for everyone. I had not see the previous X-men movies, but wanted to go with the family to the movies. I was not at all disappointed. Great action. Great story, which I was not lost having not seen the other movies. My kids loved it, my husband loved it. Can't wait for more of these origin movies.

Id rate this fair only.
My husband has an extensive knowledge of the xmen and had to put it aside to watch this movie.He walked away saying it wasnt bad
my knowledge is limited, but I still couldnt get into it. It seemed longer than it was.
The action was repetitive and sparse. And much like previous posters I was shocked at how little the "special team" got for screentime including ryan reynolds.
worse part of the movie was wolverine's "claws" the upgrade that is. the CGI was so horribly transparent and gaudy for them.
and emma frost- um yeah- thats all I gotta say about her cameo
No, I do not recommend this movie.

A very good interpretation of Wolverine's origins although not accurate per Marvel's version but Hugh Jackman was freakin' hottttt anyway!!!! What a sweet a** on that man!!!!

Too much CGI used for the movie. The storyline could have been better. I was disappointed that most of the "Special Team" had 10min of screen time. I was most disappointed in the lack of screen time for Ryan Reynolds. I would have liked to see his character more.

Wolverine was the perfect mix of plot and popcorn action. Summer blockbusters should never be academy award type fair. You don't want to spent too much time debating the plot because it will take away from enjoying the action sequences. Wolverine delivers on that note. Jackman does an on point interpretation of wolverine mixing rage and humor while sticking to the theme of fighting the animal inside to maintain humanity. Kudos.

I took my two grandchildren to see the movie. They loved it. Riveted to their seats the whole time. Lots of action. Good plot. And, it answers the question: How did it start? Well, almost. In any case, only the wife wasn't impressed. That's because she likes the smoochy kinds of movies and the rest of us love the action kinds.

Very good plot for the movie. I was surprised at the way they set up the end, it was a very good transition into the X-Men series. Wolverine was intense, his claws looked much more intimidating in this movie.

I felt that the movie did tie into the previous movies well at the end, however, I have more question after seeing this movie. Where did all the other adult mutants go and the younger ones that were Scotts age, which would have been his age in the other movies. Storm and Strikers son were the only one's I recognized. I think this one should have found a way to draw on the characters to be which they only breifly did. Over all this is a good action movie and I will probably see it again before it leaves the theaters.

wolverine is a troubled character from the start of the film and no help from his brother sabertooth dragging him into a life of killing that wolverine dosent seem fits his life and sabertooth is fueled by itand gives expanations for which wolverine recieves the antimantioum and becomes a weapon x experiment to now his purpose is to wanting to revenge for his (murdered)wife and how he lost is memory for the future film where he never remembers his past and characters that are in the x-men films or are gonna be in it.I enjoyed the film and hope to see it again soon .-

I thought it was great and I'm NOT a 12 year old boy., Actually exactly opposite I don't know how this is getting bad reviews in the media. Is it one of those "make you think, life changing" type of movies??... Well no, but hey if you want to get lost for a couple of hours on how yummy Huge Jackman is then it's a great popcorn movie, especially if you are a bit of an X-men geek like me.

Overall it was a pretty good movie but the plot/storyline was a little weak. Standing alone as its own movie it gets 3 out of 5 stars. However, if you have seen the other x-men movies, you know the story of wolverine more and the movie becomes more engaging earning it 4 out of 5 stars in my book.
