This movie was great full of action and awesome Character line-up HJ does not disappoint Liev was great as well I was pleasantly surprised by Ryan reynolds role and Gambit was smooth. This movie was what I had hoped for except for the end it was a little dry but the movie is well worth the ticket price I plan to purchase it when it's released on DVD. Way to go Hugh.

Wolverine is my favorite character of all the X-men. This movie explained a lot and is full of action. I am actually looking forward to seeing more of the backgrounds of other X-men (Hint: Storm). The only criticism I have is the movie lacked Wolverine's quit wit one liners. This movie is one of the best movies of the year.

Too much unprovoked violence (children killing people; brothers wanting to kill each other; wife murdered; military leader murdered); should have been Rated R in the Horror Genre. Just because there was no blood, doesn't mean it's not truly violent and it causes nightmares and desensitizing of violence. Who needs that these days? However, the storyline was well developed and the acting good, but that's about it. Wanted my money back.

I'm a fan of the Xmen series but this was way overated. Plenty of action sequences but they never melded into a buyable plot that made Wolverine shine. Ending was nothing special and very predictable. Waisted my money!!!

I'm most amazed at how the writer seem to make it all fit into prospective. some 15-20 year after the original story, they're able to go back and create such a perfect pre-qual. Excellent film great entertainment, i look forward to the other X-Men Origins films to follow.

I have seen all the X-Men movies, but I never watched the cartoons are read any comic books, if there were any, so this movie really allowed me to undrestand how it all started and the mystery behind Wolverine.... Great action... just make you wish there was another X-Men movie in the making....

I've liked all of the Xmen series, this is my favorite so far. The scenes are larger-than-life with great locales and fantastic action. Even the trailers at the beginning of the movie were good!
*PARENTS*: I don't know who they paid off to get the PG-13 rating, but this movie is not for kids. People are shot, stabbed and sliced throughout the movie (Wolverine, hello?) but the murderous intent of the characters is crystal clear and I was shocked to see kids as young as 5 and 6 years old at the theater. This easily surpasses other rated "R" movies in violence. I just hope people use their common sense when thinking about sending their kids to a flick with 10" knives on the poster.

This movie was terrific for explaining the background behind who is Wolverine and why does he act like he does. In addition, Hugh Jackman does a terrific job.
The movie does not follow the comics exactly however, and there will be those die-hards that resent any changes. But for those of us that remember that it all is a fantasy and that fantasies can and do change - it was a wonderful addition to the X-Men series.

This movie allows Wolverine fans to deeply understand that although Wolverine is dangerously violent and hostile at times he has a reason to be. Although he is betrayed, we can see that his anger is always tempered by unmistakable Compassion and Love.
The action sequences were amazing and the movie allowed the viewers to empathize with the Wolverine and explore his personal relationships with his brother and the love and loss of his wife.

The film is good... If your not a fan of the comic then you'll find the movie to be fun and exciting.
But for those of us with 30 years of comics running through our heads... This movie sucked! Wolverine is a killer, from time to time he shows a kinder soul. But deep down, in his core. The Wolverine is a cold blooded killer.
This Wolverine is such a wimp. The wolverine in X-men 3 was closer to what Wolverine is than in Origins!

ok ,here it is the Wolverine movie was good for what it is, a reach by non comic book people in making a comic book movie, the pg 13 rating should have given everybody a hint and for those of us who remember the movies fox put out called xmen all 3 movies then this film should be a godsend hugh is great and as the ol best at what he does and the rest of the cast did what fox wanted and looked tough .The movie felt rushed at times but was great for soda and popcorn so for the people who know wolvie from the comics it falls short but remember if fox doesn't use the franchise then marvel gets it back and they only care about the money so you get this ,oh and by the way a solid B

Big booms, lots of zoom! But not better than X-Men 1 & 2. The directing made the film jumpy, and the story had no warmth or heart. How can Wolverine, so full or rage, simply turn and walk away when he finds out that he's been betrayed without ripping the place apart? Great acting from Schreiber made his character so much darker than Wolverine, I almost wished the film was about Sabertooth. Overall, lots of fun, and classic summer blockbuster flick

Not being a comic book reader I was slightly confused by some of the characters but especially at the beginning I thought it was great character development but you did not find out what happened to a lot of them. There was slightly too much green screen especially in the background. I am wondering if they either rushed the movie with a low budget which I cannot see or if the producers were too lazy to put it in. All in all a definite guy film and would definitely watch it again.

The movie is an absolutely what you call a summer movie, its enjoyable all the way. Completely an action movie with stylish wolverine leading they way.. Liev as sabretooth does a great job, watch out for the climax fight , its awesome!!

I can give a pass to the most of the inconsistencies in the movie because they add to the story telling, but…The biggest bastardization that really ruins the entire movie is what they did to Deadpool. I know they couldn't give him the same amount of time as the Logan/Victor story, but he has been completely ruined for any future movie barring a complete retelling. What's with the combo powers thing? And taking away the Merc with a Mouth’s ability to speak? C'mon! Also, it felt like Wolvie was part of the team for about 5 minutes, hardly enough to propel the supporting characters in the rest of the story. Plus shoehorning Cyclops and a creepy looking Professor into the storyline just killed it for me.

I have been dragged to every comic book movie ever made by my dear dork of a husband. Personally, I thought this one was one of the best. The action was nonstop, which maybe bothers some, but I thought the scenes were amazing. The story tied in with the comics, and I "got it" even if though I haven't read them (husband was the one who said it followed a lot of the comics story lines). I especially loved the intro to the movie, and the ending made me excited to see what is to come. All in all, good fun!

I thought it was great! i am a fan of the X-men and Wolverine specifically. This movie went back to what is good about the back story of X-men - do we punish those who are different in advance to feel "safer". Action was terrific and Schreiber was a great villain as was Stryker. I will own it and watch it again. Now, where is my Captain America story??!!

I think it stuck close to the comics, so if you are fan you will enjoy seeing familiarity. But I think the story line for a movie was not as attractive. There were many plot holes and if you don't know much of the background it seems short-sighted. Good action makes it a plus, but if you going in complete novice to the X-men marvel saga then I would be prepared. Maybe read up a little on the wolverine chronicles first. Hope you enjoy!

I went into this movie expecting what I got. A action flick that wound itself loosely around the actual facts in the Wolverine comics.
I know, some of the facts are squewed a bit. But you have to remember that probably the majority of the veiwers dont read the comic books that he is based on. Same iwth all the other "hero" movies they make. We shouldnt get all worked over some nitpicky stuff.
And yes I COULD get nitpicky as I watched it. I went with some non comic reading folks and they asked questions and I had to explain some stuff that wasnt correct, but didnt hurt the movie. And Im a comic collector for the last 35 years.
All that said. I give it 2 thumbs up for an entertaining movie. Worth going to.
