I have not read a lot of the comics but this move gives you his story and is great even if you have not seen X-men. I anouther one of those pre-quels so if you don't like that then take that into consideration, but there is a reason he is the best loved X-men charter and this movie definitly shows it!

It was OK. Felt it was dragging in a few spots. Nothing surprising. Decent entertainment but not nearly as good as the previous X-Men movies. If I had to rate it, I would give 2 1/2 stars.

The CG and Jackman are top notch. The downside is the the style and general direction bring the enjoyment down. It did not flow like the other x-men movies and the painful exact comic book facts but large omissions of logic threw me at times. (this is a movie not a comic)Like the magic bullet that erases a brain when a 40 story fall onto pavement does not? Anyway, in short I was in awe of the CG and my girl went rubbery seeing Jackman but don't ask for more.

I thought the movie was amazing! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves action packed movies. My only complaint is that they didn't show more of the others' powers...I would've loved to have seen Gambit use his powers more.

This was a great way to start May off.... It was a really great film with a great story line, and an unexpected twist. It is not an XMEN sequel...as we normally expect, but a great continuation on a great storyline.
The critics version was lame. Those guys need to be replaced. 87 million is not a bad starting weekend. Kudos to Hugh Jackman and his crew.

The movie is like taking a bath in poorly filmed cliches. Whenever possible the Producer's opted for something cheesy and overought.
A few strong performances from our (wasted) leads don't rescue a film where dialogoue like "I'm coming for blood" and "My love for you was real" and "This isn't over" is shouted every 30 seconds.
An utter failure with a CGI wax figure of Patrick at the end. OMG spoilers!

This is a comic movie worth seeing. Pretty faithfull to the source material (a few exceptions). I thought this film had HUGE suck potential and was very relieved how good it was. I'd rank it slightly above Iron Man but (obviously) below the Dark Knight.

To tell you the truth, i didn't know what to expect from this movie. It surprised me to the very end.
from the start , to the very end, was an action packed film that made you sit on the edge of your seat. Hardly no blood and gore, but an amazing actor, hug Jackman, who played the part of wolverine, gets better everytime.
i give this film two big thumbs up.
I hope in the future they continue the saga of
X men.

If your a serious Xmen fan, you will find yourself dissappointed in some ways, and enjoy it in others. They changed some of Wolverines life stories, and unfortunately about ALL of Gambits action you saw in the previews. Good movie overall, but not what i had hoped for. Ending was good, but it contradicts itself as well.

The only hiccup in storyline I found which was (easily) over written was that Sabertooth(Victor) in the books Wolverine Origin was not his brother, but he could easily have been mistaken for. the movie in general though great story and action.

This is a great movie even if you haven't seen the first 3 Xmen movies. You may not know who all the characters are in that case but the acting, the action scenes, and the plot are excellent. If you have seen the first 3 then what are you waiting for??? This is a chance to see Wolverine evolve into what he is today and our first glimpse of Deadpool, Gambit, and Emma Frost. I really hope for a continuation of this prequel, though unlikely. A fourth sequel to the original 3 would be awesome if Hugh's willing of course. Let's hope!

If you read the comics, know the characters, and hate when writers more familiar with writing big budget Michael Bay action schlock decide they don't need to read the comics to write a "killer movie, dude", then prepare to hate this movie.
Everything seems to be going along fine, taking small liberties, until Wolverine walks away in slow motion from an exploding helicopter. Thats when the shark has been jumped and the writers must have given up and started throwing darts at characters to include and reasons for them being there.

My family and I enjoyed the movie. We liked the action thoughout. We didn't like the look of sabertooth, we were used to his look from the other 3 x-men movies we expected once he was away from wolverine he would change into more sabertooth like the other movies. We did like the hint about Cyclops and Professor X. We can't wait for more.
