Excellent movie. If you liked the first Transformers movie, you'll definitely like the second. All of the characters reprise their roles. There is humor, a hint of love, and non-stop action from beginning to end. You get to delve a little deeper into the Transformer Universe and learn a little about their background and origins- which I found extremely interesting. Who knew Optimis Prime was so "special" and was able to kick so much butt! I have a whole new respect for that Autobot.

Very Good Movie

This was an excellent movie, tons of action, more even than the first one. Shia Labeouf is great once again and Megan Fox is well, gorgeous. If you enjoyed the first than you should love this one as well. Although it is a long movie, it never slows down, it doesnt feel like 2 and a half hours. Seeing this movie really got me excited for Transformers 3.

If you liked the first one you'll like this one

I like action movies and generally like movies which are based off of comics and franchises from my childhood. I liked the first movie even though it was cheesy and focused more on special effects than building characters or a solid plot. Revenge of the fallen goes the same way. It doesn't have a too involved plot and the end is guessable half way through the movie, but it does have great special effects and a solid soundtrack. The love story in the movie is awkward as it is trying to skirt the territory between "o.k. for kids" and "interesting for adults." All in all I'd say it's worth watching.

The only thing I would have changed about the movie were the obscene references and language, and the characteristics given to the newer transforming characters. To me they seemed too comical to be taken seriously and would have taken down my rating of the movie except for the fact that this movie includes the most amazingly awesome, action packed robot beatdowns anyone will ever see in the history of robot beatdowns. It almost brought tears to my eyes how cool the effects were. If you liked the first one, no doubt you will love the second.

I liked this movie. There sure wasn't a shortage of action. The story line was pretty good and there was a little more humor than the first movie. Seems like the robots got a little more goofy and human-like. I recommend seeing this movie. It's definitely entertaining.

This movie had some of the longest action sequences that I have ever seen and hoped for Hulk and all the next Marvel movies take notes. This is how you commit to action in a movie.Great special effects Great story Little less profanity and humping (Kids on board) No dead air in the hole 3 hr movie No drinking aloud or bathroom breaks a must. (Ice in cups instead).Will see it again this time IMAX bay-b.

Too much action for me

Just my opinion...got a little old with all the action. It didn't help that we sat in first row watching it on the ultra screen. Brought 10 & 14 yr old sons, and their friends . Most loved it, but did hear few comments about too much action and too long to get to the point. I'm sure my son will still want to buy it on dvd because he LOVES that stuff. The whole story line was just a bit boring for me, but a few cute and funny parts. Does the small transformer really have to hump the girl's leg though? Perfect for 10 yr olds. Two gangsta transformers are funny. Love the yellow camaro! I liked first Transformers movie better. Just seemed to have a better story w/o the overkill on action scenes.

Disappointment

Disappointed. That's the only thing I can honestly say about this movie.

The first half was filled with jokes that would appeal to an audience that was anywhere from 5-12 and seemed to have little to do with Transformers at all. I felt like Jim Carey was going to make an appearance at some point and just fit in.

The second half of the movie (once the action started), the movie began to redeem itself, but it was too little, too late.

My first guess was that the production staff decided to not spend the budget necessary for any intense action sequences in the early half of the movie and instead opted to pay under-talented writers at filling enough time to justify calling this a movie.

No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie was awesome, Everyone is complaining about the language and the humping scenes, that's why they have it rated PG-13 not G , so if you take your 9 year old to a movie geared to 13 and up, you are taking a chance on content which is no more than they hear at school or on cable TV ,let's be real. My family enjoyed it thoroughly myself(Mommatron), my spouse (Daddyhide) and my 3 kids Freddiemus Prime(7), Doodiebee(4), and KKbot(12). Can't wait to purchase on DVD!

Great Movie, A Little Too Flashy

This movie was the best movie this year aside from Pixar's UP. Great action, subtle humor that kept the audience wanting to watch more, and a storyline that was good on its own. But, this movie was too flashy. Too many explosions, too many sound effects that drowned out the actors, and the love story was a little too corny. But other than that, this movie was still one of the best films this year to date.

Great Follow Up to the First Film

Revenge of the Fallen is a great movie! The battles between the robots looked absolutely stunning! I did not like the new robot twins characters. They were more annoying than funny. A few other minor details bothered me about this film, but they were quickly forgotten by the intense action sequences.

While most of the humor was, in fact, unnecessarily plugged in and pretty immature it definitely managed a few laughs. The action was spectacular and the plot was far better than I expected. Overall great movie, can't wait to see it again.

This was a good story line that leaves you feeling as though you have picked up where it left off. It had even better action and managed to give you those humorous one liners even at those more intense moments. I agree with another reviewer that there was a lot more crass language that surprised me with the PG-13 rating. They could have left it out and would not have been missed.

I knew the movie was going to be full of action, but I was surprised at the intensity of it. It was a good story line, but I felt uncomfortable with the open and casual references to particular body parts. I would not want my 12 year old or younger listening to this. That said, as an adult I did think the movie was ok . Some parts of the movie seemed to be a bit long, but I survived.

of the vulgar doggie dominence, high mother and foul language! The Autobots have virtues and abide by them, Michael Bay has insulted Mom's and Autobots on Earth. Perhaps he would like to explain why he had an Autobot stop "lubricating" an officer in the first movie but took it past tasteful in the second. I will purchase the DVD and use the immoral scenes as a lesson for my younger Transformer Fan how not to act. Finally-slow down the action-its a blur-if you put 200 million into making a movie I want to see it happen-most of the time the transformations were a mass of unidentifiable metal. I hope they do better on number three.

Shiny and Horribly Offensive

I expected a good deal going into this movie. I was a fan of the first, despite its obvious cliches and tricks, and expected the second to fix those bearable problems.
Unfortunately, Michael Bay decided it wise to expand upon them, creating a two and a half hour monstrosity of tasteless, often cheaply carnal jokes, racism, and, once again, confusing monochrome robot fights.
Sadly, not even monstrous robots fighting can make up for the entire lack of any sort of driving force in this movie.
Of course, there is a demographic for this movie, because it is in nature, shiny and large. But its alternating scenes of running, driving, humping, and running wear thin very quickly in the movie.
Needless to say, I was terribly disappointed.

In need of an edit

Watering down the excitement, and cutting the Transformers out of their own film, are numerous useless asides. There's a TON of useless humor, directed at a Jr. High crowd, it just doesn't work for adults.

Rather than build upon the strengths of the first movie, it falls into the same traps and comes out a weaker film.

Eating screentime are Skids and Muflap, two Ghetto caricatures with monkey features, constantly spouting foul, flat jokes and beating each other up like Tom and Jerry from "da hood". We've met the Jar Jar Binks of the Transformers world, thank you. The fact that these two get more screen time than Optimus, Bumblebee or any other interesting Autobot is criminal.

Good Sequel

I think this sequel was wonderful, full of action as well as comic relief. The twins (robots) and the mom were friggin' hilarious. Also i love how this movie answers so many questions and gives you insight as to why/how the bots came into contact with earth. If you're on the fence, jump over and buy your ticket to go see it.
