I brought my niece-17 and nephew-6 and we all LOVED it! It was action packed. It was funny. It had tender moments. Just what we had expected this movie to be. It was better then the first one. It is a MUST see summer flic!

Transformers

The movie moves along briskly, but nevertheless takes 21/2 hours. There is constant attraction between Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf. Ever female you see in the movie has probably been in Maxim. The lanuage in the movie appeals to a male teenager mindset. I wouldn't take my 9 year old son to see it, but my 12 year old thought it was great. Action was consistent with the cartoons in that there are thousands of missiles and machine guns firing and nobody ever gets hurt.

Let me start off by saying this could have been a great movie. The action was good and the overall story was good, although extremely predictable. The problem with the film is the large disparity between the serious approach of the story and the thoughtless ever-present juvenille humor that failed at every level. Humor has to be funny, it wasn't, it needs to be relevant, it wasn't and the timing is everything rule was clearly overlooked. Humor works well to break up the tension in an action film if it is done well, unfortunately when it isn't done well it turns a 4 star movie into a 2 star movie.

No, I do not recommend this movie.

sweet flick, the fight scene at the end needed a little more to it, but it was a great plot. take the kids, grandma, and step-brothers, everyone will love it!

Worth the 2hrs and 30min....

They say that the sequel is never better than it's original. Well Transformers 2 proves differently. This movie was action packed, with many comedic scenes as well. Actually there were times during the movie that you begin to think it was a comedy. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox light up the screen. The computer animation and graphics in this movie actually make it believable. If you liked the first Movie I highly recommend seeing the sequel.

Great Movie

As was the first installment, this one was action packed from start to finish. Loved the comedy that was included and helps keep it from being too intense. Would not recommend it for small children however as there are people dying and more swearing. It fit the movie, in my opinion but might not some others. One of the few movies I hope gets a third installment. Megan Fox was much better this time around.

Not nearly as good as the first...

My family and I were expecting a great sequel to a great movie but were saddened to see 'Revenge of the Fallen' fall short. Not for the special effects and acting but the senseless addition of excessive profanity, over the top (can't say the word in the review but the movie was full of it) connotations (far surpassing innuendos), and drug use. Why does Hollywood feel the need to ruin movies (especially ones derived from our child's toys & books) with the unnecessary addition of adult themes. The first movie was very nicely done without all that garbage and fared very well at the box office. In this movie's case, it actually over ran the plot, some nice special effects and acting. We felt like we were robbed of another terrific movie.

I will admit it’s not the most cerebral movie of all times but please, are you expecting 20 feet tall robots to be pondering about the philosophical implications of life and death or civil rights? It is a great summer movie with lots of action and comedy and some drama (come on its transformers not 7 pounds).
Critics who say it is too loud and noisy, wait are they expecting 5 tons of robot not to make a sound when they move? Under plotted? Again transformers never really had a solid plot to begin with.
Too many special effects, how else are you going to make a semi truck become a giant robot?
Sorry for the rant but It’s a great summer movie and it will entertain you (unless you are a frustrated movie maker AKA Movie Critic).

Intense!

This movie was definitely worth the price of the ticket, no matter how many times you see it, and I plan to see it several times more! Despite the almost over-the-top suggestive themes, Transformers was breath-taking and rib-cracking funny all the way through.

You know they say that sequels are not as good as the first one.I say that in the case of this one it most certainetly does.More action more drama,and more interraction with the Autobots and Decepticons.Every person that grew up with the original Transfomers should've known that Megatron would be back. If you have'nt been yet there are some scenes that should'nt have made the cut. Who in their right mind would want to see John Turtorro in a thong. THAT WAS JUST PLAIN SICK!!!!!! But I would say let your kids see Transformers the cartoon movie first to see where your coming from

Autobots are at it AGAIN!!!

First and foremost I must say that this is the movie I have been waiting two years to see and I am proud to say I was not disappointed. The storyline was excellent. I loved how ancient "Autobots" was added into the mix.

It was loud like a typical summer movie but the one thing I didn't' like as much was the unnecessary profanity. Yeah sometimes we have to say Punk a**, cause its funny. But some of the others were just over the top.

I couldnt wait to see transformers, but was a little scared that the second one might be over the top and too much. But, it wasn't. It was great and I plan on taking my kids to see it also, since my daughter is a huge fan also. The cussing was a little too much though...

This movie is mostly special effects masquerading as cinema. Most of the time the dialog is so drowned out by noise that it's impossible to understand what is happening, especially if you are unfamiliar with the franchise. The movie draws in the younger crowd but also brings so much violence and inappropriate innuendo that it's embarrassing for a good parent. It's also impossible to tell one Transformer from another when they are action engaged. There is just too much mess on the screen at a time.

i thought it was a great entertaining summer movie. the only thing i didnt care for was the cursing and a few provocative scenes. they didnt really bother me but i had my 4 year old son with me so i was alittle uncomfortable during those scenes. It was over his head but i knew what was going on. i dont see why those aspects had to be added to movie. But i still enjoyed it. And Optimus prime is the man!!!!! He kicked butt. Overall 2.5 hrs of fun.

Great Sequel

From the first scene to the last this movie was a thrill ride. Awesome special effects and great battle scenes. It had everything in it from funny moments to moments when you were ready to cry. But in the end good always conquers evil. A movie that you definitly don't want to miss a moment. I hope there is a part 3, cause to me the story is not finished.

My wife and I really love science fiction movies primarily because they are usually clean and the language is usually not all that bad, but this movie goes too far.
This moves takes a good story and infects it with way too much crude humor and inappropriate language. We left half way through the movie.
I don't know what was worse, sitting through over an hour of crude humor or seeing all of the parents who had brought children as young as 5 into this movie.

I have to say that this movie was a funtastic action flick. I really wish that IronHide and The original autobots had more screen time. I think that the mother was hilarious and John Tuturro was funny as well. I missed John Voit. This movie was worth the wait. I do have to say that I did enjoy the first transformers a bit better but I still think that this movie was great.

As loud and awesome as most of the movie is, unfortunately it's a straight up hollywood version of a Transformers story. The first Transformers movie was made for everyone and I think thats why it worked so well. It introduced Transformers to the non-fan and satisfied the fans in all aspects. Unfortunately the sequel gets mished mashed and unlike the previous movie, robots dont get much screen time as far as dialogue. The promise of more characters kept me on edge and anticipation, but when they appeared on screen, it was not worth the wait :-( Hey, then again, as a teen 20 + years ago I always wondered when a Transformers movie would come out :-) and regardless Im excited.

We loved it.!! The first one was great and this one was even better. The language is a bit rough for the younger crowd, but still an awesome movie. Good story line and enough excitement to keep you jumping for the entire two and one-half hours.
