This was a fun follow-up to the first, though not quite as good. The action was non-stop and the running time - 2.5 hours - flew-by. I took my then 8 year old to the first and felt this one had a bit more material that was inappropriate him for him (now 9). Lots of fun overall, though.

If you saw "Transformers: The Movie" and you liked it, then you definitely have to see "Revenge of the Fallen". "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" introduces a lot a new characters and it has a lot of action and unexpected situations that will keep you in shock all along!

On the second version,there was no introduction of the new autobots,describing their talents,just a name.Sideswipe had little time ,in the film.The Twin autobots couldn't carry a sentence without cursing.The ONLY female autobot was killed off in the movie. No sooner than you saw the female autobot,she was killed off .Where's the balance?.The female Deceptacon had more time,and her part could of been left out,for it didn't develop the show. Too much adult inuendos,and man-behind,and women's thongs.This is suppose to provide teen action,not NOCTURNAL Emissions for teenage boys!!!! The good part was for once Optimus Prime was a softy,he was fighting like the "young" Mike Tyson (before he started biting off ears-lol).

Exactly what you expect from the trailers... almost. Lots of stuff blows up. The storyline is irrelevant because all you really expect to see is things blowing up, and they do. I want to make sure you know that things blow up big and loud and everywhere. I expected that.
but...
I did not expect Megan Fox's Giant Balloon Lips. Wow. She looks she just got in a fight. At certain angles, her lips looked bigger than her behind. Sorry, I can't drop it very easily. Every time, I saw her close up, I imagined her saying 'blubblublublublub,' and I laughed out loud.
so...
The plot's predictable, the characters are shallow, things blow up. The incidental humor is cheap and profane. It's exactly what I planned on seeing - except for those lips.

I grew up watching the original series so I have an appreciation for the nuances of the original injected into this sequel. The matrix was a nice touch and Bumblebee kicking some tail was cool. More action and fight scenes in this one. Also more Megan Fox. Duh. Definitely worth the big screen view at least once. More comedic lines as well. Good laughs. Good action. Lots of overt innuendo. The PG-13 rating is right for this movie.

You're definately not a fan, go watch Squirmenator, or Star Smack....Transformers was awesome, and story was a lot closer to the Generation 1 we all remember. The movie was put together well for a to the wire quick production. I can't wait for the 3rd, this movie was more than it needed to be. My only complaint was reusing the contructicons after devastator was merged. Other than that 5 Stars, much better than anything that's been out in a while. Get off your soap box and go enjoy this movie!

Although there were several cool action sequences, especially toward the end, the story line was non-existent. Even the cool CG and prolific booty shots were not enough to make this a memorable sequel. I was hoping for a Terminator 2 or Aliens caliber of sequel. Alas, no rush to add this to the home collection. Entertaining? Yes, but not a movie to see more than once.

First. It's a movie based on Hasbro toys, giant robots that transform. If you expect to find deep philosophical meaning in that, you're barking up the wrong tree.
Second. It's Michael Bay. Meaning that a lot of c.r.a.p will BLOW UP. Sure, a lot of c.r.a.p blew up in the first Transformers, so in this one EVEN MORE C.R.A.P BLOWS UP. There are so many explosions that I saw people's faces melt off in the theater. Literally. So, if your face is easily melted, don't watch this movie.
Third. It's over the top, stupid as h.e.l.l, and Shia Le Beef is an aweful actor. But robots look terrific, and Megan Fox is hot, and did I mention A LOT OF C.R.A.P BLOWS UP?
It's good mindless summer fun.
P.S. Suck it, auto-censor :)

As a "senior citizen" & lover of scifi, I enjoyed the movie tremendously. Went to the midnite showing and got involved in the excitement of its release. Full of action and excitement but I still like the lst one better.

I didn't listen to reviews before I went and I'm not only saying it was AWESOME because I'm a huge fan, but it was amazingly great. Even with movie ticket prices being so high, for this movie, I'd go again...and again...and again...:0) Graphics were BEAUTIFUL. fight scenes were varied, there were more & it was AWESOME! See this, you won't be disappointed. *wait for others to come out on DVD & make up your money there*

There have been complaints about this movie being too long, but I did not notice the time. The movie, in my opinion, is better than the first. It's funnier, it's story line is captivating, and of course the visual effects are superb. Definitely a must see movie this summer! :)

After reading the loaded negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and USA Today I almost passed on the movie. Start thinking what gives with the reviews. Went to see the movie and then realized why the critcs hated it. The movie has several positive messeages that flies in the face of todays liberal mind set. The movie communicates the importance of freindship, patriotism, and sacrifice. Heroes in the movie recongnize evil when they see it. When things heat up Obama retreats into hiding and his regime just isn't up to the task. Action toward the end has pulse rising battle scenes. You will get goose bumps from Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee will touch your heart.

This is the movie to see if you want to see action, bits of humor, and innuendo.
However, I thought that the original provided all that AND a pretty good story. The makers of this film elected to up the action and the innuendo. They chose to lessen the plot.
In short the transformers are amazing to watch. It just gets old and you get for a little bit of a story to keep your mind engaged in between action sequences while you're munching on your popcorn.

This was such a great movie, and the best part is that the trailers didn't outshine it, which happens a lot these days. My children and I waited for the weekend to see it, and it was worth the wait. The whole theater clapped at the end of the movie, and I've only experienced that a few times in all the years I've gone to the movies. Great action and plot-- so good!

The Best Movie this year, last year. Funny, sad, so much action. You have to see it twice to catch all of the action. Suspensful, tear jerking Way to go Spielberg, Michael Bay and rest of the Crew. I loved this movie, better than the first one. I've only seen it once but I will definitely go see it again and next time in IMAX. It's worth every penny. It was definitely worth the 2 hrs and 30min of my time.

I as an adult thought the movie was excellent. It was action packed from start to finish, however, I thought the movie was a bit too adult for kids. What was meant to be a children's movie that could be enjoyed by the adult population turned out to be more for adults. There was more profane language and provacotive scenes, of the adult nature, than the last movie. Other than that, I loved the movie and thought it was awesome.
