Cute kids! Cute Dogs! Very thin plot line. A real slam at foster parents! And, how do you explain to your kid that closed hotels don't have utilities, especially power and water? In an operating fountain no less! And, what about breaking and entering? Plus, if these kids weren't in school or camp all summer, presumably the foster parents should have noticed they were missing. Sigh.
Anyway, the kids liked it but the adults found it a stretch. Not unpleasant, just implausible.

I really enjoyed this family movie. However, since it is pushed as family entertainment, it could have done without the language. Is it really necessary to have that in there? Also, I was disappointed that the teens kissed at the end. Let's stop pushing these kinds of things on our children. It wasn't necessary either. Otherwise cute and funny movie.

The previews didnt reel my 6 yr old or I in but end up seeing it anyways. Glad I did. Great Family movie. No bad language, cruelty, or inapporpriate clothing. Very warm hearted and funny. Great lessons and morals throughout the movie. Very touching at the end. Its a feel good movie.

I took my nine-year old and it's a relief to see a nice, clean family-oriented movie. I recommend it in that respect, but the movie itself is predictable and highly improbable. Lots of script flaws, but I went as a mother, not as a critic. It was indeed pleasant. There is a tearful scene when the siblings are torn apart, and there is an inuendo at the dog pound when a dog is taken into a separate room that it was euthanized (the worker takes in the dog and comes out with the empty choker). That will go over most kids' heads, but I knew what the empty choker meant. All in all, a good movie to take the family.

My 7 year old son enjoyed it. Enough potty jokes to keep him happy. My 4 year old lost interest after 45 minutes. Just too much talk for him. It also wasn't bad for adults. It's predictable, but it's not something that will have you looking at your watch.

This movie was the whole package. It was very funny, supsenseful, heartwarming and a tear jerker too! I loved it!!!! My daughter and I both cried, and we laughed the whole way through. Now, I love animals, so it touched me more than someone who doesn't care for animals. Either way, it wasn't just about dogs. It was about family, and the love between a sister and a brother. My son and daughter were with me, and I was hoping that they would show even more love towards each other after seeing this movie. Really makes you thankful for family, and even makes one consider and have a heart towards adoption. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time!

Our family went to see this movie and we couldn't believe how good it was. We lost our dog last fall and it was kind of hard to see this movie without thinking of how much we miss him. If you are a dog owner, then you must absolutely watch this film. It left me in tears, but at the same time had me smiling because of the love and devotion that the kids showed those dogs. They even called them their family.

My 7 year old said it's her favorite movie EVER. It was predictable but cute and heartwarming anyway. With the main characters' parents presumably dead, ant the 2 kids bouncing between foster homes, I was nervous that my daughter would ask questions about that, like if that would happen to her if we died, but she fortunately hasn't mentioned it. This is a great family movie. Never a boring moment. The dogs (and actors) all did a great job. Lots of action, humor and drama. Hard not to cry at times but of course it has a happy ending.

This was a great family movie that teaches you that family sticks together. In this day and time, it is a tough thing to do but even with all of the obstacles and hardships that they had to overcome it was very heart warming. It made you feel really good at the end. There were some sad parts that my 8 yr old daughter cried but I reassured her that it would be alright. The DOGS are really funny and they have a lot of cute dogs with alot of tricks. the Dogs are amazine. I would definitely recommend. It is a feel good, wonderful movie for all ages.

I had not realized this movie was PG when I decided to take my kids 12, 9 and 4 to see it. Towards the end, my 4 year old cried when it looked like the siblings might be separated and the dogs were sent back to the pound. I kept reassuring her it would all be okay and it was!

Simply adorable with a good storyline. I took four nine and ten year olds. They laughed, had many moments of empathy for the main characters and dogs, and were glued to the screen the entire time. Definitely worth seeing in the theater as well as on DVD when it comes out.

Excellent! A cute movie with a great story line that to me, is the first dog-themed movie I've seen that doesn't involve Disney (Eight Below, Bolt). Everyone in the theater laughed, cheered and was touched not only by the dogs in the movie, but also by the performances of the young cast. I loved Hotel For Dogs and so will you!

I took my 12 year old daughter to seethis and was surprised how enjoyable it was. We are both animal lovers but I think anyone would like it. Atth e end the whole audience clapped.
