I took my 9 and 10 year old and each had a friend with them. Much of this footage we had seen and at times it was a bit more National Geographic than Disney, but overall it was very tastefully done and worth seeing. The scene between the lions and elephants was intense and all my kids had to look away, but in the end they were actually rooting for the polar bear dad to be successful in capturing another so I could see they got the message about the circle of life. The narration and scenery alone made the movie worth seeing. Though there were a few scary parts during the movie, all the kids in my group gave it a two thumbs up review on the drive home.
Simply adorable with a good storyline. I took four nine and ten year olds. They laughed, had many moments of empathy for the main characters and dogs, and were glued to the screen the entire time. Definitely worth seeing in the theater as well as on DVD when it comes out.
I took six nine year olds to this movie and they loved it and laughed the entire time. The penguins are in charge this time and their lines are better than ever. Two very good story lines between the lion and his dad and the hippo and giraffe. Kids of all ages were in the theatre and stayed engaged the entire movie. We'll probably see a second time which we rarely do.
I took my 10 year old daughter and two of her friends to see this movie. It is an informative and touching storyline that is easily followed by the kids. The acting is superb and the subtle message is that a kid can do anything they put their mind to doing. The movie deals with stereotypes and how wrong it can be to pre-judge someone.
This is a story that appeals to all ages. The more subtle storyline provokes thought for adults and the kids love the animation and humor. Our entire family enjoyed the emotional connection between Wall-E and Eva. A very unique story and departure from movies about animal characters!
