I'm glad that the Shrek series ends with this movie and not it's inferior predecessor Shrek 3. This movie is entertaining for both kids and adults, and it's not necessary to have seen all the previous Shrek movies to enjoy this one. The plot line allow you to see not only the family man (or monster) that Shrek has evolved to, but also his roots as an ogre who enjoyed being feared and outcast. This movie feels as fresh as a newly baked Gingerbread Man.

Took my grandchildren, 9 & 11 to see this movie. As with all the previous Shreks movies, this one was thouroughly enjoyed by all of us. The 3D effect made the movie lots of fun to watch. We didn't leave until all the credits were done. They were a great way to end the movie.

Not a bad movie overall. The kids, ages 7 & 12 loved it and if your kids have seen any of the previous movies they'll have to see this one too! But, as an adult I'm glad to see it's over. Yes, it was funny but the best scenes were already shown in the previews and commercials. It has a predictable story line but the special 3-D effect does make up for it and if you stay for the closing credits - you will be entertained.

The movie had some good punch lines, some good parts, and some laughable and memorable lines. It's good if children come out talking about funny scenes, sayings, and lines. As a parent, it became slow with the same storyline. The movie had it's slow parts for sure. Luckily, it is the last of the series.

If you have young kids this is a great choice of films to take them to. Great animation and time tested lessons worth learning. As an adult you'll hear voices of familiar stars. Its a story about the way life can become taken for granted until you one day find it all gone and realize just what you've lost. Shrek only realizes what he had in a relationship after he throws it away to return to his old ways and then has to fight to win it back. Some good laughs here and there. Not the best of the series but a fine family film.

took my 4 and 5yr old boys. movie was good. they were having a hard time with the 3d glasses. they were big and every time they would try to put them back on they would get full of butter! that made it hard for them to see, so we were constantly cleaning their glasses. otherwise, overall it was a good movie

My kids (age 7 and almost 4) loved this movie in 3-D! I thought it lacked much of what the first 3 Shrek films had to offer, but it was still very good and offered a little adult humor too. Spending the time with my children was what made this movie-going experience as great as it was, even if the storyline left a bit to be desired.

I liked this movie. It wasn't the best out of all the Shreks but it was still good. I took the two little boys that I babysit as a birthday present from me and they really enjoyed it. It has some funny things catered to adults too so it wasn't like you were watching a Dora the Explorer movie. Its worth watching to me. BUT I would just go see it in a regular cinema and not 3D. 3D really didn't add anything special. Overall, the kids liked it and that's all that matters. ;)

It's possible that my expectations were a bit too high for this movie. However, given the quality of previous installments from the enterprise, I'm confident that they could have been met, or even exceeded. I found the story to be bland and predictable, the animation was above average and the 3-D effects were decent. My boys are 4 & 7 and they seemed to be underwhelmed as well. Basically, in our situation, this one could have waited for viewing on the small screen.

There were some funny, cute and romantic moments. Overall not as satisifed as I thought I should've been being that this is supposed to be the last one. I think Shrek 1,2, and 3 were as a whole better.

The movie was great, I thought they could have done more with it. It seemed like there wasn't enough content in it, therefore it was too short. However, it was a great movie, just not as great as the 1st one.

Shrek trilogy had some funny points, some that kids wouldn't understand till a certain age.
Shrek: The Final Chapter basically connects to guys who are not realizing what they have until they lose it. be careful what you wish for.
The 3D animation is vastly improved from the red/blue glasses to a thin filter glasses.
I rated it a four since the humor got really muted in this movie than the last two. but overall its a good movie and rather sweet ending to the Shrek Trilogy.
