Seen this on opening day. We have seen all of the Shrek movies and are big fans. But I would have to say I almost fell asleep in the movie theater. My 11 year old daughter said it was good but not the best. Hubby loved Rumplestiltskin, but he almost fell asleep as well. The 3D was awesome and worth the extra money we paid, had we not seen it in 3D I know I would have fallen asleep. Little children may enjoy the movie more than older ones. Hopefully this is the last one, I really would hate for the next one to be worse than this one.

overall i wasn't expecting much. i thought the roles and ideas for this franchise had been played to the fullest. but i was wrong. this movie was great. a perfect way to end the series. my only complaint: Rumpelstiltskin had already made an appearance in an earlier Shrek, and it was not the same charachter as last time. like we were supposed to have forgotten or something. other than that it was great!

Thumbs up! Fits the franchise - Shrek has a relationship problem he has to solve, he tries to solve it, he fails; finally he gains insights from others that steer him to selfless love, which ultimately lead to the resolution (and a wiser Shrek). Shrek TFC 3D uses "3D" just a little more shamelessly than Avatar, and I'm so glad - I was disappointed when nothing came at me during Avatar; happily a few times in Shrek I found myself twitching to protect myself from a threatening movie projectile. The graphics improved yet again (for example the incredible texture of Donkey's hair), and the dialogues (true to form) alternated between hilarious (usually donkey) and profound (usually Fiona). The facial expressions were awesome (I especially liked Fiona's facial expressions during the nighttime 'training' with Shrek). For faithful Shrek fans, the last 5 minutes provides an awesome fiinishing sequence and will be very satisfying. Loved it from beginning to end, first time.

Being a fan of the shrek series, this movie did not live upto my expectations. Nonetheless it was a good getaway and the characters were fun to watch. Its a 1-time watch, but don't have much expectations form the movie.

This is probably the best Shrek movie yet, perhaps tied with the first one. It has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments and also a lot of heart. It's great for kids AND adults, and you will not be disappointed!
The 3D is subtle enough to be an extra layer of immersion into the story, but it's not in-your-face and painful on the eyes.
The animation and acting is top-notch, and the effects are amazing.
Go see it!

The 3-D effects were excellent, among the best I have seen to date. There were alot of children in the audience and they all loved it. They ranged from 3 up. My daughter (9 years old) and I did too. The story line kept you interested from beginning to end. While I do not like the thought of Shrek ending, it is time to say goodbye. The story line ends the experience nicely.

This was my parents' first movie to see in 3D, and the family agreed that it was a great one to start out with.
The comedy was great! However, there are now so many "main" characters that I felt the entire movie was a little rushed with no screen time for the majority of our favorites. Other than that, it was a great way to end the Shrek series, and families and kids WILL NOT be disappointed with this movie.
Also, I would like to add that Harry Gregson-Williams (film music writer) is absolutely brilliant and did a fantastic job on this movie. :D

My 7 year old loved this movie this was her 1st 3D movie she is already asking to see toy story 3 in 3D. She kept trying to reach out her arms to touch everything that looked like it was right in front of your face. My husband and I also enjoyed this movie not the best of the series but still very well done.

This movie should win awards. My family saw it in 3-D. Great textures and lifelike animations! Terrific storyline. Characters, especially Puss and Donkey, brought all they had in this movie. The best movie out of the 4. Have a 4 and 6 yr. old who want to go see it again!

Puss-in-boots steals the show, in what's without question the weakest script of the series. But the movie's special 3D effects were outstanding, and the movie picked up steam along the way. My kids loved it, and are still talking about the day after.

I brought my four year old and three year old to see the movie and they both enjoyed it. My husband and I actually enjoyed it as well. It had a wonderful lesson in it, "Be grateful for what you have."
