This Apatow produced-movie did not have the comedic weight of "Knocked Up" and "Superbad", but it is still a funny movie. Some typical Hollywood cliches are involved and that drives me nuts in what appears to be a lack of originality. This movie was crude. People laughed out of embarrassment. I left after 30 minutes. My 18 year old daughter with me. She wanted to leave sooner. I wouldn't recommend even renting it on video. Yuck. If they are going to show a nude dude at last he should be good looking. An ugly woman would never be shown nude as many times as this guy was.

I bought the sincerity of the main character's break up and felt that his emotional struggles were well portrayed. The comedic value of the movie, however, could have worked to a much better effect had the film been cut down by about thirty minutes. It would have been nice to see more of Segal's screenplay onscreen instead of the usual showcase of the Apatow fraternity--I enjoyed most of their roles, but not all. Unnecessary scenes/characters made this film drag on a little too much for me but overall found myself laughing quite often.

If you liked Knocked up, this is a good flick for you. It is not as immature as knocked up but has unique type of humor that will make you laugh out loud. The dialogue is engaging and the plot is slightly unpredictable.

A fantastic comedy. Not only is it incredibly funny (I haven't laughed so hard at a movie in a long time) but it also is just an outright well written, well structured movie. Too many comedies use one dimensional characters and force the story along. Not this movie. All of the main characters are well written (and well acted by a fantastic cast) and the story is well paced and totally believable. I couldn't recommend this higher!
