"Shine a Light" is a good, high-voltage documentary, with great concert footage. You feel you are smack in the middle of the action. While not perfect, the film offers a remarkable close-up of one of the longest surviving Rock n' Roll bands. They may be in their mid-60's now, with lines carved deep into their faces -- from hard living, not age -- but their energy is extraordinary, especially Mick Jagger's. He's all raw s*x and his non-stop, sensuous moves are amazing and awesome. There are also excellent duet performances, with bluesman Buddy Guy, and pop singer Christina Aguilera. "Shine a Light," directed by legendary film director, Martin Scorsese, is a worthy tribute to a legendary band. Not to be missed.

Unbeliveable!! Academy Award written
all over it! I saw the Stones in the late
60's, 70' 80's & 90's. This movie @ the
Imax has "out-shone" all of those concerts!
It really is a "can't miss!"

I loved this movie. I must see it again. Mick was at his finest. I've been to several live concerts and the movie accurately portrays the concerts. I would have liked to see some footage from the early days.

I actually saw this movie twice over the weekend! It was like being front row at a concert, but the sound was much easier on the ears than being at a real concert. EXCELLENT footage of each band member, amazing song selections, wonderful entertainment. I liked the beginning with Scorcese trying his best to get the band's song list! Loved the guest singers. I didn't want it to end!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I'm a Stones fan and I couldn't wait to see this film - I was not disappointed. Great close up views of all. Early footage interviews were very funny, it would have been nice to see more of the early footage. Don't miss it! Definitely Rock and Roll at its best.

Who cares about a few lines and wrinkles? They're the Stones, not a cover band doing the Stones' music, but the real deal. It's their stuff and I loved watching them strut it.
What I didn't like was the censorship. Lyrics omitted, the F word bleeped out in all but one spot (PG-13 requirements), and for what, a stupid rating? Rock-n-roll lite?! I'd like to know whose choice it was to go PG-13 and not just give it to us straight. But man, are they as hot as ever.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very worthwhile. Had to beg my 15 year old daughter to go see it with me (told her it would be like a history lesson). She loved it. I loved it. They don't make rockers like that anymore.

Like being at a live concert, but extra close up.
The IMAX presented this movie bigger than life which makes a perfect statement for this bigger than life band that has spanned over 40 years of rock and rolling and still going strong. Amazing to say the least.
The early clips jump into now and show stark contrast of the Stones young and old.
A good mix of songs, and surprise guests added to this concert movie.
Attention to detail is shown with footage of Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese going over details.
Go see the Stones strut their stuff, even if you aren't a Stones fan, you will be entertained and come out saying WOW!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I liked the film. Got to see the Stones up close and personal. The sound was good and picture quality good. When it comes out in HI DEF DVD I will most likely buy a copy Of the DVD.I can't get over Mick still "GOT IT" at his age, I am only 50 and I would NOT make it! He has way more energy than I do! God bless him may he have many more yrs of it still!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If you are a Rolling Stones fan like I am then you won't want to miss this show. Absolutely Stones entertaining you from begining to end. Some skeptical viewers left fans and all appreciated Scorsese's talent to shoot the live performance and splic ein some early footage of the band to rev up the energy. With everyone singing and rocking out to the songs and laughing with every subliminal line spoken was a treasure. I loved the early screening so much I am about to purchase tickets online to see it on opening day 4/4/08. Enjoy!
