"Shine a Light" is a good, high-voltage documentary, with great concert footage. You feel you are smack in the middle of the action. While not perfect, the film offers a remarkable close-up of one of the longest surviving Rock n' Roll bands. They may be in their mid-60's now, with lines carved deep into their faces -- from hard living, not age -- but their energy is extraordinary, especially Mick Jagger's. He's all raw s*x and his non-stop, sensuous moves are amazing and awesome. There are also excellent duet performances, with bluesman Buddy Guy, and pop singer Christina Aguilera. "Shine a Light," directed by legendary film director, Martin Scorsese, is a worthy tribute to a legendary band. Not to be missed.
