I had high hopes and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. It's rare in American cinema to find a scary movie that isn't useless plotwise, and in stepping out of the usual myriad of plots you WILL NOT regret it.
The plot is dynamic and the twist is unexpected and bleak. This was an amazing movie for those wanting a deep message and a jump or two of surprise.

The Orphanage kept your on the edge of your seat the whole time. The angles and layouts were amazing. Best picture I've seen in a long time. No blood and guts but definitely a thriller. Its a jumpy movie like the "Sixth Sense," well worth the money!! PS. It is subtitled

I think the Orphanage, the screenplay had what it takes to be a blockbuster hit but someone dropped the ball, Juan Antonio Bayona. The failure to capture the audience by being more funny than scary at the outset was this movies demise. Alot could have been done in post to help this movie live up to its trailer.

If you enjoyed Pan's Labrinyth in the least, then this will keep you glued to your seat. Though it isnt the scariest movie in the world there are so jumpy parts and it is in spanish but worth it. The ending is absolutely great and ties the whole movie together. It will get bought on DVD.
