Not only has this been the best movie of the series so far, it is the most true to the books I've ever seen. Possible out of any book to movie adaptation. I can't even imagine how wonderful the second part will be when the action comes into full play. I am definitely seeing this movie again... and again. and again. For once, this movie made me feel how I felt reading the books and I couldn't be happier with it. I wish they had combined the parts... I would've gladly sat through even 12 hours of that if I had to.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
Well, first of all it's Harry Potter. You can expect from this film everything related to this. But you would get lots of truthful emotions, dark magic atmosphere, bits of humor and drama. It's masterpiece of directory, no doubt. David Yates made this film remarkably motional, emotional and very touching. You'll find that actors are grown up, problems got bigger than in the previous movies and it made the relationship between three main characters very tense. Jealosity of Ron, courtesy of Harry, and sadness of Hermione. And lots of other feelings. While you keep watching this movie you come to realize it's exactly the movie that should be done. It has all necessary scenes and has not others which made this film really dinamic and all essential excerpts from the book are in the movie. I think that J.K. Rowling would be proud of herself and this movie because it really gives us an image of danger and difficulty of mission Dambledore left to Harry. So, enjoy it! And I bet you like some moments or the whole movie!

True fans of the books will absolutely love this movie. I had the flu and still went only running out for 2 minutes to vomit at one point. The ending was beautiful- I cried like an infant when Dobby died.

Fantastic... wish part 2 was coming sooner... great acting on Emma Watson's pat... racy scene is in the movie so be forewarned when taking your children. It isn't really nudity but it is definitely innuendo.

This movie will not disappoint! They cut out some of the more time consuming parts from the book to move story along but very action packed. Jumped in our seats a few times, and it was REALLY SAD when Doby died - they played it out effectively. Haven't missed a premiere yet. Potter fans will love it - can not wait until part 2.

Going into this movie you already know that this is just part 1 of 2. Because of this, a lot of the first movie was build up for the last installment in the series. While this was thoroughly enjoyable, the movie has some difficulty pacing itself from the action scenes to the many camp scenes. The passing of time was not depicted very well when the trio was traveling alone which is a minor flaw, but it is there. Aside from pacing issues, and the abrupt ending, this movie hit everything else right on the mark. If I could I would have given this 4.5, but I rounded it down since the pacing would feel a bit jarring to anyone who hasn't read the books and knows what to expect next. The acting was yet again another step up, and it is great to see these actor's really grow into their roles as the series comes to a close. Even though this was mainly a build up for the epic conclusion of Harry Potter, it did so with such flavor and explosiveness that it is well worth the price to your local theater.

I was so pleased with this movie! It is the best one of the series and the most true to the book. Yes there were some parts that were tweaked for theatrical purposes but it really captured the feel of the book and I'm very very pleased with how little was changed for the movie. I loved catching little book details that weren't explained because of time in the movie but any fan of the books would catch the reference... for example Harry, Ron and Hermoine being disgusted by the tea that Lovegood made for them.
I highly recommend seeing this movie but most importantly, reading the books!

I love the Harry Potter books, and this latest movie was awesome. There were a few little things that they left out from the book that I missed, but they got everything important in the movie and did a really good job of telling the story overall. I'm going to go see it again before it leaves the theater.

I thought they did a wonderful job creating this movie. They stayed true to the book for the most part and as always it was wonderful to see that all of the actors/actresses haven't disappeared or changed. I wish they would have split every book into multiple movies and I am sad that this adventure is almost over.

The movie was true to the book. I've been disappointed with some of the movies but not this one. Great job. The characters have matured and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm even more anxious now to see the final installment if this is a precursor of what to expect in Part II. I have extremely high expectations for Part II

This movie did not disappoint. It was very closely related to the book and I loved it. I almost cried when Dobby died. I read all the books and I think that if the 2nd part is as good as this one, then Harry will definitely go out with a bank.

This movie was the best one they have made yet. It followed the book basically word for word and it was great. The visuals and area they were around were awesome. Hermione naked for a little bit doesn't hurt either. The end of this movie sets up the last one for an absolute epic movie. The battle at hogwarts is going to be unreal. The next one should be pure action and dark. This movie made me extremely excited for the last installment. Go see this movie

Genius. Our theater was having technical difficulties playing the movie and it was delayed for an hour, which was SUCK...BUT, the movie made up for that torturous hour wait. In the end, everyone was handed a free movie pass to make up for the inconvenience.

As a true fan of the books, I was very pleased with the way this film turned out in comparison to the previous four. Prior to this film, the last Harry Potter film to follow its book nearly to the letter was Chamber of Secrets (Film/Book 2). Yes, the movie wasnt nearly as dark as the book, and yes they did change several things for time and screen appeal, but overall I was happy with the way they presented the worst book in the entire series. They did a wonderful job with what they had to work with.
In my opinion, as a fan of the books, the only people who are not going to like this film are the ones who hated book seven, reguardless of its good points, or have not read the books at all. This film is a good watch, and I dont regret standing in line for 2 hrs and staying up till 4am for it. I say you will enjoy this film if you like Harry Potter, and can seperate the product from your expectations and just watch it for what it is... A good telling of a bad book.

It is very hard to take the pages of Rowling and put it on the big screen and Yates's attempt is admirable, but once again my expectations were not met. The absence of He Who Must Not Be Named was most disappointing.

Was pretty good, but it seemed to only lead into the last one. IT was like all they did this movie was run away from things. They only found one of the things they were trying to find. That means they are still 3 short. Why not put two in this movie and then the last one is the big hoora. It seemed to be a little boring at some points and then BAM! they hit you with a suprise! It was really good, but it seemed like it was just a realy really really really really really really really really really really long trailer for Part 2.
