Going into this movie you already know that this is just part 1 of 2. Because of this, a lot of the first movie was build up for the last installment in the series. While this was thoroughly enjoyable, the movie has some difficulty pacing itself from the action scenes to the many camp scenes. The passing of time was not depicted very well when the trio was traveling alone which is a minor flaw, but it is there. Aside from pacing issues, and the abrupt ending, this movie hit everything else right on the mark. If I could I would have given this 4.5, but I rounded it down since the pacing would feel a bit jarring to anyone who hasn't read the books and knows what to expect next. The acting was yet again another step up, and it is great to see these actor's really grow into their roles as the series comes to a close. Even though this was mainly a build up for the epic conclusion of Harry Potter, it did so with such flavor and explosiveness that it is well worth the price to your local theater.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
