Few musicals are produced now for some reason, but this is one worth seeing. Some sterling "Broadway Stage" type performances. Everyone that is a lead in the movie/play has their moments of glory where their character comes to life. A few laughs here and there, even a moist eye at times, and overall a timeless story. Kudos to the actors, the producers and the background people for making this a pleasurable experience. Will I see it again soon? I'm not certain right now, but it will go into my DVD collection. If you can't think of a reason to take your wife or girlfriend, then go to hear the music with a great sound system and make them happy.

I have seen this movie twice-took friends to see it yesterday--friends with varied tastes in theater and they loved it! I will see it again and can't wait for the DVD to come out. I too have seen Mamma Mia on Broadway and loved it there. The movie was almost just as good as in person except for the audience. When you see a musical like this live on Broadway, at the end, the cast has everyone up and singing and dancing. I sang low to the whole movie, but the audience was just too quiet at the end when the cast practically invites you to participate. I guess maybe it's because I live in Phoenix.

My daughter and I went to see this movie yesterday. I was surprised she really wanted to see this sort of movie. To my surprise, this movie was entertainment all the way! I heard about the broadway show, but never was interested in seeing it until I saw the movie and now I am SOLD. Great cast and Meryl Streep never looked so good! Pierce's acting good, but shouldn't take singing on as his career, but have heard worse in my day. A MUST SEE MOVIE!

I took my 2 grand children to see this wonderful movie, they are both girls, ages 6 and 11. All of us cried, laughed, and sang along to the music, even though the youngest child did not know the music, she felt it. Meryl Streep used to be a great actress, her performance in this was not just weak, it was feeble and not worthy of her. In fact, so were the silly performances of everyone over age 40 in that film (maybe not Baranski). Buy the ABBA music and skip this overacted and undersung disappointment. Terrible.

Mamma Mia! is so much fun! I have seen the play and think the movie is even better because of the beautiful scenery. I saw the regular version first and loved it and went back with a group of moms and daughters for the sing-a-long version. The moms all sat together and the kids all sat together. We had a blast!! We even got up and danced at the end. Can't wait to go again!!!!

This is without question, the best movie that I have seen in the last few years. Happy, upbeat, fun, emotional, splendid! I will see this movie again before it leaves the theatres. See the title... it says it all! The lead girl is amazing... the other characters are fun. Poor Pierce can't sing that well... but good for him for doing it anyway

Saw the movie the 1st week it was out and wanted to sing along then but was worried other might be bothered- IT was great they came out with the Sing a long-took my Neice and we sang together- what a great experience!! cant wait until it comes out on DVD!

I am an avid theater goer and I wasn't sure how the movie would compare. But to my surprise the movie was fantastic. I highly recommend the film it was fast moving, funny and my sides were hurting from laughing so much.
