I didn't think this movie came out so great, but for once it doesn't appear to be the fault of the actors or directors, but clearly the fault of an awful script. The story doesn't make much sense at many points, and several elements are just left hanging around with no explanation or resolution. Two scenes involving Shia Leboeuf seemed extremely out of place for an Indy movie, where he displays a sort of super human ability to communicate with animals for no apparent reason. Overall, I wish I could "unsee" it, it feels as though they destroyed a little piece of my childhood. Save your money and see it on DVD (and this is coming from a big fan of the original 3)

They tried to hard to make this movie funny. The previous movies had naturally funny clips, but it was forced in this one. If you are planning on seeing it wait till it comes out on DVD.

A long overdue return to Indian jones! While some say the stunts and action are unbelieveable, what action movie isn't? This is just like the other Indys, action with a wry sense of humor. Just a touch too long and maybe one less action scene is all I would do to change it. Love Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett!

There are a lot of things I liked about this film.
-First: I like the casting of Jim Broadbent. -Second: It is refreshing to see Indiana have a more mature love interest rather than a young ingenue. Daring in a blockbuster. -Third: It is consistant with the other films and tv series.

This was clearly the weakest of the 4 movies in the Indiana Jones series, but was still full of adventure, action and fun. The storyline was a bit cheesey at times, and waivers a bit from the prior themes. No need for the blatant death scenes and the few language moments. Was surprised they kept them in the final edit. Special effects were great. Just go to have a good time and you will not be disappointed. If you are going to see the movie as a critic, stay home and rent the first three.

My sister and Ii have been waiting for this movie since it was first advertized. It did not dissapoint!! I really enjoyed the time period because that was familiar to both of us, and reminded us of things when we were younger! Great action and costumes; it kept us engaged the entire movie. I was thrilled that a good movie was finally coming out. OH WELL. I guess I'll just continue to wait. The story was too ridiculous. The acting was awful at the beginning but picked up as the movie went on. It was almost as if the director had his lackey do it.

Took my 13-year-old daughter with me to see the movie and we both really enjoyed it a lot!! Story moves quickly, lots of action as expected, some inside jokes for those of us who have seen the previous three, great chemistry between the actors, love the ending. The first Indy is still my fave, though. So, maybe some parts aren't that "real-life" but it IS a fantasy/action/adventure - so just go watch and enjoy!

I saw this movie with my 8yr old son. While some parts were a little scary for him we both really enjoyed the movie. It kept moving and there wasnt a dull moment. Same humor as other Indy movies :) As mentioned before, you might want to look away for the part with the Ants. I did, and blocked my sons eyes ;)

This movie is pure escapist fun, perfect for a hot summer day. As long as you don't think too hard about it, the movie hangs together. There were three different stories going on at the same time, but not always weighted evenly. The adventure storyline was straight out of the genre the Indiana Jones franchise has been successfully portraying for the past 20 years, and the action/adventure level was certainly what we've come to expect from Spielburg and Lucas. The underlying commentary on the Cold War and the FBI vs. Commies mentality was pretty heavy-handed and not particularly focused. Then there was the long-running love/hate relationship with an old flame and the entanglements that relationship produced. The ending was non-committal on whether we will see another entry in this long-running movie series, though. I'm not sure that Shia LaBeouf is the right man for the job, but he did a credible job and kind of 'grew' into the role by the end of the movie.

For those who expected realism, come on, what were you thinking? This was action entertainment, it wasn't supposed to be believeable. I loved every minute of the movie. For me, seeing a guy who is just a few years younger starring in an action movie was a kick. Harrison Ford is an ongoing legend as is Indiana Jones. The young man, Shia La Beouf will be a huge star some day. I loved his appearance on Saturday Night Live where he demonstrated his versatility.

As a big Indiana Jones fan I expected something grand and over-the-top to bring back the franchise, but was sadly disappointed. This movie just didn't have the same adventurous allure and excitement of the classics and was largely predictable with corny jokes and not so hot special effects. The whole thing was just kind of dry and flat. This was definitely a borderline kids movie that didn't do its predecessors any justice. They really dropped the ball on this one.

In line with other Indy movies, the stunts were a little extreme, the premise was interesting and the action was good. The ending; however, was a little too far fetched for an Indy movie. If you don't mind start and stop action and a bit of an odd ending then enjoy.

My parents, my almost 9 year old son, my husband and I went to see this one afternoon. I remember seeing the first one as a preteen/teen and LOVING it. I was concerned about taking my son since it is a PG13 but it was fine for him and he really loved it. My parents really enjoyed it too (being from the era the movie was set in) Harrison Ford was great and I enjoyed the stunts. Story was a little out there ,but really, the story line is buried under the action anyway. It is a fun movie to see.

This movie was a great movie for leaving reality at the door. Everyone should remember this is Indiana Jones and not everything is believeable, but most people love the characters of these series of movies. The storyline was pretty good it was stretched a little too far toward the end, but the last scene was a great hint of what is to possibly to come for the future of the adventures of Indie. Just remember when going to this movie let this movie take you on a ride you'll enjoy it. Most of the jokes fall flat and the action scenes seem forced; there is almost no plot; and the theme that the quest for knowledge is a dangerous thing is a bad one in a world desperate for knowledge and wisdom. But Indy, Mutt and Marion have a wild ride through the story, such as it is, and the film is enjoyable if you accept its comic-book level of sophistication. The reunion of Indy and Marion is a nice touch, showing that 56-year-old woman with a little padding on her can make a comeback just as well as a 65-year-old man who obviously works really hard at staying in shape. And one can only wonder if Shia LaBeouf is projected as the next action hero. All in all, "Crystal Skull" ranks third in the Indy series, after "Raiders" and "Last Crusade" but ahead of the tiresome and unconvincing "Temple of Doom." Not a bad way to end the series.

I loved this movie. Great action, romance! This installment of Indiana Jones didn't disappoint me. The critics may hate it, but I go to the movies to be entertained not to pick apart plot lines and other nonsense. Crystal Skulls is definitely an entertaining movie and Harrison Ford still has it!

It is a great movie to go to if you have been stressed all week...or all year. It's what movies were originally meant for....to take the working masses out of their cubicles and have fun! I liked the setting as, yes, I too could go down nostalgia lane with the greasers and preppies etc. I had to explain to my son's 9 year old friend what "I like Ike" meant. But that is why I loved it. It contributed to a lift in spirits for a couple of days. That's what pure entertainment does.

Awesome special effects, great action (the fight in the Amazon on the Army vehicles was simply awesome), but the story overall was a little disappointing.

Lots of interesting reactions. In my humble opinion, this is a very much appreciated IJ movie. I agree much of the story line is far fetched and unbelievable. But hey, it's Professor Henry Jones, Jr., everything he does is unbelievable. I was very much entertained and hope to see if a few more times to find out what Lucas and Speilberg put in the movie that I missed. If I want historic accuracy, I read the tabloids! Just kidding. Great movie and very entertaining with super special effects. The heck with the snakes....get those ants away from me! And now the stage is set for IJ5 with Harrison as the real Old Man!

The movie brought back the same kind of comic adventure as the original series without missing the beat. Enjoyed most of characters with the nostalgic feeling for the period of time. It was fun.

I felt like a kid again! I saw all three of the previous Indy movies as a kid and young teen. I loved them then, and I love them now. I brought my two kids (4 and 7) to see them and they loved them. I felt like a kid seeing the movie and the kids enjoy it. I grew up loving Indy and Star Wars, and my kids apparenly dig them too. GREAT movie. Thumbs up to Lucas and Spielberg!
