This one is probably the best one I have ever seen and I have honestly seen all 6 movies. It was honestly sad when dumbledor died. But it was awesome. My mother (who has not read the book yet) even agrees with me.

I thought the movie was good, better than "Goblet of Fire" but not as good as "Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Order of the Phoenix." David Yates did an excellent job directing, as he did with Order, but the story was a bit too scattered. First, they did not explain a few very key plot points. I went with 3 people who have not read the books, and they were asking questions at the end of the movie on 2 particular points that were unexplained. Also, they was a bit too much of the "snogging" (as Hermione puts it.) There are some very funny scenes and the effects are amazing as always. I would recommend seeing it, but it's just not one of the best.

A little darker than previous installments, which follows the complete storyline. Actors continue to improve with each release of another adventure. Special effects...phenomenal!

I can't believe the wrtiter endorsed this film , her book was overlooked, and much of the story was muddled or lost. I loved every book and every movie in this series until now! I as an older Harry Potter fan wanted more and was left feeling cheated. Thank goodness I had read the book and was not a new fan, those who have not read the books will wonder what Harry Potter's fans are thinking! All of the other movies made me want to go back and read the books not this one! We are nearing the end of our ride on this magical journey and I want to go out with a bang, book 7 was great! and all I can say is that they better not screw up the movie even if they have to make three movies to finish it. GGRRRRRR!!!

Although it was full of comedy and the romance. The ending was so disappointing. For the readers, we all knew the ending was going to be a bummer. But the fact the ending was so built up, the lack of action at the end (a huge part of the book) was a major let down. I love both the books and the movie, but this movie was so inaccurate from the book it was very annoying!

This particular HP movie really began to pull everything together. We are starting to see how much these characters have grown and how string their love and friendship is. You could say this one is a little on the romantic oushy goushy side. But it is showing us that side of the characters. This is the intmate Harry Potter, and in my opinion I would say it is the funniest one yet!

I was very disappointed in the anti-climatic ending. I was hoping for a wand waving battle, but that just didn't happen. I would not have minded staying for another half hour or so for an epic ending battle.
I felt a few scenes were not needed since they were not in the book. I wish that we could see more Harry and Ginny and more character development in general.
Dumbledore's acting was the best it has been, but Daniel Radcliff still cannot convey the raw emotion, or any emotion for that matter. Ron and Hermione did very well and I wish I had seen more Bellatrix.
Better than most HP movies, but fell flat in the end.

Our theater must have been filled with HP fans because everyone was so mesmerized at times you could hear a pin drop; lots of nice little touches were included, and the humorous moments were great after the darkness of OOTP; the main thing I would do differently is add about 15 minutes to include the climactic battle scene at the end, with some awesome special effects - agree that length is always an issue but this was what many of us were waiting for; it was a missed opportunity and should have been included; even so, I enjoyed HBP a lot!

1. There was hardly any lead-in to the seventh book. and the lead-in that there was will see ramifications in the 7th and 8th movies. Like Molly giving them a hard time about leaving, it is not under dumbledore's orders according to the movie, so therefore how are they to just explain away the fact that they aren't going to school. Harry was also not given ANY information on what the next horcrux's could possibly be.
3. Seriously where was the mourning for dumbledore? He was, I believe, one of the most beloved characters in HP.ug
4. the one thing I cannot get over is the fact that there was no battle at Hogwarts between the Death Eaters and the Order, it was the climax of the book and it was left out! Why?

If you are expecting the next HP movie experience to be exciting, don't waste your time. I was very disappointed after all the hype about this movie--the previews showed all the action in the entire 2 1/2 hours--the rest of the movie was drivel, as the Brits say. Half the dialogue couldn't be made out and what dialogue could be, was details to set up the next series of movies to come. I felt like I was sitting through a seminar. I actually looked at my watch several times. Whether you read the books or not, the movie needs to keep the audience engaged. They could have cut out half of it. The acting has never been that great with the HP series but they could at least keep us wanting more with action and intrigue!

This is not the best of the HP series. While the movie is done well from a production standpoint, there are too many pieces missing. This book could easily be a 2-part movie. While the movie seemed slow in a few parts, the 2.5 hr movie passed all too quickly...I wanted more and cannot wait for the next HP movie.

A long time ago I realized that a book and a film are two different things. Having listened to the book recently (Jim Dale is great!!), I was aware of the gaps in the film. I mostly enjoyed the film, but I missed some things very much. Especially this: Harry was under his invisibility cloak and paralyzed in the scene in the tower when Dumbledore is threatened by Malfoy. Since this didn't happen in the film, Harry looked like more of a wimp than he is. Also, I missed the warmth of his experience at the Burrow, too. And the subplot of George's engagement. But OK. Question: how do you suppose they make Harry as tall as Hermione, since Radcliffe is shorter?

I enjoyed this movie. While not as complete as the book (c'mon what are you expecting? They have to pack the whole plot in 3 hours!) it carried its own weight and flow as a movie, much better than previous films.
I was less than satisfied though. The Death Eaters seem like mischievous chumps, not the true terrors they are. The Imperius Curse on Katie Bell left me wanting more. And what the heck happened to the epic fight scene at the end?! I was most excited for the ending and it was so subdued! But overall a great job. The focus on Draco in the beginning was subtle and consistent (if you don't read the book you're not surprised). Harry on the luck potion was excellent. You really saw DanRad shine.

There was such excitement and anticipation! I always go into watching these movies with the understanding that they can't be better than the book.... If haven't read the book, then this movie is AWESOME because you don't know what is missing! :) If' you've read the book, you'll see that there are some very important details that have been left out of the movie. The relationships that are developing are not delved into enough! There is also less action in this movie than in the previous 'chapters'. The version focuses more on the relationships that are developing, however the depth of those relationships are not shown. The cast is amazing and so funny! Snape is great as always and Luna is a blast!

They had to really crunch it in with the storyline and I would have been happier with another 30 mins added to the film time, but I realize by today's standards the film is pretty long as it is.
It naturally can't get into the detail of the book, however the actors on this film always deliver an A+ performance in my opinion and Jim Broadbent as Slughorn was a great new addition to the cast, I will miss Dumbledore though. I loved the humor intertwined with the drama and the art direction was beautiful. The time just flew by and I look forward to seeing it in IMAX at the end of the month.

Probably the worst adaptation with the best effects. They went on to the point of boredom on the unimportant, and made Cliffs Notes of the key story elements. No time for chemistry to develop between Harry and Ginny, pieces that should be suspenseful just tossed in viewers faces and changes that will only complicate the major mythology as we move forward into the final books. I'm saddened for what the last two movies will bring.

I am a huge HP book fan and understand that it is impossible to cram all the content from a 700 page book into a two-hour movie. I am OK with changing around some things in the interest of time, plot-condensing, and money, as long as the core of the book is still there. Overall, it told the story well, except for the Weasley house Christmas-time scene. NONE of that was in the book. I know the movies being based on the novels gives them license to change things, but to me that scene dishonored JK Rowling's hard work a little. The acting was fantastic and the special effects were awesome, so all in all - a good movie.
