There is so much in this movie that was good, I don't want to give anything away. Everyone gives a top-notch performance, The Joker is one of the most memorable villians I have ever seen. The next Batman movie's villian is set-up as well. Just go see it!!

As a movie lover, I know from experience that sequels can be the kiss of death for a franchise. Thankfully, that wasn't the case for "The Dark Knight." True, many people went to see the movie because of the buzz around Heath Ledger's performance, and it was buzz that did not disappoint. He was phenomenal in bringing a dimension to the movie Jack Nicholson couldn't a few decades ago. I am certainly curious as to who Heath's competition will be for Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards. It's truly a shame that Heath won't be around for another sequel, and I hope Christopher Nolan and his brother don't even entertain the idea of thinking that someone else can fill the Joker's shoes. What made this movie so wonderful, however, is the fact that the story, characters, action, and actors were all solid. Everything made sense and I never lost focus on what the movie was trying to tell (sneeze! Pirates of the Caribbean 3). I would recommend this movie to anyone who can handle it. The action was thrilling and well worth the 2 hour, 30 minute running time. It was so captivating, there were several people who literally watched until the credits stopped rolling.

That seems to be the dilema thoughout the movie. The internal stuggle Bruce has over the effect his character (batman) is having on the people of Gotham. When it becomes personal (with help from the Joker) Bruce is challenged like never before. Even darker than the last, Batman Begins and every bit as entertaining.

This movie was everything I expected and more. Full of action. I have not seen many Heath Ledger movies in the past, but I firmly believe no one could have done as well a job as he did in playing the Joker.

Absolutely incredible. Visually stunning. The Dark Knight was dark, intelligent and intense. It is a worthy addition to the Batman story, especially if you forget the disposable movies before Batman Begins.

Unbelievable. Christian Bale outdoes himself as Gotham's prince/Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger's Joker is one of the best big screen characters of the past 25 years- Jack Nicholson should probably just go hide in a closet when people start comparing the two antagonists. This recent Batman series easily accounts for two of the best superhero movies ever made, and I look forward to seeing more from Christopher Nolan! Good luck to him finding an actor to take the place of Ledger, cause the Joker will most certainly return- and they will be some BIG purple shoes to fill.

Excellent movie! Great cast, good story line, and impressive special effects. Christian Bale is good, but Heath Ledger is very convincing as a schitzo bad guy the truly makes you feel the inner workings of a very sick mind. I'm going to see it again in IMAX.

Rarely do I see a movie that encompasses everything I enjoy about film and little of what I don't. This movie is thought provoking, action packed and clever without relying too heavily on either of the three. I NEVER go see a movie twice while its in theaters but for this movie I will have to make an exception!

This is probably one of the best movies to come out in years. Heath Ledgers portrayal of "The Joker"deserves at least an Oscar Nomination if not an Oscar. It's regrettable that he's passed and won't be able to reap the rewards.

This movie seemed to have it all! Action, strong plotlines, and great character acting. The effects were also pretty believable. At some points, it began to feel long, but the subsequent action scenes made up for it. I could watch this one again and again. It's worth seeing on the big screen, and it's hands-down the best movie I've seen come out of Hollywood for a long time.

This movie was great. It was full of unexpected plot twists. Most movies based on super heroes follow the same tried and true formulas. This one does not. Heath Ledger is as good a villian as I have ever seen before in any movie. Right up there with Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs. Christian Bale IS Batman. No actor will be able to touch him when it comes to this role now. He owns it.
