What can I say that hasnt already been said about this excellent movie? Its great...period. While Bale did a fantastic job of playing wayne/batman, no one will remember his part after seeing the Joker. Ledger is simply amazing with his interpretation.

This was definitely worth seeing in theaters.
After reading that it would be 2 hours and 30 minutes, I said to myself, "eh..that's not that long."
But to my surprise, it definitely was long! There was nonstop action..98% of the time.
The depth of the movie was great. I hate movies that leave you hanging.
There were 2 or 3 parts of this movie where I'm sure the movie could have ended, but thankfully it didn't!
The movie went on and on and on..I was so happy! The length is just right, and there's non-stop action.

I was not sure what to expect after all of the hype. I walked in and was simply blown away by how outstanding this film was.
Heath Ledger really does give an amazing and oscar worthy performance regardless of his death being a factor.

Interesting film with great performance by Heath Ledger. Disappointingly slow at some points. Did not like the female lead. There was no chemistry between her and any of the characters. Film was a bit too long, and may have been better as two stories; one with the joker, the second with Two Face. Enjoyed Christian Bale as Batman.

Quite possibly. The only other one that's even close is the first Tim Burton film, and Heath Ledger's Joker is so vastly superior to Jack Nicholson's that it's not even funny (so to speak). Forget the special effects, the stunts, the spectacle of it all -- what sets this movie apart is the superior writing, the phenomenal performance of Ledger and the brilliant portrayal of the psychic bond between the "heroic" Batman and the "villainous" Joker. The Nolan Bros. deserve huge kudos for creating a script that combines action and philosophy in such a satisfying combination, and for their willingness to present such a dark thriller to audiences who usually demand lighter fare in their comic book adaptions. Oh yeah... and Maggie Gyllenhall kicks Katie Holmes' butt.

Well written story that provides in depth character development for all the actors. You won't fall asleep watching this movie! The characters have become more real and brooding. I'm so glad the writers have gotten rid of the cartoonish shallow characters that once defined the superhero genre in the movies. good job.

Great sequel to the Batman Begins. No upsets in this movie, meets all high expectations. Begins with great actions mid point of the movie has great action and the end has great action. Batman has never been seen like this and no villian has been true to his name like this. The plot is awsome and not kid like. They made this movie worth topping the highest weekend box office in years. If your not a Batman comic fan or even seen any of the other Batman films this movie still keeps you in the loop of the Dark Knight.

This movie was more than an action hero movie it was about how one becomes a villian and how one tries to be a hero but finds out he is not much different than the villian he is fighting. The twist of the story is how someone so good when his love is taken away can turn to the dark side. Heath Ledger brought the Joker to life in a way no previous actor has. You understood why the joker did what he did and he exposed batman in ways you never thought possible. Christian Bale was perfect as Batman. The cast was outstanding. This is not for young children or any adult afraid of the dark.

Batman has over thrown spiderman. Heath Ledger puts on the performance of his life. He gives the Joker a more darker, eviler, and eccentric personality than the previous Jokers. The Dark Knight is action packed with incredible special effects. It will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more and wishing it would never end. The Dark Knight has a big twist that only true batman fans could see coming. The all star cast puts on an unreal performance, a performance that previous batmans could not match up to. This is a classic have to see movie.

This was by far the best Batman movie to date. It was dark yet humorous at times and left you wanting more despite the long running time. I only wish that Heath Ledger could reprise his role in another film. He was awe-inspiring in his portrayal of the Joker and his performance can never be reproduced. I predict this movie to win many Academy Awards including Best Supporting Actor. I recommend to all adults but would refrain from taking children to see it. Thanks to Christopher Nolan for creating a riveting and sure-to-be award-winning film.

I am really not like a comic book movie kind of girl. But there is no way that you can go into this movie and come out disappointed it was absolutely amazing. Ledgers performance was incredible and really made the movie what it is. I wouldn't have picked this movie out if Cosmo hadn't told me to take my boyfriend to it but I am soo glad they did. I loved every bit of this movie and I can guarentee those who aren't really into this story line should go see it anyway.

Batman Begins was an amazing addition to a long line of Batman films, and when the Dark Knight was first announced I was skeptical as to if it would live up to the expectations previously set. The movie starts off at an alarmingly fast pace, giving us no wait in seeing Gotham's new villain; the Joker. This fast pace is kept up throughout the movie making the 2 hours and 30 minutes pass very quickly, well at least until the last 20 minutes of the movie. The movie contains an intense amount of action and thrills, including an awful amount very clever cinematography. I truly believe that this movie has set the bar for not only future movies in the series, but all comic based movies as well. However amazing this movie may be I would not rate it as five stars as the ending suddenly approaches and really lets the viewer down. I feel the director/writers tried to cram in too much into the last 20 minutes and would have been a much better movie if even the last 15 minutes had been removed and adding to the next movie. Having said that, I would still go an see the Dark Knight again as it is a wonderful movie.

This was an absolutely AWESOME movie! Not really a dull moment in the movie. Christian Bale makes a great Batman, and Heath Ledger is a marvelous Joker. Can easily see how he got so swept up in the character as he puts his all in it!

This movie was really great. It wasn't too gory, so my children still enjoyed the movie also. The joker played by Heath Ledger was thought provoking great role! I really enjoyed this movie and wouldn't mind seeing it a few more times.

Amazing film...completely enthralled by the film...the action, FX, plausible storyline, the Joker's well-played unpredictability. They almost could have made 2 films out of this..I'm impressed that the writers/director avoided that greed, but instead gave us everything they could.

This one was by far the best. Of course, with all the latest & greatest in special effects, each new movie in any series is going to be...; but, with this one, Christian Bale and especially Heath Ledger finally brought the characters and their troubled souls to life. Weird referring to a man dressed as a bat, but he was finally deep, dark, and sexy! And with all the toys and gadgets in this version, it was a rockin' good time! Go see it just for fun! (The only neg. in this was the disappointing choice in Maggie Gyllenhall - ugh.)
