This movie was the best movie I have seen in a long time. I will definitely go and see this movie again... Nolan did a terrific job with both ledger and bale as mortal enemies and the movie was exciting the whole way through.. Great Movie!!!!

I saw The Dark Knight at the midnight showing. I have to say that it was truly a piece of artwork. No one was miscast, and everyone's part in the movie was as important as everyone else's. Heath Ledger's Joker is truly terrifying every time he arrives on screen. Christian Bale's tormented turn as Bruce Wayne/Batman is both tragic and inspiring. I was most glad, though, to see that Gary Oldman as Lt. Jim Gordon is phenomenal, especially since he was in the background for much of Batman Begins. It is worth however much you need to pay to buy tickets. I'd suggest to see it in theatres.

This movie has a lot of hype, but guess what people, it actually delivers. And we are talking almost 3 hours w. previews and there wasn't a moment were it was slow. Heath Ledgers delivery of the joker is brilliant and heart breaking. Although this isn't your typical Academy Award nominated movie his performance should not be over looked. If I had to say one thing negative it would be that Maggie Gyllenhaal does not make a good femme fatal...it's not that she’s ugly but she's not very likable. Other than that FIVE STARS!

Dark, grim and action packed, the Dark Knight is almost a psychological thriller as we watch the Joker attempt to bring Gotham to its knees. The Batman must overcome his failings as a hero and rise to the occasion, as all heroes must, and out maneuver the insidious Joker or all of Gotham will fall. The summer’s must see movie.

I can't poke a hole in this movie anywhere. It's worth whatever your theatres charge for a ticket. It's worth it twice. Our entertainment industry lost something huge when Heath Ledger died; his performance as the Joker is the best of his life.

The best batman since the first one. Christian Bale is a reluctant but determined hero. Harvey Dent's character makes you root so hard for him that it breaks your heart to see him fall at the end. Heath Ledger created a Joker as good as any villian I've seen. He isn't wounded just insane, so amazingly so you can't take your eyes off him. A fabulous story weaves a wide tale but keeps it's focus. Brilliant CG and great directing. It is long at 2 and 1/2 hours but I can't think of a single thing you could cut and I certainly wouldn't want to . Sit back and enjoy the ride.

This has been the first movie in a while that delivers what it should. However I believe that I speak for everyone that has seen this movie, when I say that Heath Ledger's performance was Perfect. It's a real dissapointment that he passed away, the role of the worst Villan ever (The Joker) will never be played to perfection like it was played at The Dark Knight. Let's thank Heath for a performance well done, I hope he rests in peace knowing he has left us with an great epic movie.

When you come out the The Dark Knight this weekend, you will be surrounded by other people coming out of the theater and they are all going to be voicing their opinions. Usually, the first thing you will hear is some huge comic fan telling you why this movie sucked and how it differed from the book. Then you'll hear a mom or a girlfriend talking about the parts they thought were cheesy or a guy talking about how the whole movie was awesome EXCEPT this one part (like for instance, the musical interlude in Spiderman 3). Well, when you come out of The Dark Knight, you won't be hearing any of those things. I'm not the type to drop a lot of hyperbole, but I will go on record saying that this will be known as the greatest Batman movie of all time, the highest grossing movie of all time, and barring possibly Watchmen, the greatest superhero movie of all time. And that's really all you need to hear. Go to the pros if you want to read about Heath Ledgers haunting portrayal of the man who laughs, or Aaron Eckharts bullishly hopeful DA Dent. From top to bottom, the cast never disappoints. Go see the movie. Next up for me: IMAX.

They hype about Heath Ledger's performance is well placed....a real scene-stealer. Most intense movie I have seen in a while. There were lots of kids in the theater but they were all spellbound 5 minutes into the film. There is something about Nolan's film that makes you astutely aware of everything that is going on, one such device is the lack of music during action sequences. These scenes were carried by the sound effects which should also be Oscar material. Lastly, it's always great to see Chicago being used on the big screen. Go see! Go see!

The only ill feelings I have from this movie center around the shame that Heath Ledger is no longer with us, and that a great talent has been lost to the field.
This movie was everything that was promised. It was exceptionally well done, intense, dark and a rewarding experience.

The Dark Knight was indeed the thrilling movie that the trailers played it out to be. There were no dull moments within this movie and I would reccommend it to anyone. However, there are some pretty graphic scenes so if a parent is taking a child I would just warn your children.

The Dark Knight surpassed all my expectations. Every actor portrayed their character perfectly... the insecurities of Bruce Wayne/ Batman, the insanity of the Joker, the rage of Harvey Dent/ Two Face. Solid performances by Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Gary Oldman lend tremendous support to the main character developments, and lend strength to an already strong story.
Aaron Eckhart develops Harvey Dent/ Two Face perfectly, and Heath Ledger displays the true insanity of the Joker, something no actor has done to date. Mr. Ledger's performance exceeds the hype.
I have been a fan of the Batman genre for 30 years, and The Dark Knight is the best movie so far.

Awesome movie with outstanding acting by Heath Ledger as the Joker. Even if he didn't die, he would have been nominated for an Oscar. The music is awesome.
I was really glad that blood & gore was not a prominent feature of this movie. Suitable for children 9 and up, as long as they can handle 2 1/2 hours of it.
I would own this one when it comes out on DVD.
