Alright this was definitely the best movie i've seen so far this year and probably will see all year. If the intense action isn't enough to get you then the epic moral fight for whats right just might. This is absolutely the best movie this year!

I don't know what to say? I saw The Dark Knight last night and was truly blown away. I was blown away by EVERYONES performance, not only Heath Legders. Aaron Eckhart turned out to be an amazing character and I agree when they say he's one to watch. His transformation is predictable yet not over or under preformed. Christian Bale delivered Batman and added more depth and more anguish into his role. The chemistry between Batman and Joker is unforgettable, they "need each other." Christopher Nolan gives us what we want and more, visually stunning and an artistic masterpiece. Heath Ledger as the Joker, who could've done it better? I tell you no one. No one will be able to replace him if they decide to bring the Joker back for the another Batman installment. Ledger's performance is haunting and memorable, the best yet.
As for the movie and plot itself, I didn't know what to expect. I went in wanting a lot of action, and great preformances. I knew there had to be a battle royale between Batman and Joker and thats about it, and also they were going to introduce Harvey Two-Face. I wasn't disapointed at all, but there were a few parts of it that went by fast and I couldn't quite grasp what had happened. [I won't say what just in case, but you'll know the parts when you see it.] So maybe story wise it wasn't as strong as Batman Begins had delievered, but it was still amazing and unforgettable, and will be in the Top Slot in my personal favorite movies of all time.

Every actor/actress's performance was incredible. Ledger was insane as the Joker. Nobody better could've played the part. The movie was non-stop action with so many amazing chase and fight sequences that you can't possibly lose interest. Every minute of The Dark Knight was perfectly directed and acted.

Absolutely amazing. I went into this film with extremely high expectations. I've loved Christopher Nolan's work in the past and Batman Begins was the standard for my favorite comic book movie. Dark Knight met and then exceeded everything I hoped it would be. Ledger's performance stands out as nothing short of incredible and the other actors should not be forgotten in their performances as well. Bale is playing the role he was always meant to and his tortured anguish at seeing the people he loves in trouble is difficult to watch. The script and plotline are perfect. Congratulations Mr. Nolan. I loved every second of it. You know something has to be right about a 2 1/2 hour movie when at the end you are begging it not to be over.

Great film, straight from the beginning. A lot of action right away, draws you in, and keeps you there the whole time. Great suspense throughout, wondering you will be saved, wondering who will be killed next, wondering when the Joker is gonna say "why so scared" again :) Awesome plot, great scenes, great movie all around. I know, I know, its The Dark Knight, but in all honesty its the Joker that steals the show. The Joker was played better then any villian I have ever seen in any show, movie, or book. Not to say Batman wasnt played great as well. Quite the opposite actually, both roles together mixed in like a great smoothie with a little touch of drama and a big touch of kick but action (not to mention a protien boost). Best movie in a long time. Must see.

The best movie I have ever seen based on a comic book. The plot was excellent and really got you involved in the characters and story. The Joker is awesome - very evil. I saw the movie at the midnight premiere and never got tired during the movie because it was so good. I would not recommend this movie for children under 12 due to its' intensity and the complicated plot.

The movie was excellent with performances and script that were both excellent and of the highest caliber. Nolan and Bale should work together as often as possible if not simply make a marriage of their careers.
The only thing that the Dark Knight suffers from is a modern movie trend to make every film that is released into an epic. Epic stories are often well received by audiences, and I can understan their excitement regarding these films. The issue becomes that two and a half hours of a movie can be difficult to sit through for some, and although I enjoyed every minute, it would be difficult for me to justify watching the movie again. It would be a stretch to say that I won't see a third installment, but I am most certainly forced to go to a much earlier showing in order to keep my job.

If there were more stars to check off, I would have checked them. Saw this film @ midnight and if you're a fan of the Batman franchise, you MUST see this film. I know there's a lot of talk about Ledger's portrayal of the Joker being Oscar worthy and after you see this film, you'll understand why. Christopher Nolan's manner in which he portrays the Dark Knight is spot on. Although it's based on a comic book character, he truly brings the characters to life and the way he tells the story in this and Batman Begins are the best of all. This one being on another level still. My only disappointment is in the actress that was chosen to play Rachel. I just didn't care for her performance. Not that I'm comparing it to others, but I just didn't care for her. GO SEE THIS FILM!

The acting in this movie is in a league of its own. Heath Ledger's Joker was the best supporting role I have ever seen. Bale was excellent as Batman again, and Eckhart did a tremendous job portraying hope but leaving you with the scense that there was evil to him as Harvey Dent/ Two Face.
The visual effects were dazzling. Nothing was too over the top such as in 'The Matrix'. The action scenes were perfectly timed to carry the story along.
This movie will go down as one of the best of the 2000's if not of all time.

I was amazed by batman begins and thought that was the best batman movie yet, but then I saw the Dark Knight and was blown away! The Dark Knight was amazing! Heath's performance was unbelievable; Oscar worthy. By far the best movie of the year.

I never thought anyone could play the joker better than Jack. Heath took the character to a whole new level and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen. The movie never had a dull moment and was full of suprises. In my opinion this movie is one of the top 10 best ever. It was so good it made my nature rise.

What needs to be said about this movie besides excellant! Christophar Nolan knows how to make a good movie, and this is a very good movie.
Without giving anything away, the acting, direction, and cinematography are top notch. Bale, ledger, and eckhart are all very good in their respective roles. Two-face is beyond anything you could ever imagine, unbelievable special effects.
I really want to check out the IMAX version of the movie, the scope of the scenes that were filmed in IMAX are huge just on a regular screen. I can only imagine what they look like on IMAX.
The only thing left to talk about is when and who for Batman 3? but i won't go into that on here because it would involve spoiling the movie.

With a few exceptions, the trilogies I've seen have had a great first movie, let down with the second, and redeemed themselves (or tried to) with the third. Think about it- you can probably name at least one you've seen; maybe the majority of the second movie was great but the ending was a complete let down. Well, I only have one word to describe the ending of this AMAZING movie. "Chills". As in, I got them. BIG time.
When I got to the theatre, I'd been hoping it would be as amazing as it should, but mentally preparing for it sucking (hope for the best, prepare for the worst, you know?). An hour and a half in, I looked at my watch and could not believe that It had already been so long- It felt like hardly anything. By the end of the movie, I DID, however, believe it was at least two and a half hours (over three, with the previews and credits).
Within those three hours, there were a couple of fake-me-out endings, a couple of fantastic plot twists, and a multitude of fantastic performances.
This is definitely one of the best comic book movies I have ever ever seen; the writing was great, the cinematography was great, even the company was- though you might not be so lucky in the theater you're in.
If you only see a handful of movies this summer (who only ever sees one?), this one will take your breath away and leave you wanting to see it again. So, I guess, maybe it WILL be the only movie you see- 10 times.

This movie was an epic that definitely had deeper tones than your usual comic book movie. Themes about morality and social psychology were all over this film. However, although it does come very close, and some would think that it should be rated R. The point that the movie was trying to make would have been better said had the movie crossed the line and never looked back. The way that this movie constantly crosses the line and then jumps back dulls the impact of it's point. All in all this movie is definitely a must see for those old enough to handle it.
