Be prepared for a long movie. That being said, even though it was a solid 2.5 hours, it was well composed. This batman series really takes Batman to the next level.
Heath Ledger does an amazing job. So amazing in fact that the movie left me a little disturbed. Not a movie to bring the kids to.
In addition to the action there are a lot of messages and moral implications being presented.

while i am older than most of the people who went to the midnight showing (they were mostly teens) hardly any of them remember the jack nicholson joker. so they think heath is the one and only joker. they probably only think christian bale (who plays creepy, dark and tormented very well, just like heath) as the only batman. heath, he was good as his own joker, but i can now see why he killed himself. this movie was dark and kinda sad, i realize that some heros need to be tortured but for god's sake everyone in this movie is tormented in some way except for alfred....i really thought part way through the movie they would kill him too. it was good movie. as for myself i would rather watch the first batman with jack n. and michael keaton.

I followed ths movie since the virall marketing began an it was more than i possibly imagined. Ledger's Joker was outstanding. Eckhart's two face was better than i imagined. Bale did a perfect job as usual as the dark night. two thumbs way up!

Great movie. Loved the effects, plot was good. A bit long at 2 1/2 hours, but it was all good. Heath Ledger was great as the Joker (I would not go so far to say Oscar caliber, but a great performance). Christian Bale gives it his all as Batman and is H-O-T. I would not recommend to younger children, Two-Face is quite gross and will scare them.

Ever since I saw 'Batman Begins', I have been eagerly anticipating this sequel, and it was completely worth the wait. It's an incredibly intelligent and suspenseful movie, and I constantly found myself saying to myself 'No way!' I can already say with confidence that this is the best movie of the summer.

I am astounded to see what a perfectly crafted film this is. All the expected characters with unexpected depth and complexity. Not to mention killer special effects. It sets the bar very high for its genre. We will see if others in the future can match it. This was an outstanding performance for Heath Ledger. A great experience that will haunt you and leave you wanting more.

I thought this was by far the best Batman movie done to date. All the actors I thought made their characters real for the viewers. Also the special effects were great. I loved the semi flip.

I watched this on the IMAX theater with Digital projection technology and it had the BEST loseless audio I heard in a long time. The movie is long and I regret bringing my 4 year old kid because he could not sit still! The movie itself was great though I don't really enjoy the batman lame fighting scences.

Hard to believe, we actually left in the middle of the movie. We did not like it at all due to the extreme amount of violence. I took my two grandchildren because they love Batman, but there was little action with the good Batman character and so much violence that we were just so frustrated that we left. Yes, I know it was rated PG-13, but even for that how much violence can one take? How sad that you can't go see a Batman movie with your grandchildren any more! Guess I will just stay in Mayberry where I belong!

What can I say about it... they made it everything you hoped it would be and more. Ledger in his last role captured every nuance of a crazed man hell bent on destroying a city's mind. I never had cared too much for him before but I can definitely respect the mans talent after seeing this. Bale, Freeman, and Caine were all on their game to keep your eyes fixed on the screen waiting for a symphony of explosions and excitement. This is not a kids movie, and those of you who bring your young ones will probably be having a conversation about alot of things they saw in it. But as a developed mature thrill ride it succeeds full force

Heath Ledger was amazing. The movie was creepy and at the same time hilarious. The Spirit of batman was captured perfectly. Cristian Bale is a much better Bruce Wayne than in the first movie.

This movie was way more than I expected. Christain Bale was a fantastic Batman, Aaron Eckhart did an outstanding job in this movie as well. the best was of all was Heath Ledger as The Joker. I loved the origianl Joker however Ledger played the best of his career. He was absolutly the best character in this film. I am planning on seeing this movie over and over and over again.
