This Batman was so action packed I couldn't keep off the edge of my seat. The story line transition flowed very well though the movie. The special FX were just crazy to say the least. Heath Ledger was the absolute perfect person to play this part. He actually felt like a crazy and psychotic person should be. Overall this was a great movie and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this series.

Heath Ledger was great......scary but funny all at the same time. The entire cast of this movie did an great job and commited to their character. I also liked this film because they used my city (Chicago) and it mad the PERFECT Goth.City!!!!!

I really enjoyed the movie, though it's definitely not a "feel good" movie. Also went just a tad long (2 and half hours). It was interesting seeing the struggle of good and evil in each of the main characters...Though provoking.

the chatter about heath ledger being nominated for an oscar is worth all the buzz. his portrayal of the joker was truly great. whomever wrote his dialogue gets some kudos as well.

The Dark knight succeed's in the hype that has been brought to it, the batman character pertrayed by Christian Bale is excellent and the performance of the Joker by the late Heath Ledger is a Oscar performance all day long. It is ashame that he is dead now and cannot receive the honor that he so deserves for the acting he has given the movie. He portrays the Joker how it should have always been crazy and out of control. The movie is just great and I cannot wait until the next one.

I went to this film expecting it to be good because of all the buzz of Heath's performance but I got wayyyy more than I expected if that is at all possible.
So say that Heath Ledger's performance was memorable is a gross understatement. He got so far into this charcacter that I almost forgot who I was looking at. He gave the Joker a face, very dark and uncaring about ANYTHING even himself which was truly tragic to see on screen. The places that he must have had to go for inspiration....just wow.
Now the writing, the screenplay was EXCELLENT very good well rounded story that was never slow at all. Batman was also conflicted in that he really wants to hang up the suit but he doesn't know how, that's where Harvey comes in.
Maggie Gylennhal as Rachel was kinda ehhhhh but I didn't like Katie Holmes in the previous movie either but no big deal. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were excellent as usual.
Just go SEE it you will not be disappointed in the least.

I have to say I was mesmerized for every minute of this movie. Lots of startling scenes,and I gripped my boyfriend's arm for most of the movie. Very intense,and Heath Ledger channeled a genuinely damaged mental patient/lunatic for his Joker portrayal. He was also darkly funny, and stole every scene he was in without going over the top. The cynical in the audience may still have to "suspend their disbelief." That's all I'm gonna say about that: embrace the movie for what it is, and it's an awesome ride.

Christopher Nolan's undertaking of one of DC's darkest and most disturbed heroes is beautifully orchestrated. Heath Ledger truly fulfills the hype created upon his death of this being an Oscar worthy performance; his mannerisms and voice inflexions/tones are superbly executed. The new gadgets and suit of the Batman are refreshing and well worked within the film. A beautiful expression of the city known as Gotham.

The Dark Night was a terrific movie experience . Heath Ledger's performance was incredible. The performance surpassed that of Hannibal Lechter. The film incorporated the level of suspense seen in movies of decades ago with terrific special effects and an excellent story line. The later is particularly notable in that the Batman - Joker story is neither novel nor inherently interesting.

The Dark Knight was a fantastic follow-up to Batman Begins and unlike most sequels it was far from disappointing.
Christopher Nolan has truly captured the original dark imagery found in the early Batman comics.
Heath Ledger was incredible as the Joker. This was one of the strongest acting performances I have ever seen in this genre.
If I were forced to offer one criticism it would be concerning the romantic love triangle sub-plot. It appeared to be more of an after thought.

I really enjoyed this movie and would very much have enjoyed seeing Heath Ledger portray the Joker in a future sequel. If they do another one with the Joker I hope they find someone that is comparable in the portrayal. My only complaint is that they introduced Two-Face and killed him off in the same movie.

This movie was a thrill ride from start to finish, and it did not seem like it was 2.5 hours. Everyone was perfectly cast, and you forgot that this was a movie while watching it. Best example of this was Heath Ledger as the Joker. There was lots of action, but the plot was also well developed, and it was interesting to see the evolution of the heroes and villains. There were laughs as well as thrills, and this movie is not to be missed.

Best batman movie yet, gets you interested in the movie right off the get go. I loved Jack Nicholson as the joker, but I never said to myself that I found him scary or thought he was crazy much like I found myself saying that about Ledger's Joker performance which was excellent. Great movie, 9 bucks to see the dark knight on the big screen, you can't beat it.

This was by far the best of the Batman movies and everyone in it, from Christian Bale to Heath Ledger to Aaron Eckhart did a phenomenal job at really pulling you into this movie. The Joker is one of the most psychopathic characters since Hannibal Lecter and there is no question that Heath deserved the attention his portrayal was garnering. Maggie was a great substitute for Katie Holmes, very elegant and played well into Batman's playboy lifestyle, which Christian Bale does so well with. A must see for anyone!
