Heath Ledger is AMAZING as the Joker! I had nightmares about him last night! The action is non-stop, the plot is great, and the special effects are out of this world. The only thing I didn't like was Christian Bale's voice when he was Batman...he tried too hard to sound like a tough guy , but wound up sounding like a 70 year old smoker.

I've seen it twice now, and watching the Joker's scenes was simply riviting. The second time, I would watch the audience and the they were all rivited to the screen and the just taken in like I was. The scene(s) during his capture and incarceration will go down as among the best performances of all time. I am hearing best supporting actor. I wonder why can he be best actor? I would go see this movie just on the premise of watching Heath Ledger, although the rest of the movie was of a calibur you don't see much of anymore.

The sequel is even more intense than the first movie. While all the characters were outstanding, Heath Ledger's Joker made this movie. AS much as I loved this film I wouldn't recommend it for very young children-very dark themes. Ocsar is written al lover this film.

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Heath Ledger did an amazing job portraying the Joker. Very dark and some what demented. I would not be surprised if he gets an oscar nomination out of this!!!! 10 stars a must for everyone to see

This is probably the best movie I've seen in a VERY long time. I loved iron man. The hulk was great. This movie beat them out hands down. Everybody in the film gave a great performance, and the story was top notch. I'm going to see it again.

This batman had all the right actors, especially Heath Ledger. People will be amazed by his performance and there will be oscar buzz. The Dark Night is much more dark and twisted than the first with a fine line between the good and bad guys. This movie is a MUST SEE!

After having read reviews prior to watching The Dark Knight, I have to say I was not disappointed. I found it to be an intense psychological thriller with action rather than the other way around. Heath Ledger's performance is nothing short of spectacular. I can't wait to go see it again.

People are gonna hear a lot about this movie, and most of it is right, but there are some great moments and some flaws.
If you like a Batman movie that is high on drama, with great performances from Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, and Gary Oldman...this is the movie for you.
If you like a Batman movie that is light on Batman, then this is the movie for you. In fact, Batman is like 4th Banana in this movie. He doesn't have one defining moment in the movie (Bruce Wayne gets one though), and it really detracts from an otherwise good movie.
Is The Dark Knight the apex of drama in comic book adaptations. Yes. Is it the best comic book adaptation ever. No. But, this is the best movie of the summer, and everyone should give it a chance at the movie theatre.

Thanks to a goof on the part of my mate, I didn't get to see this in iMax but I was astounded nonetheless. I don't think that they could have done a better job on this. My only annoyance was Christian Bale's 'batman voice' sounded just as silly as it did in the previous film. It doesn't distract overly much however. Heath Ledger's performance lived up to the hype and I believe he blew away any of the previous performances as the Joker. He was as creepy and true to the comic form as anyone could possibly have done. This is certainly a must see this season. I doubt that anyone will produce a better film this year.

This is, by far, the best Batman/Joker match-up I've seen in years. Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Harvey Dent/Two Face is right on the money. Christian Bale has definately become one of my favorite actors. I don't think I have the words to describe Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker. I forgot that it was Heath behind the make-up. He is so believable with his crazy mannerisms & psychopathic babbling. He should most definately receive an Oscar nom for this one. Too bad it's post-humourously.

No long, drawn-out review needed here. The Dark Knight totally lives up to the hype. Heath Ledger is exquisite in his portrayal of the Joker. Jack Nicholson's Caesar Romero-esque take on the villian was superb but Ledger takes it to a whole new and sinister level. Christian Bale is, again, the perfect embodiment of what Batman and Bruce Wayne represent and Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Harvey Dent/Two Face is a refreshing surprise. This whole film is just put together too well.......great story, great casting, great direction........go out and see it. You will NOT be disappointed.

My husband and I took two 13 year old boys to this movie -- what a mistake!! It was way to violent and disturbing. They crossed the line when they had the good guy gone bad holding a gun to a small child. We were all disturbed and wished we had not seen the movie. I do agree that Heath Ledger was amazing -- but an amazing, disturbing psychopath.

This is the first batman I have EVER seen! The special effects were great and the acting phenomonal! I understood the plot very well, and like I stated earlier I have NEVER seen batman before... even the cheesy one with "KAPOW" and "BAM" instead of actual violence... hahaha! It had suttle comedy, ALOT of action, Romance, violence, and some horror! It was like all the movie genres mixed together! All in all a wonderful movie that will be remembered in all it's glory!
