Some of the effects were cool. But that's about it.
They should've gotten a bunch of no-name actors and spent the savings working on the storyline (e.g., drop the whole "divorced family" device, the conspiracy theorist, amongst other things).
Not as "hip-in-a-slacker-sorta-way" as I was hoping.
Kinda had a "Liar Liar" redemption feel to it. The quickness of his turnaround seemed a bit disingenuous.
The special effects and camera work were really cool, but lacked a visceral engagement. CG needs to keep polishing it up to take the "animation" sheen off of it.
