Very good movie. I gave it 4 stars because it won't give you an option for 4 1/2. Loved the story. Heath Ledger mad a great Joker. Overall it was a very good movie and I would recomend it to anyone. My youngest son was so into it he even forgot to eat his candy. What else can be said?

The Dark Knight is not for little kids, but a great one for 13 and up! There was so much going on, I'd love to see it again to capture what I missed. I enjoyed this movie very much - from the great looking Batman to the crazy Joker, and even the scenes where I quickly covered my eyes.

I strongly recommend going to see this movie. If you want to experience a lot of exposions, intense action sequences, and a surprise twist near the end of the movie, this is the movie to see.

This movie was practically flawless. It had plot surprises, a satisfying story arc, beautiul cinematography, a dramatic score, incredible stunts, and of course, superb acting (definitely on the part of Heath Ledger as the Joker). One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

I'm not one for action movies, more of a story driven viewer and this movie surpassed my expectations. My friends wanted to see it so I went along and now I can't wait to see it again! Outstanding acting by all the cast members made this both disturbing and intense. The action scenes were the icing on the cake...what a vision the Director has!

Even though The Dark Knight is two and a half hours long, it's worth it and never stops the action and great characterization and, careful people, makes you think.

I would recommend this movie very highly. Heath Ledger plays the Joker in this movie with an outstanding performance. His best in his career. The rest of the cast were great also. I would see this movie again with no hesitation. My daughter saw it the night before and went with me to see it again she liked it so much.

we were looking forward to seeing the dark knight, we went yesterday and weren't disappointed. the dark knight was absolutely entertaining and there were quite a few stunts that was off the hook(spectular and brillant)!!!
alot has been said about the actor who played the joker, mr. ledger and he was good however i don't believe that christian bale,morgan freeman, michael caine and gary oldman are getting the praise due them. had they not been sooo good the 1st x i would not have went this time.

Liked it overall. A bit too long (got hung up in political conversations - which I liked up to a point) Heath Ledger was incredible - definitely the best thing about the movie - batman seemed almost like an after thought - I guess that was part of the problem I had with the movie, The joker was a very well drawn character, and there wasn't much room for any one else. It's like if you went to a birthday party for a friend and a celebrity showed up and all anybody could concentrate on was the celebrity, and then after the birthday party you realize that you didn't even get to talk to your friend who's birthday it was.
The other thing, and this is kind of a big thing, is that now that "Gotham" is Chicago, all I could see was chicago. Also when batman enters the scene, the backdrop is so familiar and realistic that it just looks slightly comical to see a guy with a mask and cape. It's like if you were walking down michigan ave and you saw a guy in a super hero suit run by you'd have to laugh. I think that the characters need the gotham from batman begins or else they stick out - didn't work at all.
I was actually a little disappointed in the film b/c it had been built up so much. I would've given it 3.5 stars if that had been an option. It's worth it just to see heath ledger's joker though.

I thought Leger's portrayal of the Joker was incredible. The special effects in the movie were great. Coming from Chicago I recognized Lower Wacker drive, and some of the other buildings.
I would see this movie again even though it was a little long.

I don't advise taking small children to see this one; the themes are adult and some of the imagery is disturbing.

I loved this movie. It was full of action and intensity. It had humorous scenes and dialogue which offered a break from the intensity of the overall movie. The acting by Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing, as he really became The Joker. It was definitely darker than I expected.

Unbelievable that this movie got a PG rating.
Gratuitous and viciously violent, all explosions and fire. It goes the way of most sequels, got the hype and anticipation generated by excellent film number one, with Bale as the most believable Batman ever, a descent in schlock.

Overall C+. Christian Bale - B (I don't like his "I just threw up in the back of my throat" Batman voice). Heath Ledger A+ (The hospital segment is brilliant!). Aaron Eckhart - B- (Great as Harvey Dent / Terrible as Two-Face). They should have cut out 15min. I am a film editor and they could have easily cut this down to tighter 2hr 15min and not compromised the film in any way. If I was ranking this in the Batman films I would put it 3rd. Keep an open mind while viewing and don't let all the hype sway your feelings towards it. Ledger is brilliant! As for the rest of the film, it's good/average. But that's just my opinion. :) -pern

Didn't feel like 2-1/2 hours.
Ledger was awesome and definately deserves Oscar attention.
Chris Nolan has given us the best adaptation of the Batman character to date.
Aaron Eckhart plays boths sides of Two-Face to perfection and Maggie Gyllenhall is more beliveable as a DA than Katie Holmes.
Christian Bale delivers again as the only actor casted thus far who portrays the duality of both Batman and Bruce Wayne.
Nolan's movies are darker than the Burton or Schmaker versions and this is much more than a comic book story, but a study into the extreme parts of the human psyche.
I plan on seein it again in the Imax as some of the scenes were shot exclusively for that medium. A+

This movie had it all . . . phenomenal cast of actors, great script, terrific story telling by Christopher Nolan! A highly suspenseful movie that passes by too quickly . . . I left the theater wanting more. Heath Ledger's performance was astoundingly amazing to watch, Christian Bale put forth the best batman yet, Aaron Eckhart held his own as the DA Dent, Gary Oldman once again adds his quality performance to this film! I cannot express in words how much I enjoyed this film, it is a must see!!!!

My husband and I did not watch any trailers for this film, trailers give away too much these days! We had no idea Maggie G had replaced Katie, altho we did know Katie wasn't coming back. Maggie played a much better Rachel then katie ever could have. We also didn't know two-face/Harvey Dent was to be portrayed, that was a pleasant surprise! Aaron Eckhart did a wonderful job. Morgan Freeman was a big fav returning as Lucius, Freeman is a great actor. Christian Bale plays the Dark Knight side of Batman so well. My husband and I are big fans of the 90's Batman movies, esp with Michael Keaton; this series takes away nothing from those and gives us a much more versatile portrayal of these characters!
Finally, Heath Ledger, WOW- we were speechless; from 10 Things I Hate About You (which was actually not bad for a teen flick)... but to THIS. :O
