A great final performance. Didn't think that Jack Nicholsons performance of the Joker could be done better but Ledger did it. The Joker made this movie. I could have cared less what Batman was up to.

Keith Ledger's performance was incredible. I would never have imagined such intensity of characterization in this type of role after seeing him in "Patriot" and "Brokeback Mountain". It is still hard to process the loss of such a profound talent .

I'm really not sure how to tell you how great this movie was to watch. I loved Batam Begins and this sequel is even better than expected. I'm not one to listen to or take hype too seriously, but this summer blockbuster truly delivers on action, drama, suspense, cinematography, musical score... everything. I was laughing out loud and tearing up and biting my nails throughout. While the action sequences and chase scenes were full of cool stunts, I never felt like any part was OVER-done. And yes, Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker IS REALLY THAT GOOD. Go see it now.

In my opinion the Dark Knight delivers! It has great action, acting and is entertaining. Bale does a great job in continuing his portrayal of Batman. Ledger did an Awesome job The movie seems to flow very well and has very few lulls in the action.

I will start with the fact that I am not fond of Batman or the DC universe. That being said, this was probably the best movie I have seen this year. The performances were great and the plot was done in a way that would appeal to those who like intellectual movies and those who like nothing but action. My only complaint was the length of the movie. I feel like the last 30 minutes could have been shaved off and have the same effect.

Best Batman I've seen. I had a feeling Ledger would do a good job as Joker, but I never thought he'd be that impressive. Just an amazing performance. I think it's safe to say he went out on top. The only bad thing is we don't get to see him in another performance.
Bale, once again, proves he is the real Batman/Bruce Wayne. The only thing that kills me, just like in Batman begins, he sounds to much like a wrestler when wearing the cape. Still a great performance.
Eckhart was great as Dent/Two Face. I only wished we had got to see more of Two Face. Maybe they'll bring him?
Overall, the movie was outstanding. The storyline was amazing. The casting was perfect. Each actor fit they're role. This movie is a must see. I plan on seeing it a few more times.

While there were some part of the Gotham City setup that I was not the biggest fan of (the modern generic feel of the city, not the classic 40's/50's feel of the comics, the oftentimes boring performance of maggie gyllenhall), this is an excellent movie, and quite possibly the best big-screen adaptation of a comic or graphic novel. Every moment of this movie is exhilarating and gets you so pumped up. The action and emotions are believable, and Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is hauntingly superb. AMAZING!!! a must-see!

I thought that it was a very good movie, but I thought that it was exceptionally dark. I thought that the PG-13 Rating was bogus. It should have been rated R, not just for the violence or language, or even the graphics used, but for the thought and plot behind the whole movie.

An amazing epic story with great acting all around. Heath Ledger is just as incredible as everyone said. He's creepy, unpredictable, funny, and frightening. The special effects and stunts are great too. Lots of clever plot twists. Even at two and a half hours, I still wanted more. Best movie of the year so far.

This was an excellent film from start to finish. It is a little long. I have to say that Christian Bale is the best Batman we have ever seen, and the late Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was absolutely phenomenal. He really made you think he was a sadistic, homicidal maniac. I hate to say that Jack Nicholson's performance of the Joker has been topped.
The action is non stop and all of it is good. The special effects were fantastic.
The only spoiler I will give you is that many people die in this film.
You must stop what you are doing and go now to a theater near you to see this. It is the best film of the summer.

Definitely my favorite Batman movie so far. (I still love Batman Returns!) This is what it would be like if Batman were a REAL super hero. - Dark, mysterious, and HUMAN. If Heath Ledger does get nominated for and then win an academy award for this performance then hollywood does not know excellence...People in our theatre clapped at scenes of dipicted violence that should not have drawn applause, however the audience was fully engrossed in Ledgers performance and bought into what he was giving which was a top notch performance!

This movie was nothing short of amazing. You were captivated in your seat the entire time...and it wasn't too short or too long. Heath Ledger was mesmerizing as Joker...he definitely deserves an award for this. At one point in the movie I thought "this guy is really crazy", I don't know where he found the inspiration for his role. Christian Bale delivered an excellent performance as usual, and the rest of the cast was wonderful. Definitely worth all the hype, I just wish Ledger was around to see it. I can't wait to see it again.

This is one of the best movie's I have seen in a long time. Christian Bale is by far the best actor to portray Batman. Heath Ledger blows away Jack Nicholson's joker from the other Batman movies. It's a shame we won't be able to see more of Heath. The movie was a thrill ride to the end. The plot thickened more until the end. I loved this movie! I can't wait to see the next movie!!
