All I am going to say is that I have been a Batman fanatic since I was about 7 years old. I have been there for the hype, and I have been there for the lows. I collect the books and I have seen the flicks; some good, some bad. And with that being said, I have never seen anything like The Dark Knight. I never thought anyone could capture the essence of what Batman is since the late greats Bill Finger and Bob Kane. The horror of the Joker, the indecisiveness and passion of The Batman left me in awe. This flick has it all and more. The cast was extraordinary and the story was breathtaking. Chris Nolan is a master of his craft and blew me away with his beautiful vision of the character I love. Don't go to this flick because of the hype: go to it for an experience. I saw the movie yesterday and I am still speechless. This is a movie for the ages. That's all.

this film is incredible, easily the best comic book film Ive ever scene , the cinematography is poetry, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger play off each other so incredibly well, with a plethora of pronominal supporting actors and a skillfully written script, the dark knight dose not fail to please.

I found The Dark Knight to be very entertaining and action packed from start to finish. There were only a few things I found that bothered me.
First was the circular panning. Once was fine but when they kept going, it was almost dizzying. I'm sure that was to convey the point - the whole movie pace was dizzying. But when you're sitting in the seats, it's almost nauseating.
The second thing that bothered me were the number of parents who brought little kids into this movie. I don't consider this to be a kids movie for anyone under, say... 10. It's dark. It's violent. And if kids didn't fear clowns before, they should now. I did appreciate that they did keep the gore to a minimum. You didn't see the results of shootings or stabbings, which is how this movie pulled off its rating for certain.
As to the performences, I think the cast really had their A game on. If you're looking for an action packed blockbuster, this is it. Just hire a sitter for the little ones.

I usually fall asleep if the movie gets to be dragging in the middle. Worse is if I slept from the start to finish. But this particular one had me anticipating the next scene until the end. Thats how an action adventure movie is suppose to be. Not dull and not boring. People were clapping and howling in the theater. That in itself means it is a good movie.

Not only is it the best Batman movie yet, but finally someone who knows how to direct a descent film and follow the true roots of a comic book based character. Christian is the perfect fit as our hero and Heath by far surpassed everyone's expectations. I won't know what to think if a 3rd installment is made and the Joker returns but no Heath:( He MADE the movie.

Story, action, acting, visual...everything was excellent. I heard a lot of Batman fanatics tell me how great it was and I was skeptical, because they are going to love it, because it's Batman. But I was blown away. The story was just amazing!

This was a really great movie, best action flick i've seen since Transformers last year. I'm not big on buying DVD's but this one is getting added to the collection. Heath Ledger as the joker was incredible. This is the must see movie of the year.

Dark Night was an incredible, fast paced movie. It was exploding with action that leaves your adrenaline and mind pumping for hours after it ends.
The Plot was full of twists and right when you think it will end, another villain or dilemma is introduced. The creators pulled out all the stops and there has never been a better villain in any movie I have ever seen then Heath Ledger's Joker. It was incredible!

We really enjoyed the fact that the movie kept us on the edge of our seats. We are still talking about it after two days. The late Heath Ledger did an excellent job as the joker. Make sure you have a good potty break before the movie. You will not want to miss any of the 2 1/2 hours.

I've always been a fan of Batman bomics, but until these two most recent movies, there've never been any Batman movies that could be taken seriously as films. Christian Bale returns as Bruce Wayne/Batman in "Dark Knight," and did a stunning job, as did Heath Ledger as The Joker.
In fact, it was in no small part thanks to the Joker character that this was the best comic book movie ever made. If this performance doesn't win Best Performance at the Oscars, the award is forever cheapened.
In the film, Gotham City is given a new hero in DA Harvey Dent, whilst a lunatic bent on causing chaos and anarchy earns the trust of Gotham's crime ring by promising to kill Batman.
The movie is extremely well-written, with a plot that can be enjoyed by both the deepest thinkers and the causual action movie lovers. The stuntwork and special effects are sick, and the acting is sublime.
This movie, in my opinion, is taking comic book movies and making them fair-game for the rest of movies. This could go toe to toe with any other drama or action movie and come out unscathed.
The only drawback would be among fans of the original Batman with Adam West, who might share the Joker's sentiments: "Why So Serious?"

This is more than just a comic book adaptation. It takes this genre to a whole new level. This is a dead serious movie. Dark and intense. I would not recommend it for young children. Heath Ledger is pure evil. When Batman fights he looks like he is doing everything in his power to cripple the bad guys. I Will be seeing this again.

I went into this movie with high expectations and it did not disappoint me. I was prepared to be entertained but I was completely blown away. Heath Ledger never broke character for one moment. I believed he was The Joker! But I have to say that of all the characters. This movie was seamless. I've read reviews that said Christian Bale was boring but I disagree. He was spot on perfect in his portrayal as Batman. Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart were perfect in their roles as were Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. There was not one performance that was lacking.

Why the bad guy - he isn't. His big sin - phone snooping- oh but for all of Gotham's good. Forced plot. The Joker- I'm Chaos" Bin Laden thing was a bit overplayed. Probably would have liked it with less expectation heading in. The pop corn mixed with raisionettes - now that was some good stuff.
