I thought the movie was over at the two hour point. When I realized there was still more to go, I held on tight to my seat and hoped my nerves would make it through the rest of the rollercoaster. A very intense, highly emotional ride!

With "The Dark Knight" out and breaking box office numbers. There is alot reason to dub this a success. First lets look at the special effects. Nothing was done over the top, with one execption and that was near the end of the movie, with a device batman had. I feel that it was explained well for the idea of the mythos for comic book fans, but hardly nessesary to have in the movie itself, and I felt that it took away from the story.
The acting couldn't have been much better everyone from big roles like Bale or the late Ledger, to the little roles like the scarecrow wannabe at the begining gave a convincing performance.
The story left things open for a third, I guess. However, this doesn't seem to need another movie it they don't want to. If they do then it wil be hard to achive what they have accomplished and could spoil a good thing.
This is a must see for anyone who wants to see a good action movie, or a great drama.

This movie had more action than Batman Begins, but the plot was a little weak and their was not enough editing. Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker was very good, and so was Christian Bale's performance. But this movie lacked some of the heart of Batman Begins. I can only give it four stars.

Though this movie was long, the constant flow of the story line doesn't make you look at your watch, and you just forget about the time!
It was intense and got better and better. The character development was great. Everyone is raving about Heath Ledger's preformance, and believe it was amazing! But let's not forget about Christian Bale!

First, I think the two Christian Bale Batman movies are the only Batman movies worth watching.
Second, I think "Batman Begins" was a better movie, although I enjoyed this one. All of the actors were excellent. I must say, though, that although Heath Ledger was excellent, the movie belongs to Christian Bale. The noble hero role can be a hard one to make interesting - Bale is outstanding. THE perfect Batman. Aaron Eckhart was excellent as well.
I love nice, long sprawling movies but, in spite of great plot twists, toward the end this one began feeling too long to me. It didn't help that I had a very hard time figuring out what was going on in the climactic action sequence.
By their nature, all of the Batman movies are a bit too unrelentingly dark and a bit oppressive for me as far as the color of the movie, and this is no exception in that regard.
The ending was quite fine and sent chills through me.
All in all, I would recommend this movie, but it's far down on my list of favorite comicbook action movies. (My #1 favorite being Spiderman 1 and my #2 favorite being X-Men 1.)

Finally the perfect storm... an actor giving the performance of his life (albeit his last), and a director giving comic book movies credibility, and a movie that lives up to the summer hype. This move is visually stunning, well written, directed, with actors deep into there rolls. It's what we have been waiting for when it comes to Batman. This movie has set a new standard when it comes to the comic book or hero genre.... thank you Heath Ledger...

I would have to say this was the best Batman movie ever made; by far Heath's best formance. I thought his rendition of the Joker was perfect. It is a long movie, so be prepared to sit for 2 hours 45 mins, but well worth it!!!! I would see 1000000 times!

Was very entertaining! Heath Ledger was outstanding. Don't know if anyone could ever top his version of the Joker. Preferred Maggie Gillanhall over Kate Holmes. She is a more natural actress. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman always a treat. And Christian Bale played a terrific Batman. Very enjoyable.

this was one of the best batman movies ive ever seen. heath ledger reinvented the joker and showed his psychotic side, truely realistic. however i would say that christian bale was below standards as batman. when he talked it was under his voice, like he was whispering and sounded like he had a lisp. didnt make for a very convincing batman. i think it was great that they brought in harvey dent as two face. it definatly opens it up for another movie in the series. the setting in chicago shows the beauty of the city and being from chicago i loved it. I LOVED THIS MOVIE. i cant wait to see it in imax :)

If it wasn't for the Joker and his charismatic evildoings, this movie would have been too serious for a Batman adventure movie. Hands down! The Joker was the star in this movie....but Christian Bale is still the hottest Batman ever. Rest in peace Heath Ledger....God will forgive you for all your evildoings in this movie.

Great, great movie. Heath Ledger as the joker is brilliant. Aaron Eckhart is perfectly cast as Harvey Dent. Christian Bale did a good job. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seats. One of the best movies of the year!

Very good movie, excellent plot that stayed true to the comics. The acting was superb on everyones part especially Christian Bale.
The action scenes were amazing and looked very stylish. Overall the movie was good and felt very dark and made you feel like you were in Gotham and your city was in a constant state of fear.

First off, thank God Katie dropped out and Maggie stepped in. She was a definite plus in the film and was 20 times more believable.
Everyone has heard about Heath Ledger's performance which is truly unique and disturbing but Aaron Eckhart should also get a lot of kudos for giving a great performance. The people steering the ship should not forget Christian Bale! He's a great actor and the lines he had to work with in this movie were not in keeping with that. A lesser performer couldn't have pulled it off.

Two and a half hours doesn't seem long enough for this great movie. Finally someone is getting comic book movies right. This movie keeps you drawn into it through out. The fighting scenes are filmed better than the first, you get to actually see some good moves this time.
The acting is top notch, all the characters have great depth and meaning to the story line.
Lets see if this time around the Batman series can make it past two great movies without a director kililng the franchise again.
*hint* The Batmobile DOES NOT require neon lights!!!
Again, great movie, I don't see anything coming close to this movie this summer.
