With "The Dark Knight" out and breaking box office numbers. There is alot reason to dub this a success. First lets look at the special effects. Nothing was done over the top, with one execption and that was near the end of the movie, with a device batman had. I feel that it was explained well for the idea of the mythos for comic book fans, but hardly nessesary to have in the movie itself, and I felt that it took away from the story.
The acting couldn't have been much better everyone from big roles like Bale or the late Ledger, to the little roles like the scarecrow wannabe at the begining gave a convincing performance.
The story left things open for a third, I guess. However, this doesn't seem to need another movie it they don't want to. If they do then it wil be hard to achive what they have accomplished and could spoil a good thing.
This is a must see for anyone who wants to see a good action movie, or a great drama.
