This is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen. Heath Ledger was absolutely terrifying as the Joker, and my man Christian Bale did another incredible job as Batman. I can not wait to find out what happens in the next installment.

It's a long 2.5 hours, and since the movie is so intense, it doesn't fly by, but by the end, it's worth it. Great acting, great story, amazing action and all together, you get the best Batman movie ever.

This movie transcends the comic genre ( and all other genres for that matter) and has to be considered as one of the landmark films of the year. The action and violence is intense, exciting, exhilarating, and everything else you expect from a Batman flick, but the cinematography takes it to a whole new level and keeps it from becoming overly gory and over-the-top (which would have been easy for them to do with this script). The story is intense and dark, but it there are enough light moments to keep it from becoming too depressing, and the acting is every bit as good as advertised. While Heath Ledger does deliver the ultimate joker, I never felt that he stole the show. That job was taken by Aaron Eckhart whose understated performance was a beautiful mix of subtlety and charisma. It was an extraordinary performance by the entire cast, though, and amazingly good theater.

The Dark Knight is the first movie in more than 5 years that I have paid to see twice. And I did that on back to back days. The acting from Oldman, Bale, and Gyllenhall are only barely second to what Ledger produces......and what Ledger brought was pure madness. He made me look at the Joker as a being of pure chaos and I am sure it is what drove him to his death

No need to overhype this flick. Yes, it's long. Yes, you think the movie is over and then there's 45 more minutes. But it's all very entertaining. And that's the point right?
In the end, my family and I we're not talking about Christian Bale, it was all about the astonishing and menacing portrayal of the Joker by Heath Ledger. And ultimately how sad the reality of his death. We all have our demons.. he was holding his a little closer I guess.
Heath Ledger was nothing short of astonishing in this film. every moment he was on screen, you were entranced... every moment you anticipated his apearance was an adrenaline rush.
I will see it again in a few days on a church staff outing. My pastor is psyched.... he hasn't gone yet... will be fun to see what you always miss the first time around.

I took my 10 yr old son with me to this movie and even @ 10 he said this was the best movie he had ever seen....We both loved it and will probably go back to see it again!! This will definetly be a movie that we buy on DVD when it comes out!! Exellant flick....

Wow - I was really looking forward to the movie, kind of afraid that Heath's death would depress me - totally forgot he was the Joker within minutes. All the major players were excellent - but Heath was out of this world as the Joker - not some idiot playing himself as the Joker (Nicholson) - but really becoming a psycho. The action was fast, they filled out the characters even more. The gadgets were cool - but did not steal the show from the story or the acting, several stunts and moments had people around me gasping and saying "cool". The Joker is a little rough for the younger crowd - but my daughter saw the last one in the theater and she wanted to see this one too - she loved it.

This is an amazing movie that lives up to the hype. You feel what life is like in Baghdad, er Gotham City, when the Joker unleashes his terror. Outstanding performances, a near-perfect script, and even though it's 21/2 hours, you wish it would never end! It does get you exhausted, like a good workout. Tense, taut, and a message with great action sequences. This is now the comic book movie to be compared to, and should rake up nominations.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Probably could have been called "The Deep Knight" for all the moral messages played out. Ledger's performance as evil/anarchy incarnate is stunning and visceral; maybe one monologue too many but I can overlook that since there'll never be another from him. Oddly (or maybe intentionally) Batman remains the enigma and we understand more clearly the bad guys. Effects are terrific - truly cinematic and add to the film, not just effects for effects sake.

This film was everything i expected and more. Yes there was a lot of action and more to the story line then in any Batman movies but that just added to the overall movie experience. This was the best way to spend my birthday and plan to see it again on the IMAX screen to see it in a different way. A must see for all Christian Bale and Heath Leadger fans.

The Dark Knight was a non-stop thrill, beginning to end, with plenty of jaw-dropping, "how did they do that" moments. Kudos to all actors for his/her excellent performances, especially recently departed Heath Ledger, who scared all audience members with his creepy, looney, psychopathic Joker.

The Dark Knight was OUTSTANDING. I bought my tickets online because I was sure the movie would be sold out. My daughter and I got there 20 minutes before the movie started and the theater was packed. All I can say is YOU MUST GO SEE THIS MOVIE! Don't watch the bootleg, you won't get the entire experience. Health was insane & fantastic. I can't believe he is no longer with us. I wanted to watch it again!

This movie is good, but not as good as everyone is claiming it to be. You can absolutely tell that this movie was the sequal. All sequals lack something, and this one def did. Maybe it was too long, maybe it jumped around a lot. I went to see the movie sooo excited and could not wait to see it. After seeing it, I thought that the Hulk was a better movie. I am a huge huge Batman fan compared to a Hulk fan, but the Hulk I thought was more suspensful and not drawn out.

Great sequel to Batman Begins. Wonderful detail on some of the characters which will lead into a better knowledge when the third movie in this trilogy comes out. Heath Ledger is outstanding, as is Gary Oldman. I would have liked more with Bruce Wayne, as in the first movie, to get to know him a little better and to see more of the relationship problems with others (especially his long time friend/girlfriend). None the less, this is an outstanding movie with great effects and action, do not miss it.
