Excellent, excellent, excellent. Probably could have been called "The Deep Knight" for all the moral messages played out. Ledger's performance as evil/anarchy incarnate is stunning and visceral; maybe one monologue too many but I can overlook that since there'll never be another from him. Oddly (or maybe intentionally) Batman remains the enigma and we understand more clearly the bad guys. Effects are terrific - truly cinematic and add to the film, not just effects for effects sake.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
