Loved this movie, terriffic experience, wonderfully acted. My one and only issue was the story line with two-face could have been left for a third movie, it seemed a bit superfluous which, indeed, made the movie longer than necessary.

I am a huge Batman fan and I have to say that this might be the best one ever. The cast was great, everyone from Bale to Cain. And as far as the Joker goes...wow. Ledger was unreal as the Joker. Scary and twisted but with a little humor. Just a perfect film.

The movie was very good. Christian Bale should get an oscar for his role as the joker. A little long at times. Rachel was really a non entity. Hope that there will be another sequel.

This movie took a familiar storyline and saturated it with creativity. There was lhoughtful and eloquent depth integrated throughout. I highly recommend it.

I was not even a fan of Batman............but I am now. My only regret is that we will never see Heather Ledger play the Joker again.

This movie was excellent in all respects from writing, editing, music, -- especially the actors.
I'm still thinking about it and can't wait to see it again. It's that kind of movie that needs more viewing to absorb all that is going on it. It was absolutely fantastic -- highly recommended. Sad we won't be able to see Heath Ledger again.

I was concerned that this film wouldn't live up to the hype... and I found no reason to worry once I left the theater.
Nolan is an incredibly skilled director, perfectly balancing the talents of Bale, Ledger, Oldman, Freeman, Caine, and Eckhart with a masterful hand.
Iron Man was fun and perfectly met its goal, but Dark Knight was brooding, thought-provoking and downright chilling at times.
The script was innovative, the action wasn't over-the-top and the visual effects were perfect.
This is the best movie I've seen in the past few years, and given the thousands of movies I've watched, that's saying a lot.

Fantastic acting, directing, and writing. This is more then just the best comic book movie ever, its an overall fantastic movie that stands on its own. Add in Heath Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker and you have yourself one of the most memorable movie experiences in years. If you are a fan of Batman, it is a must see. Hell, if you are a fan of movies it is a must see.

My college age son recommended this movie saying it was the best movie he's ever seen.
I don't totally agree with that since weird movies creep me out. It had you on the edge of your seat, but some of the plots were hard to follow.
My husband said he was lost after the first hour....

The first half of the movie really seemed like nothing more than an excuse for violence, albeit entertaining for the most part. Heath Ledger's performance was just incredible, however, and really made the movie worthwhile. the rest of the acting was sub-par, and this is coming from an avid Christian Bale fan. I don't think this movie would have gotten nearly the hype it did without Heath Ledger's performance, and sadly, his passing.

What a great movie!!! Heath Ledger did a great great great job in his portrayal of the Joker. Jack Nicholson is a tough act to follow, but Heath met that challange.
The story told by the movie was a good one and the charaters they introduced and killed were done well.
Can't wait for the next installment. Only downside is that Heath Ledger will not be able to revive his role as the Joker.

TDK was a good movie, but it certainly wasn't the epic masterpiece that it was hyped to be and that I HOPED it would be. I went into this movie with expectations soaring, and went out 2.5 hours later somewhat disappointed. I kept waiting for the definitive moment to make this movie the instant classic, and quite honestly it never came. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie with great performances especially by Heath Ledger, but between an at-times confusing plot, garbled/whisper-level conversations at some key points (which didn't help with trying to follow the plot), and an ending that (without giving anything away) makes very little sense from a logical standpoint other than setup drama for Batman 3 I am still sad that this movie did not live up to my expectations. Most others probably disagree, and I will definitely watch again when it comes to DVD, maybe I just hoped for too much.
