Good but not Great as Hoped/Hyped

TDK was a good movie, but it certainly wasn't the epic masterpiece that it was hyped to be and that I HOPED it would be. I went into this movie with expectations soaring, and went out 2.5 hours later somewhat disappointed. I kept waiting for the definitive moment to make this movie the instant classic, and quite honestly it never came. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie with great performances especially by Heath Ledger, but between an at-times confusing plot, garbled/whisper-level conversations at some key points (which didn't help with trying to follow the plot), and an ending that (without giving anything away) makes very little sense from a logical standpoint other than setup drama for Batman 3 I am still sad that this movie did not live up to my expectations. Most others probably disagree, and I will definitely watch again when it comes to DVD, maybe I just hoped for too much.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
