My family was on the edge of our seats! Exciting and entertaining. The Joker character was funny, sad, and scary all rolled up into one. Props to Heath Ledger!!! Christian Bale is the ultimate Batman!

This is one of the first sequels I've ever seen that was better the first in the series. And as good a movie as Batman Begins was, that's saying a lot.
It was a lot darker than I expected and delved deep into the human psyche. Heath Ledger's role as "The Joker" was the best acting I have ever seen.

This movie was so good I had to see it twice and I know I'm not alone! There was not a single dull moment in this entire movie with its sensational performances, hard-hitting action, and massive explosions! I always said Keaton was my favorite Batman but unlike the other Batmans who came after him, Bale does not disappoint and you know what? Heath Ledger doesn't either as the Joker! Forget 10 Things I Hate About You, Knight's Tale, and Brokeback Mountain, this is Heath Ledger as you've never seen him before and even as you watch the movie you still don't see him because he completely disappears into the character, leaving you scared, amused, and intrigued! This movie lived up to the hype and I am furthermore excited seeing the Batman franchise continue!

This was a great movie-superbly done! Great entertainment, performances were stellar! Special effects-well, just absolutely special. I would suggest hitting the restroom minutes prior to viewing...as sitting for 2+ hours gets a little dicey toward the end-but who wants to leave and chance missing something!

Unbelievable performance....Didn't think he could outdo Jack Nicholson, but Heath Ledger was In a totally different ballpark. Without respect to any sympathy factor, i.e. if he were still alive, he is without question the strongest Oscar Leading Actor of all time. Horrifyingly psycho, yet lovingly hilarious!!

Too much! I felt like I'd been beaten when I walked out of the theater. Despite doing a good job as Bruce Wayne, Christian Bale does something weird with his voice when he's talking as Batman, which is really silly. The filming in Chicago was pretty cool, as was the Batmobile/Batcycle. There was almost no attention paid to the relationship between Batman and his girl, though, so when that went south, did anyone really care? And isn't that supposed to inform his character to a great extent? It seemed like the director had to choose between spending time on character development vs. more violent action scenes (as if there weren't enough of those...) and the choice was made to go over the top with the action and violence. Maybe I'm just too old for these movies (and I'm not even 40 yet...)
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I went to see this movie with my dad and brother and I thought it was going to be good. But I was wrong it was Awesome. I still recommend that parents dont let their kids under 12 see this movie because of the violence. It was awesome and I thought that Heath Ledger played the Joker superior and he is the best joker ever.

The movie was real good even epic, but with this comes length. I could not see cutting the length of the movie so they need to put an intermission in. Movie was 2:30 plus 15 minutes of previews plus the need to get there 18 minutes or earlier to get a seat. I was in my seat for a total of 3 hours. That is a long time.

The themes, the action, the direction and the amazing score all combine to make this the best superhero movie ever. Heath Ledger's performance is the greatest villain put on screen in any movie. He alone is worth the price of admission. It is tragic to see him pass away, and my heart goes out to him and his family.

I'm sure by now the reviews have made it clear that this is a truly outstanding movie. It isn't surprising, considering how many top shelf actors are in it, all with independant movie cred and multiple awards across the board. Everything about this film was excellent, from the script to the acting to the pace to the hooks. It was exciting, heart-rending, gut-wrenching and like all Batman movies should, put the "hero" on a relateable level with the audience. I believe this is the best Batman movie yet, and of course, Heath Leger as the Joker was perfect. Best. Joker. EVER!
I'm going to go see it another few times so I can really soak in the psychology of it. Wow.

This movie kept me captivated from start to finish never letting up in its 2.5 hour run time. The action, cinematography, and acting was so intense throughout, i was exhausted by the end (but in the best way possible). The storylines all worked well and improved as the movie progressed.
Heath Ledger gave a tour de force performance and Oscar or not will go down as one of the greatest of all time. He perfectly captured the character down the smallest detail. Of course, the other performances were fantastic as well and I feel every character was well represented.
The ending left you wanting more but didn't berate itself by setting up a third movie (which I feel only undermines a great movie as this story should be good enough on its own). It has been years since I've seen a movie more than once in the theatres but I'm making plans to see it again and I'll probably end up seeing it 3-4 times before I'm the first in line for the DVD later this year.
To summarize, it was a grand scale film with an all time great performance and was everything a movie should be.

I would highly recommend this film but not for little children say 4-12 who are expecting more of the tradtional Batman. The film does follow more of the tradtional "dark side" of the Batman story which makes the film more realistic but is a little intense for that age group.
The cast is outstanding and Ledger will most ceratinly win an oscar for his portrayal of the Joker. Not because tragically he's passed away but because he was simply brillant! The sub plots work very well and adding two-face to the mix was unexpected twist but a solid choice!
The film is a little long BUT the storyline does keep you involved from begining to end. I actually plan on seeing it again! While violent certainly not gory which I appreciate!
