This movie kept me captivated from start to finish never letting up in its 2.5 hour run time. The action, cinematography, and acting was so intense throughout, i was exhausted by the end (but in the best way possible). The storylines all worked well and improved as the movie progressed. Heath Ledger gave a tour de force performance and Oscar or not will go down as one of the greatest of all time. He perfectly captured the character down the smallest detail. Of course, the other performances were fantastic as well and I feel every character was well represented. The ending left you wanting more but didn't berate itself by setting up a third movie (which I feel only undermines a great movie as this story should be good enough on its own). It has been years since I've seen a movie more than once in the theatres but I'm making plans to see it again and I'll probably end up seeing it 3-4 times before I'm the first in line for the DVD later this year. To summarize, it was a grand scale film with an all time great performance and was everything a movie should be.
