This movie was action packed! Christian Bale as Batman was amazing. The stoyline is an intense and well thought out plot. Heather Ledger there are no words for how fantastic he was. His acting was nothing short of Perfect!

I really enjoyed this movie. I do have to say it's a bit long - but not in the sense that the movie lulled at any point - just a long time for me to sit still. The Joker character was wonderfully portrayed - one of the best out of all the Batman movies. Met all my expectations.

Performances by every character was excellent. Heath shined as the joker, acted perfectly. and Christian performed brilliantly by showing his character was still growing. Even Harvey Dent did not disappoint. For a comic book fan this movie was excellent

The Dark Knight was an excellent movie in every regard. Across the board, there was conflicts at every turn and yes, the Joker was amazing. Easily in the top 10 of greatest "Bad Guys" of all time. What I liked most were the characters outside of the batman, including Bruce Wayne, and how their lives became involved due to the Jokers unique and ruthless style. Easily 5 starts.

The Dark Knight continues where the previous installment leaves off. It continues with it's dark tone, and refines it where necessary to deliver a truly spectacular performance. A high edge of emotion, adrenaline, and visual effects pump through this movie from start to finish (It is 2 1/2 hours long so that's a testament to quality). Christian Bale lends a rock-solid aura to Batman, as the late Heath Ledger delivers a truly shocking and ominous performance as the joker. Rarely does a movie exhibit such acting talent, let alone a super hero movie. Ledgers chilling joker against Bales fearsome Batman makes for a visually and cognitively stunning movie performance. The movie was sold out 30 minutes after I purchased tickets, and such is well deserved.

My fiance and I love action movies, but are hard critics with what we see. This movie blew us away. Not only was it full of action and suspense, but the acting was unbelievable!! We are sorry for the passing of Mr. Ledger as he was one of the best actors of today. This is a MUST SEE!!

Great movie from beginning to end. Two or three different times you feel like it's going to end, and then a whole new, excellent plot starts to unravel. Best Batman ever. Heath is awesome - and will have deserved to win best supporting actor. Morgan Freeman and Christian Bale also outstanding.

I loved this movie from the opening scene to the very last. Heath Ledger is mesmerizing as the Joker. Never have I seen the spirit of anarchy so completely realized. Christian Bale is by far my favorite Batman. Gary Oldman's Gordon is very believable and real. Aaron Eckhart was absolutely brilliant. Christopher Nolan's direction and pacing kept me glued to my seat for the entire 2 hours and 30 minutes. I can only hope he signs on for #3. I will happily pay to see this movie again.

Heath Ledger was outstanding in this movie. He played the part perfectly. One wanted to not like his character, but ended up feeling rather sorry for him.
In my opinion, the movie was about thirty minutes too long. It seemed as if more time was needed for more implausible and elaborate schemes to be played out.
The movie is worth seeing if, for no other reason, than Heath Ledger's Joker - OUTSTANDING...Academy Award worthy!

Although the hype to this movie seemed impossible to reach, the Dark Knight eclipsed my expectations. Heath Ledger was incredible, perhaps even better than Jack Nicholson in the 1989 version. It left the plot wide open for a third movie, with many unanswered questions about the Joker and Two-Face. Who on earth would play Robin, should that character be included in the next installment?

This movie is not only a breath of fresh air, but it was a long time coming for Batman fans everywhere. This is the movie that I, an advid comic book reader, has been waiting decades for. This is not only a great comic book movie...it is a great movie period. Heath Ledger as the Joker has taken a once campy psycho to greater and more distubing hights. The is the most earnest and sinister interpritation of Batman since Frank Miller's "Return of the Dark Knight" If you are not a comic book lover...it doesn't matter it is a thrill ride from start to finish, and if you do love comics this movie will definately put a smile on you face wether you like it or not.

Christian Bale is, without doubt, the best Batman the franchise has had to date. Michael Caine is a wonderful Alfred. The writing, action, and filming of the movie made for a riveting movie. However, the show stealer is Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker. He is incredibly dark and disturbed. I would not take a young child to this movie--there were times it was too intense for me!
I'm glad to see the Batman movies return to the comic book essence of the legend and leave behind the 60s camp. Excellent movie.

I see every super hero movie no matter how good or how bad people are saying it is, it's just my wheelhouse and I like to see peoples interpretations of things that I grew up with and this movie is by far and away the greatest of this genre that I have ever seen. The ride that Christopher Nolan takes you on is non-stop for two and a half hours, even though it may feel hesitant here or there, everything flows and it's sooo beautifully done it's hard to say a bad word about it. If there was any downside or something that true fan-boy Batman followers my not like is that the Dark Knight almost plays a supporting role in his own movie. Heath Ledger is soo remarkable in a role that he truely made his own he dwarfs who he is with on screen. It is The Joker's movie not Batman's or Bruce Wayne's but irregardless the movie is a masterpiece. 5 stars.

This was a great movie. Heath Leader was the best Joker ever, 10x better than Jack Nicholson in 1989. Batman was Batman, not the Punisher and Two-Face was incredible. My only beef with the movie was the fact that it had Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhall instead of Katie Holmes and William H Macy who played the same rolls in Batman Begins. Not having a consistant cast was a factor in what killed the franchise the first time.

the best batman movie ever. doesnt even feel like 2 and a half hours. the end got a littel deep w/ the symbolism as opposed to the previous 2 hours and 15 minutes of action but it was well balanced.

In my opinion before seeing the movie it was too hyped up and i had to lower my expectations before going in. Because of the untimely death of Heath Ledger you will hear a lot about the movie, the movie is excellent , but some of us who truly appreciated the first (batman begins) maybe expecting too much by all the hype. I was expecting the 2nd to be much better than the first because of all the buzz. I think they are equally as well made without dull moments, the dark knight has a little more action because we already know the story of how batman begins, so 5 stars out of 5, but it is not fair to expect to see 10 stars out of 5. Unfortunately people will do that before you see a film you have been waiting to see.
