This movie was in a word, Kickass. It was so dope I almost cried. I am a 31 year old man and shouldn't be talking like this, but I am moved. I really feel the loss now, that we have been deprived of any more of Ledger's genius. He was the best villian of cinema history. Do yourself a favor and see this movie, if you dont like it, then you have had a dual hysterectomy with accidental removal of shaft.

I thought the movie it was really good, I liked how I kept wondering what was gonna happen next throughout the whole movie. The tricks that the joker played were relly funny, sad for the characters in the movie, but it made the audience laugh

The movie was too long the plot was not fu;;y deelped but the action was good. Sound relied too heavily on deep base noise for effect. I recommed it only for the action scenes and the acting of the late villian.

This movie was PACKED with action, surprises, anticipation, and laughs! I Loved it!
Heath Ledger was awesome as the Joker! He really became the character!
This movie was kind of long though! And I was lost in the beginning. It took me a while to understand all of the drama going on the with mob and the banks....Hmmmmm. I though that this could have been written better...easier to follow. Less talk and more action in the beginning was needed!

The villians make the movie, right? I never thought Jack Nicholson's Joker performance would be topped. But this is a completely different "Batman" movie, and Heath Ledger's Joker is definitely frightening. Would go to see it again tomorrow.

Ledger's performance was memorable yes, but Thumbs Down on the movie... nearly three hours on a merry go round is too much, even for a five year old.. The message the movie clearly sends is that while crime may not pay, it doesn't have downside ramifications or consequences either... Not the message to send to the next generation I think... This film could stand a strong re-edit...

Answer is yes, and not just by a little, but by a lot. Never has a comic book movie gone to the emotional depths of so many characters while maintaining action and humor. Heath Ledger is nothing short of brilliant as the Joker and it makes his untimely death even more heartbreaking. I thought no one could outshine Jack Nicholson's Joker, but this is not your parent's comic book movie. It's brutal and real and heart breaking at the same time. The acting is top notch and the story lives up to the hype.

This was action-packed, with a great story line and great acting. As everyone else says, Heath Ledger's role is outstanding and very deserving of every award out there. The rest of the actors also deserve recognition though, for their realistic portrayals of their respective characters. Two thumbs up, and I will most likely see this at least one more time in the theatre.

First off believe the hype for this movie because all the expectations are true. The movie has plenty of action and suspense to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Heath Ledger has far surpassed the role of joker that Jack Nicholson played in the original batman movie. Heath brought a much more real version of the joker to "The Dark Knight" in more of the way the comic books depicted the joker to his enemies. The extreme downside to this movie could only be the fact that Heath, RIP, cannot return to his role as the joker in the next installment but he left on such a positive note in his career and I applaud him for this movie and everything else he did in his career. Besides just the joker, two face was a nice shake-up towards the ending that aaron eckhart performed quite well, again implementing the role that two face played in the comic books rather than a cartoon version that tommy lee played in batman returns. Christian Bale as well played "The Batman" quite well becoming again more dark than in the original batman movies. Bale has made the role of batman as "dark" as the title insists in "The Dark Knight." Overall I think it maybe one of the best super hero movies yet and it will take a lot for the writers and director to surpass the quality of "The Dark Knight."

The movie was the best Bat Man movie yet. Best actors, story, scary, funny, exciting, fun!It was good to not see the "entire" Bat Man outfit this time, but only that which was needed to be seen - allowing us to be a bit more enthralled by his body and the mysteriousness of who he is.
The only point that was a bit straining was the voice of Bat Man. His deep grating voice could have been a bit less bothersome had they made him less eerie and friendlier to the townspeople. But that didn't keep us all from coming!
We lost a good friend in the movie, 2 actually, but that just means that there will be more excitement to come in the future!
Great job!!

I was utterly amazed with this movie. I went in knowing there would be action, among other things. I was floored by the acting in this film. Heath Ledger of course was fantastic, but I thought Aaron Eckhart and Gary Oldman did an excellent job too. This movie was a bit more darker, and a bit more serious then the first one. I left the theater in a daze, impressed with what I saw. I would recommed this movie to anyone that will listen to me.

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this movie. I don't believe that it was better than Batman Begins, but it was very good. There was quite a bit of the story that I believe was missed the first time seeing it as there were several large rabbit trails to the main plot. The performances were outstanding and Heath Ledger's Joker will no doubtingly go down in history as one of the best villain performances of all time. I'm not giving the movie 5 stars as I believe that the story could have been shaped up a bit more and I don't believe that it had nearly the "wow" factor that Batman Begins had. Parents, please keep in mind that this movie is borderline on the "R" rating due to the very dark and demented character of Joker. I would only recommend this film to persons that I believe could handle the slasher style violence in the movie. Otherwise, if you are in to comic book films or action films, this movie will not disappoint.

The Dark Knight dropped any sort of notion that a superhero movie has to be cartoonish, filled with corny punch lines, or targeted towards a younger audience. The Dark Knight is an amazing crime drama filled with suspense and unseen plot twists. Heath Ledger brings something into the movie that I have never seen before nor can I put my finger on. All of the other ctors do an amazing job likewise. I left the movie with an odd sense of inspiration and hopelessness. I would recommend this movie to anyone. And i give it a 10/10
