Okay, here is the scoop. The movie is much better than the sad bit of film years back. It could still have more energy to the plot as it lags a bit. The computer effects for the Hulk however are top notch and truly represents the "old school" hulk in terms of the 1970's comic book facial features. Liv Tyler was very boring in her role and one can only stand soooo much of the perky lip/sad eye looks. Edward Norton is simply a great actor and brings his skill to any role, so this wasnt a stretch for him to bring the character to life and allow someone to forget the mistake of the first movie years ago. I wont get into the "surprise" ending only to say that if the Marvel plan is to have a spin off of every movie, they also better plan on having theaters for us aging comic book fans with more comfortable seats and better food as we will all be in out late 60"s before all the sequels will be done! A pretty good summer movie.

I couldn't wait to see this movie! Went this past Thursday evening to avoid long lines and crowded theatres. The lines were short but based on the theatre I guess everyone else had the same idea.
I never saw the first movie with Eric Bana nothing against him but he just wasn't Bruce Banner. The animation looked far to like Saturday morning cartoons (or the Ultimate Avengers I and II).
This one with Ed Norton delivered with a huge PUNCH! The movie kept me on the edge of my seat cheering for the Hulk. Tim Roth was his classic self and played the perfect villain. I found Liv Tyler's character as Betty Ross kind of one dimensional but it didn't detract from the movie neither did the love story angle. I cheered and lead the claps during our viewing. I am going back to see it again this weekend.
Not only would I recommend to friends, I told everyone I came in contact about how great this movie was/is.

IT AMAZING HOW FAR WE HAVE COME, I REMEMBER WATCHING THE INCREDIBLE HULK WHEN I WAS A YOUNG GIRL, SO I WAS ABLE TO COMPARE THIS MOVIE WITH THE OLD ONE AND I THINK THIS ONE WAS PRETTY GOOD THE SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE OFF THED HOOK. This movie took me back to my childhood, I was a fan of the T.V. Series and it made me think of the struggle Bruce Banner had to endure to try to live with the Hulk. VERY Close to the comic book and a true joy for fans and non-fans alike. Not at all like the first movie. Ed Norton is a perfect Bruce Banner!

At first I was hesitant to watch Hulk.I mean I saw the 2003 movie and was kinda bored with it.I thought I already new the story line.But my husband wanted to see it so there I came along.To my surprise from the start to the last I was amazed.Excellent story line.No space for boredom.Edward Norton is such a great actor.He captured the heart and soul of the Hulk.All of the other actors were great too.This is such a beautiful movie.Now I am hooked with the Hulk.I can't wait to watch the second installment.Wish there would be another one real soon.

Good movie and a definite upgrade from Ang Lee's version. Nice subtle tips of the cap to the tv series, obviously Lou Ferigno as the Security guard, but also the device Banner is testing on in the beginning, the college student who happened to be a reporter for the college newspaper, Jack McGee and if I believe that was Bill Bixby in The Courtship of Eddie's Father on tv when Norton was trying to learn Portuguese. The action scenes in this movie were very good and this is a good popcorn movie, NOT Iron Man good but worth the watch!

I truly enjoyed The Incredible Hulk,of 2008! It was much better than the 2003 version. Initially I questioned why did they make another but now I am soooooo glad they did. I love Edward Norton rendition of Dr. Banner and I will definitely see this movie again. SHE HULK:)

Superior to Ang Lee version. True to Stan Lee and the original comic book character. Fast-paced, crisp editing allows action throughout the entire movie. Totally believable performance from Ed Norton's effort. He brought the "real" Hulk to life as we all imagined him. Tim Roth wasn't as edgy a villian as I like. Considering the character he was paid to play, I found his physical stature distracting next to William Hurt's height and rank. I loved the tie-in twist at the very end of the movie and anxiously anticipate future development.

Some people are saying that this version of the Hulk is what the "Ang Lee version should've been". I wonder if those people know what they're talking about. Ang Lee's film was a distinctly cerebral film. It was about more than just the Hulk smashing things, and that's what made it good. The least interesting thing about the Hulk is the Hulk himself, so it makes sense to focus on Banner's trials. This film is no different. In terms of sheer minutes given to the Hulk smashing things, it's pretty much equal. With Ed Norton added to the cast, the film upticks in acting quality clearly, but he also solidifies what worked in the first film, which was capturing Banner's deep pain and inner turmoil. This film focuses on that aspect even more with Norton's inclusion. I could've done with less Liv Tyler. They should've stuck with Jennifer Connelly who is a FAR superior actress. I also preferred Sam Elliott's Thunderbolt Ross, who more perfectly captures the grit and orneriness of the comic book Ross. A good film, but not significantly better than the original.

All of the acting is very good. The story is good. The animation is good. Yet, I'm unsure of why I didn't enjoy Incredible Hulk more. There's humor. There's a love story. Yet, what I came away with more than anything is the feeling that Rio is a very poor city and that the American Military has no regard for the lives of civilians in other countries. Is that what Hulk was aiming for? Because I think that Iron Man did a much better job of telling that story, with more fun and better action.

Actually, I'd give it 4.5 Stars, but that isn't an option. There was a little of everything for everyone. It had numerous nods to both the old tv show and the comic. The CGI was much better than the previous Hulk movie, but still wasn't all that realistic. I guess the technology isn't there yet.

I know I didn't complete the title, there is a reason for that. This movie is definitely a go see. I believe it's definitely one of the best marvel movies made. Maybe I'm biased because of my love for the comic, maybe I'm biased because I grew up watching Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno (did I spell that right?) play the part. I think that Ed Norton did a great job as Bruce Banner. Liv Tyler didn't do such a great job portraying Betty Ross, unless she tried to make it as much as the comic as possible.

This movie had great action and very good special affects. But, I felt like I was watching "king kong". To much girl-monster connection and not enough fight. and speaking of the fight between the two gargantuas, it was pretty lame at the end. If the hulk just made the monster pass out, what happens when he revives? Not good in that area. Other wise it was done pretty well.

action. suspense. ...monsters fighting. The Incredible Hulk is a perfect follow-up to Iron Man from marvel's new production house. The film plays out almost like Bourne meets Frankenstein/Mr. Hyde. More than perfect for fans of the comic, but also engaging and entertaining for those few out there who know nothing about the hulk.

This movie was awesome. It was fun, funny and full of action. Unlike the 2003 Ang Lee movie, you didn't feel bad for both Banner AND the hulk, you just understood that Banner did not like being in that uncontrolable state. AWESOME MOVE 5 STARS!

Thought the movie was awesome. Was hesitant to see it because there had been one released not too long ago. But this version was much better. Took my 8yr old son and was very pleased they didnt get to sexual in the movie or show people killed (just people hurt mostly). The ending was really a surprise! Give it an 8 on a scale of 1-10(10 being the best)
