The humor was excellent and never childish. The acting by everyone was believable and didn't descend into farce. RDJ was perfect as Stark. All the effects were awesome. The action scenes were meaningful, entertaining, easy to watch!

We watched this movie last night with our sons and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a great plot, it had some humorous parts and grabbed our interest immediately.
There is a short list of movies we'll see this summer & this was the first in the series. We tend to be picky about what we see in the theater because we have our own home theater with (generally) better subwoofers than you find in movie theaters.

This is everything you hoped for with an Iron Man movie. Fans will love the beautiful effects and how true they played to the story, newcomers will be sucked in by Robert Downey Jr.' performance of a wealthy man who suddenly discovers his conscience and decides to do something about it.
Also, be sure to stick around after the credits roll. True believers will not want to miss the little teaser scene they tossed in at the end.

This was just a great movie. I think Marvel Studios did an incredible job with its first release. Very smart to produce your own movies when your characters are involved.
I am not a comic book fan, but this was just a fantastic movie: fast-paced, great character development, well-written script. And Robert Downey Jr. is just amazing!!! I left the theatre wanting to drop another $10 to see it again that night. Can't say enough good things about it.

Truly a movie for all ages. For the preteens who likes the idea of a new superhero. To the young adults who watched the cartoon show on tv. Even for the older crowd who read the comic. A grown up movie without being vulgar. Characters were developed beautifully by both the script and the actors. Action and comedy were blended flawlessly, without having to stretch for laughs or give viewers siezures from flashing lights. My favorite aspect was the fact that the movie was able to poke fun at itself and current events at the same time. A true live action cartoon. I might go see it again.

I was never bored, there was a decent storyline and the cast did a great job! I would recommend this to anyone who asks! Best comic book movie since Superman (1978)!

This movie was one of the best superhero movies made yet this year! The performers seem to fit the roles very well and the action was great but not overpowering. Special effects also played well but did not dominate the movie. One hint if you see it though, stay through the long credits there is a snipit at the end any comic and movie lover will want to see!!!! I am always a skeptic when comics are brought to the big screen but this one hits it right on the money!

Great movie... even when it was slow, the story carried through. There were some very realistic scenes of Middle Eastern activity, although not so realistic that young children would be scared or traumitized. Good plot twists with an unexpected ending... I'm looking forward to another movie with more action and fight scenes. Highly recommended!

Great movie! Casting was perfect. Downey as Stark was perfect casting. With his less than spotless rea-life history and Stark's vices, it was a perfect fit. The story line was very good and the fx were great. I'll probably see it again. In the words of the immortal sage "nuff said"

I am comic book fan. Whenever a comic book character(s) story is made into a movie I'm a little leery that it won't stay true to the comic book. This is not the case with Iron Man. There is plenty of a action, a great bad guy, and the required superhero villain confrontation at the end. Special effects were outstanding and the whole movie was very exciting. Extremely well done.

Warning! There are some spoilers below!
I was very trepiditious going in to see this film with Downey starring as Tony Stark. But I have to say, he hit the nail on the head wth his portrayal. Beyond all my expectations, he was an excellent Tony Stark.
What worked: Everything worked, everything. All the character portrayals were dead on exact, thoiugh I would have liked to have seen more Happy Hogun.
What didn't: The fight scene at the end was too short and too much of him getting his butt kicked for my tastes. It should have been three times as long and it should have been Iron Man winning a decisive victory against Iron Monger. But that was my one and only complaint. All in all ythis was the best Superhero movie since Spider-Man two. I loved it and can't recommend it enough
Go see this and be amazed!

The best comic book movie yet. While it wasn't quite true to form. I appreciated the updated plot line. Who better to play an a-hole billionaire than Robert Downey Jr. I enjoyed Terrence Howard as Rhodes. The one thing I was having a hard time with was the size of Jeff Bridges head. It was enormous and very distacting at times. It is a must see for summer.

Iron Man is probably the best superhero movie I have seen. It contained action, suspense, and it was very funny. Also, Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect man to play the "Bad Boy" superhero. The only possible improvement in Iron Man is that the last 20 minutes were very predictable. Besides that it was a great movie. It's a must see!

It was great to see Robert Downey Jr. in a fantastic movie. It has been a long time since he was in a blockbuster. Jeff Bridges playing an evil character was out of sight.The special effects were outrageous. The only wish I have is more scenes with the suit but this was a great setup for the future.

This movie has it all from the word go. Before you know it the movie is over and you wish that there was more. It has just the right mix of action, adventure, laugh out loud humor, a little sadness and a little love. The stage is set at the end for an Ironman 2 and I for one cannot wait until it is out. This will be a sure bet to buy on Blu-Ray once it is released. I would enjoy watching this movie over and over.

I have seen all of the comic book movies, and most of them leave me cold. I was impressed with Batman Begins, the Spiderman movies and the Punisher. None of them come close to what I saw yesterday. Ironman is a perfect balance of CGI and live action, mixed with some light comedy. I felt drawn into the movie. I was also shocked when I saw Jeff Bridges with a bald head and a beard! Great casting, great movie!

Probably one of the best Marvel comic book superhero movies so far. The special effects are stunning and the story line will keep you interested (even though it's a full two hour movie). It's obvious at the end of the movie that there will be at least one sequel.
Special Note: Stay for a special scene following the credits. It's at the very end of the credits so don't leave the theater (the hint will be that the house lights aren't coming up).
