Very good movie, its as good as Spiderman, just appeals to a different audience. As long as you don't look for total realism in your movies (which if your considering going to a super hero movie you probably don't) then you'll love this movie.

Robert Downy Jr was the perfect choice to play Ironman. The movie was two hours of pleasure. Stan Lee made a character that fit right in with todays world events and life style. This should be seen by everyone, even if they are not a comic book fan. Who does not want to be a billionaire with hot cars, hotter girls, and a cool suit of armor that you can fly through the sky with. Bring on the sequel!

This one hits the target. They did a great job updating the story to a modern context, and RDJ has become Tony Stark in my mind. Even Gwyneth did a good job as pepper.
If you are at all a fan you must see this movie. And if you are not you may want to pick up the comics after you see it. Perfect start to the summer.
And wait in your seat till after the credits; if you don't you will hate yourself. :)

I rated this 4 stars out of 5 because the action scenes were somewhat limited, but this was more than made up for by the storyline, laughs, and Robert Downey Jr as Stark. My girlfriend was lukewarm on Transformers, but loved this too. I would recommend this movie to anyone for 2 hours of great entertainment.

I saw this movie last night. Robert Downey Jr. IS TONY STARK. And just like Tony this movie is dark, funny, full of action, and deep when it needs to be. I'm so jazzed about this movie I'll have to see again, and am on pins and needles hoping for a sequel. Well worth the ticket price and drive.

I loved this movie! Downey was fantastic, I mean really good and the special effects and gadgets was amazing! The supporting actors and the script were not bad either. It was simply Great! I found myself wanting more. I hope Ironman will be back to the theaters again soon.

I have seen every comic book movie that has come out. Up until now I thought Batman Returns was the best yet, but this one even blows that out of the water. Robert Downey Jr. is right on as an arrogant billionaire playboy weapons manufacturer. The way Iron Man comes about is excellently portrayed. It was long (2 hours) but you don't notice it until you leave the theatre. Excellent in every way!

Jon Favreau has hit pay dirt! Kudos Dude!! This has got to be the best cast ensemble for a comic book movie I have ever seen.
Unlike Jack Nicholson's scene chewing in Batman, Robert Downey's interpretation of Tony Stark is brilliant. Even though Obadiah's character was a competitor in the comic the idea of using betrayal by a so-called friend was inspiring.
I took my 3 kids to see the movie and for the rest of the evening we all couldn't stop talking about it. We can't wait to see it again!!

This movie was an unexpected thrill for me. Considering Iron Man has always been one of my least favorite Marvel characters. The movie was done very well and the story was capturing. As far as Marvel movies go, I'd have to rank it up there with the first X-Men and Spiderman.

An exceptional, well acted, funny, hoot of a movie. I am 53 years old....and felt like a kid again. Iron man has long been a favorite of mine and to see the character brought to life was wonderful. Downey is perfect as Stark. Special Effects are great, some great one liners...oh...and stay till all the credits are done! What a treat of a movie.

This is one of the BEST superhero movies, and one of the BEST All-around movies of any genre. 1) Character driven 2) Fantastic FX without it ruling the movie 3) Just enough emotional involvement without becoming a sappy you're-my-true-love situation 4) The casting was dead-on target. Plus, while I haven't read the books, I hear form those who have that this setup is truer to the storyline than a recent cartoon movie. That deserves respect. This production crew did the right thing every step of the way.

The special effects were flawless. There was true comedy, true action and just all-around awesomeness radiated from this movie.
I went and saw it at an 8:30 screening on thursday and just couldnt have enough so I saw it again on Friday.
The movie was mindblowing.

Very well told story, and Jon Favreu did a very good job at directing. Robert Downey Jr. did a superb job at being Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, this is sure gonna put his career back on track.

I personally liked this the best of the superhero movies produced to this date. It, at the very least, ties with Spiderman and Batman. Personally, I thought the special effects were better than Spiderman and the story of Iron Man is more believable anyways. Robert Downey Jr. did an incredible job at playing Stark. This movie was amazing! I'm not a comic book fanatic, and most movies made from them are just okay. This movie was Superb. It had a good story line that was easy to follow. The effects were mind blowing and not just from things blowing up. The sly Tony Stark character was like an extention of Robert Downey Jr.'s personality. I agree with the other critics, this movie single-handedly saved his career. If you don't like him you at least get to see him go smack into a wall a few times, be shot at, and blown up.
This movie is so good I need to see it again and I already saw it twice, two days in a row!

This is a good movie that I'd recommend to anyone. Great cast. Robert Downey Jr. does a great job and is funny in it. The action is pretty good. Soundtrack is good. Everything is great. I love Ironman because he's not some genetically altered guy like most. He's just a guy in a suit he designed. And, unlike other characters again, he doesn't try to hide the fact that he is Ironman. Only complaint I have is at the end I thought that the two enemies would have been shooting more and grappling less, but that's really not that big a deal. I'd recommend this to anyone who liked any of the other Marvel movies that have been made. And then I'd recommend it to everyone else : )
