I saw this movie on Friday. The action and high tech gadgetry were amazing. I loved the story line and Robet Dwoney Jr. is making a great comebac as an actor. I love th action and adventure. I was bothered by the fact that they threw in a bedroom scene. It was totally uncalled for and did not to but took away form the movie. Overall a great movie wit h obvious high expectations of an Iron Man 2.

We took my sons after a birthday party as part of the birthday celebration. I was not looking forward to it and thought I might wait outside. Well I am so glad I didn't. I LOVED IT. This was fantastic. I have not been to a movie in a long time where the audience claps at the end. Awesome. Will definitely go again.

Excellent comic adaptation. My wife liked it and she isn't a comic/video game fan. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the part and the CG was awesome. Great story, a really great movie.

My daughter and I REALLY liked this movie. We watched it on the 1st showing of the day. So we both got a daddy/daughter day together! Both myself and my 5 year old were impressed by the graphics/CGI in the film. At least they didn't show (yet) the darkside of Tony Stark from the comics. Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. should could be given A LOT of credit for their work!

this movie was great. i grew up reading Iron Man and watching the animated version as a
kid. this movie did a great job of keeping it
"comic book". the effects were awesome and the movie moved at a nice pace. i will be seeing
it again. next time I'll bring my kids.

Depending on your mood, you may find a few things that could've needed improvement. For those that want thrills and action adventure, you may be a bit, I said a BIT, disappointed. The movie has a great balance between character development, humor, action, and suspense. Less on suspense than humor. Not much drama either. It did leave you wanting more, though.

I don't usually like action movies, but as a mother of a 9 year old, I had no choice but to go to this one! I loved it! Robert Downey Jr is a star in this movie! And it's OK for the kids! What a hit!!!!

Robert Downey, Jr. was the ideal actor to bring Tony Stark to life. Paltrow as Pepper...perfect!
From the CGI to the plot, the film was every bit as good as opening up the comic and reading the story for the first time, and I am speaking from experience. I look forward to seeing the sequel.

Perfect casting! Robert Downey Jr. has never looked better! I was so glad to see him back in the game. He plays arogance like no one else. Maybe its the whole "bad boy" thing, but Lord he looks hot!! Gweneth Paltrow looks amazing. Mommy hood looks fabulous on her. The movie had action, humor, and a little romance. Just enough to please every viewer. Did I say Robert Downey Jr. looked hot?

I was a little worried about this movie, since the comic alter-ego of IronMan, Tony Starke, is among the biggest playboys of the genre. I was very surprised and pleased that the movie didn't dwell on that, and concentrated more on Starke's character. Having three boys, it is important to me that they get solid messages about what true heroes are like, and what they are not like, and this movie did a great job of exploring what makes a hero truly great. Additionally elements that I typically avoid letting my kids see were minimal or absent altogether, making this a better family film than many others. The action scenes were great, the techno-gadgets intriguing, but best of all it was a good story with great character development. I would definitely see this movie if you like superhero movies!

Upon hearing through word of mouth about the making of the well anticipated armored hero, I fell into a state of temporary shock due to unbelief that there was a director with enough courage to try to pull this one off. Though some comic movies were a tragedy, I must say, he really pulled this one off. From beginning to end I loved every minute of it. To be honest I went to see it twice. Yes! That good! But don't take my word for it. Check it out yourself.

Ok so this was one of the best movies ive seen in along time hands down the best since transformers. The only movie im more excited about seeing has to be the Dark Knight. I totally recommend this movie to families with kids around 10 years cause of the violence and the length. I tell you you wont even notice the 2hr 15min show (unless you drink a large coke and eat large popcorn after that its hard to sit still for 5min...)

I was a bit skeptical of this movie at first because it seems like they're just churning out more and more superhero movies for profit and because of Marvel's last few outings like the disappointing X-Men: The Last Stand or the downright awful Ghost Rider, but I can happily say that I was totally blown away. The pacing is perfect: one scene of nicely sprinkled dialogue and then another filled with slam-bang action. Also, the acting is just brilliant with Robert Downey Jr. giving the best performance I have EVER seen in a superhero film. Along with Elf, Jon Favreau now has another classic under his belt. Another thing is that, like the Spider-Man films, there is hardly any offensive content in it, so to you parents out there, I think you should take your kids out to see it because they will have fun and you will have fun.

as far as comic book to film adaptations, this is on of the best yet Robert downy played the part perfect and the special effects where great. if you like movies with futuristic technology that is not to over the top this movie has it. not to mention a good plot and good dialog. i went to see this twice in 2 days i highly reccomend!

Where other comic book based movies fall short, this one excels. Excellent casting, witty dialogue, an excellent music score...and for the true die-hard comic fan, it is more accurate to the original story than any I've seen so far.

From the first few minutes of this movie starting we jump right into the action, the movie has you hooked and it won't let you go. Iron Man is a solid character from the Marvel catalog and I was very happy that they went with it.
Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark spot on. You see the change from hedonistic playboy to a very concious hero (but still the playboy). The humor is great, not over done or campy, and the action is fantastic. Fans who read the comics will be happy and people looking for a good movie will be more than pleased.
Just make sure you stay untill after the credits!!!!!

I grew up reading the original Marvel comics. When they started making movies of them, I cringed. There have been some good ones - some simply awful.
Iron Man ROCKS!
This is probably Robert Downey Jr.'s best role, and performance, ever. Comic book movies don't get Oscars, but it's not a stretch to say that Downey turned in an Oscar-worthy performance. Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark: Arrogant, yet charming, cocky, self-confident and driven.
Gwyneth Paltrow is fantastic as Pepper Potts. She can handle all Stark can dish out, and it's obvious early that she cares for her boss more than the public thinks.
While Jeff Bridges turns in an adequate performance as bad guy Obadiah Stane, I think he could have ramped it up a bit to make Stane the true scum bag that he is. Maybe it's just that we've seen Jeff play too many uber nice guy roles.
There are some Marvelites who will, of course, take issue with the way the plot runs counter to some of the Marvel Universe (including Terrence Howard's casual introduction as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes.)
I can only say that, as somebody who grew up eagerly reading and collecting Marvel Comics, I am thrilled that Iron Man has triumphed as a movie.
